Well made,a true Bessey Clamp
Like the other Bessey clamps in my collection this is well made. Acts like a large jaw vice-grip.Instead of taking the few seconds (minutes) to screw down a clamp this is very quick.Just a squeeze and it's done.Another of of these items that makes you ask why they didn't think of this before.

Heavy duty and one is surprised that it isn't made by vice grip.It has that same heavy feel to it.This was added to my K-Body, K-Body Maxis VarioPivot, Clamping Blocks and KliKlamp collection of fine clamps from Bessey. ... Read more

Not the answer to corner clamping needs
Frankly this clamp is not up to the quality one expects from bessey.Sure it is built like a tank.It does create a pretty good 90% angle joint, the problem I have is that it really doesn't work at all in a lot of cases.I found better solutions with strap clamps and k-body clamps in sets for cabinetry.I think I have used this clamp less than a dozen times in the past two years.Anyone want one slightly used -- cheap.

A great clamp for projects/mending.
I found this clamp to be akward with loose pieces, but its the perfect tool for mending picture frames that need repair.Its biggest advantage is that it ensures that you will keep a true 90 degree angle after you'veclamped your work...no need for additional measuring.

Perfect for center clamp
Ever glue up a large panel, hoping all the clamps and cauls around the outer edge would provide even clamping pressure in the center of the panel? Tired of tying to use spreaders that dont fit?

This clamp hooks into standard Bessey K Body or Trademen bars, and provides good solid clamping pressure to panel edges or Centers. The dual-clamp is far more balanced than it's single ended sister clamp.Can also be used as a spreader attachment.

Having 3-4 of these now, I use them with almost every large-format glue up.

They may work on other bars, but I only like Bessey and have sold off all others I've tried. Buy clamps once - Buy Bessey.

BUILT LIKE A TANK
When i picked up this clamp for the first time i just could not believe the weight and qualty it had.Acme threads,big handle that you can actually grab on to ete.This is German quality in its finest hour when it comes to woodworking tools.I have since bought over 50 various Bessey clamps in the last year.Thanks !

These are a nice clamp for a medium-heavy duty clamp
These heavy duty models from Bessey are a lot beefier than the picture shows. Definitely a strong clamp. I bought a couple to hold things down on the drill press, and for general purpose work. A frequently used size, very handy
Which Bessey clamp is the one most used? I guess that depends on the type of project you frequently do. This particular model fills a very frequently used niche when you want a medium size clamp, with good throat depth and size. The little 4" clamps are probably the ones that get the most frequently used, then comes these. I love my Bessey K-Body clamps, but they only come out when I am assembing or gluing a larger project.
When others say, that you can never get enough clamps, I have to agree with that. The more, and greater variety you have, the better off you are. The one thing for sure is that Bessey clamps are the top of the heap. I still have a little stumbling that I do when figuring out the proper angle to grip the bar when trying to tighten the clamp. It normally takes a little tweaking for it to bite. That is only because I haven't spent the time to get the knack of the angle to bite. It takes only a few seconds to figure it out, but what I should do is spend a few minutes with the Bessey's and let them teach me the sure shot technique to get them to lock on the bar when I want to tighten them up. The handiest
Normally, when I want to glue up some panels, or regular size projects, I use the appropriate Bessey K Clamp. But the greatest number of applications, I reach for one of these. I have a dozen of the 4 inch mini clamps, and use the heck out of them. Sometimes I reach for the handy 4" clamp, and it is less than an inch too small. That is why I just picked up four of these 8" minis as well.
I am telling you that these will become the most used clamps in your arsenal. I display my K-Clamps proudly, but these are the ones that get the most use. It is a little tricky when tightening them up to get the clamp at the right angle, so they "grab" and start to tighten. A little nuisance next to their overall usefulness. I highly recommend them, and are sure they too will become your handiest device, whether you are gluing up, holding a piece onto a fence, or securing a piece of scrap stock against your work piece to prevent tear out, to just mention a few.
