Decent Blade for crosscutting and plywood
I'd give this a 4.5 if I could.I only rates a 4 for crosscutting.It does a nice job, but nothing outstanding.For sheetgoods, however, it makes extremely nice cuts without any tearout.I've cut baltic birch plywood, MDF, MDO and perfect cuts every time.For these, I'd give it a 5.

Dang that's sweet!
I put this blade on my Craftsman radial arm saw and it completely
changed the way I feel about that saw.Now the thing cuts
like a hot knife through butter.The cross cuts leave end
grain so smooth you'd swear you were feeling a sanded surface
with the grain.Ok, maybe not that smooth, but still, pretty
darn smooth.I haven't tried any other fancy or expensive
blades, but this blade put my old cross cutting blades to
shame.Highly recommended.

Cuts great but...
This blade makes cuts as smooth as glass and does not tend to splinter wood as some other blades do. The only problem is that sometimes it leaves red marks from the tefon on the piece of wood after it is cut. Makes you wonder if it is worth the exta cash. ... Read more

Freud's TK206,10', 24 tooth saw blade
An excellent saw blade, especially for benchtop or contractor saws. Its thinner cutting profile reduces the work required by the saw without affecting the quality of the cut. The wood will need to be cleaned up onthe cut edge,(jointer), but this is a small price to pay when ripping thickhardwoods. It is also one of the lower priced saw blades and Freud onlyputs out quality stuff.Freud's teflon coated 24 tooth blade, (TK206R, Ithink, can't find an I.D. on my blade or package), is an even betterchoice, no pitch to clean. Best ...blade I've used...
I've tried a few of the [similar] range 80-tooth blades, and this one is by far the best. Don't try to compare it to the higher end blades like a Forrest Chopmaster because you will be disappointed, but for [the price], it's a keeper. For the couple of projects I've used it on, it cut smooth and left a nice surface with little sanding needed. It's also very easy to clean up with just soapy water and a brush. I'd say it's a very good blade for the money and likely the best in its class, thus the 5 stars.

A fine saw blade

Excellent Non-Ferrous Metal Cutting Blade
The Freud LU89M series is a great blade. Period. If you've ever cut aluminum with your table or miter saw using a blade designed for wood you know how scary it is. The teeth are not designed for metal and it's very touchy. At any moment the metal can bind, overhead, kick back or throw a tooth. Wood blades are too aggressive for aluminum.

I needed to cut some thick aluminum stock (1/4" and 1-1/2") so I picked up a 10" LU89. Cuts like a dream. Very smooth, very safe. I did install a zero-clearance throat plate on the table saw and clamped the metal to the sliding miter so it wouldn't move, but what excellent cuts! Be sure to wear good eye and ear protection: chips fly. Lubricate the blade with WD-40 or other liquid metal lube (they say the blade won't clear chips if you use a wax lube) and it will just sing. It's like working with a mill.

I look forward to having this quality on my compound miter saw to cut aluminum extrusion for closet door hardware, shower doors and door thresholds. ... Read more

Smooth as Silk
I finally wore out the Freud 80-tooth thin kerf blade on my power mitre saw.It took 8 years of general use - including several solid oak floor installations - to do it.Without hesitation, I purchased the Freud TKR806 to replace it. This blade cuts oak as effortlessly as pine, leaving a cut so smooth it shines! Its also very quiet.I have Freud blades on my radial arm and table saw and couldn't be happier with their performance. Highly recommended!

Teflon Coating is a nice feature.
This is the first Teflon Coated blade I purchsed, and not the last. It offers a great cut in my Delta Contractor saw. It compares to blades costing twice as much. Highly recomended if you're using a smaller HP saw. O-clearance inserts help too.

Performs well on low powered saws

restored my faith in freud
i bought a 50 tooth combo blade by freud and was very disapointed with it even though it had great reviews.but since this was already sent it was to late to cancel the order.when i did get it i put it on my porter cable 10" slider.to my amazement it cut very smoothly and with less resistance.after a cut no sanding was needed at all and no anoying blade marks.with my stock pc blade i could hold the cut piece to a straight edge and see gaps.not so with this blade.and as if that was not enough reason to buy this blade it made my saw run quieter.at 48 bucks this blade rivals those that cost more then twice as much.this is an absolute must have to achieve quality results.you wont be disapointed.

The Best Blades
As a trim sub-contractor we need the best to do the best job. We have always purchased Freud blades. This blade is designed for compound slider saws and it works great. The Teflon coating will keep pitch from collecting around the teeth that slow the cut and starts burning the wood. I have been using these blades for years never to be disappointed. Silky smooth cuts, no burn marks.
I don't know what the guy is talking about with the burn marks, but I don't think it's the blade that's causing them.Everything I've cut so far has been smooth and clean ~ the cut so smooth it's almost shiney like it's been buffed.

I guy who has a woodworking/industrial tools store sold me the blade, told me I'd be just as happy with it as the Forrest WWII and he sells WWII blades also (for a little less than twice the price).He knew I wanted a good value, but I would have gone ahead and bought the WWII if this one wasn't really good.He must be counting on my repeat business, otherwise he'd go out of business being that honest and not trying to push more expensive goods on customers.

I have no idea why the price has gone up to a hundred bucks on Amazon?What's up with that?I got my for less than seventy WITH a free 5" stiffener.

This blade looks good on paper.The plate flatness is nearly perfect with unmeasureable runout.This may be part of the problem, because on my saw, it burns hardwoods (oak, mahogany, etc.)You can't push the piece through the saw fast enough to get a edge without a burn mark, an that is on both sides of the blade.Cut quality is very good, but plan on planing away the burn marks.

Favorite Blade
I was pleasantly surprised by how good this blade cuts.I knew Freud was a good brand and this definately meet all my expectations.

perfect for my screamer

This is a great blade at a good price.
If you've been thinking about a new blade, get this one.It is one of the best all-around 10" blades, especially for the price.The thin kerf saves wood over the long run and I noticed it takes less force to run a piece through and the saw doesn't bog down as much.The super sharp carbide tips really slice through the wood, leaving a clean cut.It also runs quieter than my old blade.The chrome finish should help reduce the friction for a long time since it doesn't build up any gunk on it.Besides that, it just looks good!
