great pruners for bushes
I like these a lot -- I bought them last May to cut back our lilac and forsythia bushes which hadn't been pruned in several years. The shears cut easily through both thick and thin stems, you can even cut several thin branches at once. I've since used them on average of once a week to cut and trim back tree branches and saplings as well as roses and other bushes. Fwiw, they do tend to do better on green or growing wood than on dead branches. As another reviewer noted, the foam handle covers can slide off but I glued mine back on and haven't had any problems since. The blades are easy to keep clean and the lock keeps them locked even if you say, toss them on the grass or a chair. Note, these aren't for pruning large tree branches or tough, thick bushes but they're great for basic pruning.

Not The FISKARS You Expect
Not what I expected...FISKARS are supposed to be high quality stainlessmade in Finland. These are ordinary steel, ordinary pruners, made in theUSA for Fiskars. I returned them. Fiskars Garden Shears Model 9637 are thereal thing.But now that these pruners are reduced in price, as long asyou know what you are getting, they aren't a bad buy.

Good for Light Duty Cutting
These work fine on green wood up to 1/2" in diameter, but anything larger needs more leverage.The lock is easy to use and very accessable, making one hand operations a breeze.The best thing about these is thatthey'll fit in your back pocket and stay locked.I also have a ratcheting,anvil style clipper that works much better on slightly larger twigs withmuch less effort. ... Beautiful but not squirrel proof
I enjoyed this lovely feeder all winter long until this spring, when the squirrels discovered it.They destroyed the thing.They broke the wood supports, chewed off the rope, and even started eating the plastic feeder tube!So, as attractive as it is, I would not recommend this feeder if you live in an area prone to squirrel abuse!

All-Star Feeder
I give this a 5-start rating because 5 is all there are! I bought this for my mother, who has everything, she loved it. It is lovely, classy, and very well constructed. The only difficulty was that the copper roof has a layerof celophane that is difficult to remove (which is of course an advantaveif you don't want a copper patina-effect). Nice product.

Looks nice next to other feeders

Attractive Immitation Stone
You can barely tell this bird bath is made of platic. It is solid and looks absolutely spectacular in the middle of a small flower garden with a climbing vine to go around the base. Birds like it, although it is too deep for small birds to bathe in. It will accomodate large birds as well. Made in Vermont.

Mundane, pedestrian birdbath.....but well worth acquiring!
OK! So it doesn't have angels, birds, or seraphim welded to the edges! Butwhere we live, the large birds feel comfy in it. We have ravens, robins,and the odd turkey.......yes turkeys visit our bath! And I find this bathto be very stable if the base is filled with sand. Another great,well-priced product from you folks!

looks cheap but it's sturdy
I have some heavy weight birds in my area (seagulls and crows) and this bird feeder does the trick.They can visit and wash off (I generally have to change the water daily) and emerge sparkling clean.It has withstoodheavy traffic, but it really isn't all that attractive.But, you get whatyou pay for... ... So THAT's how you do it!
Here is a book that covers every potential garden project you can think of - and shows them all to you for comparison. Not a typical garden book - information on specific plants and growing instructions are not the main themes here - there are step-by-step plans and project guides for countless garden improvements including building an arbor, creating focal points, planting fruit crops and caring for your water garden, to name a very few. By far the best part of this book is a section titled "What Looks Good When" that helps you plan a true 4-season garden. Subtitles include "Good Year Round" "Long Flowering Season" "Spring" all the way through "Autumn to Winter". How long have you waited for this?! Obviously not a comprehensive list but illustrated with color photos of the plants, it will inspire you to "fix" your two or three season garden and make it a dream all year round. The "What to Do When" section is a fabulous to-do check list that is wonderfully organized by season to help you get all of your tasks done in a timely fashion. The American Horticultural Society has done a bang-up job of giving gardeners some of the best resources in years and done so with beautiful photos, great information and wonderful ideas.

Amazing~!
This book offers a truly vast and amazing amount of information. There are beautiful color pictures or drawings on just about every page. It shows how to do so many things, including pruning, planting trees, etc. It also shows diseased plant samples, types of mulch, lawn alternatives, etc. There is a detailed guide for what garden tasks to perform each season. There is also a guide for plants according to when they bloom so that you can plan for a long blooming season in your garden.
