Great Extension Cord
I bought this Extension cord to work with my Toro 38025 1800 Power Curve Snow Thrower I got from Amazon. I was a bit hesitant at first thinking I really didnt need 100 feet but now after 18 inches of Snow today im glad I got it. This cord works great! The color makes it very easy to see in the snow and with the added length I was able to clear Snow all the way to the back of my house and from both my neighbors houses. If you have an electric Snowblower then this is the Cord to go with!!!

Might as well get the long ones....
It never fails, that when you need a jump, you are parked nose-in the parking space. With 25 foot cables, you don't need to push the car out. Plus, it doesn't matter what side the battery is on.AMAZON.COM sells 12, 16, 20 and 25 foot lengths. Compare the prices, and the 25 foot is a good value for just a little extra money. Thick, heavy, 4 gauge wire provides quick starts (these things weigh about 15 pounds!). Each clamp has a glow in the dark polarity indicator on it. At first, this sounds like a solar powered flashlight, because the cables are stored in the dark trunk, but ten seconds in front of the booster car's headlights will charge them up. Works as Advertised
This reel extension unit works just like I had envisioned.It's heavy duty 12-gauge for multiple power tools, good length to get around my shop and driveway, and extends and retacts just fine.Yes, it is big, but that's what a 12-gauge 50ft reel is going to be in footprint.Now, you could make this setup cheaper with a 50 or 100ft cord and manual reel, but I needed to hang mine on a 10ft. ceiling.This product works, it's big, and no problems noted on quality or mechanics.

Great Product!
Works as advertised.Unlike the first poster, I have had no problems with this unit.I have it mounted on the ceiling, and the retract function works flawlessly.It is a welcome addition to my workshop.Highly recommended.Oh yeah - the thing is BIG.

Frustrating
I bought this reel as a gift, but after inspecting the retract funtion, there was no way I was going to give this as a present. The retract function rarely worked, and once we got it to lock the cable out it wouldn't retract, we tried the directions and mounted it in the horizontal and vertical positions, nothing worked. For the time it took to get the cable to lock out I could have un-coiled an extension cable and coiled it back up. End result: for $100 it just isn't worth it. It works!
It's crazy long and orange, but man, does it pack a powerful electric bite! All you have to do is plug the male side into an outlet, and then plug the other end into the appliance you want to run. It works like a charm! If I wanted to, I could plug in my desk lamp and walk 4 houses down, knock on the door, and be like, "Hey, look, my desk lamp still works at your house!" There's so many advantages to owning this technological wonder. Buy now!

Excellent extension cord
Tuff sheath, sealed ends, heavy gauge conductors support high amp power tools. The receptical end has an LED indicator that illuminates when the cord is powered. Maintained flexibility in moderately cold environments, well sealed for moist damp areas (use a ground fault!) this is a quality extension cord for those using higher amperage tools and equipment you wont find a better one anywhere.

Professional grade
I have bought 3 of these.Excellent for running power tools.The lighted cord comes in handy since usually at clean/finish up time it is dark.Only down side is that it is heavy.However that is to be expected with this quality.Also too thick and rigid to tangle, big plus.Stain resistent.

Great Jumper cables from a name you can trust...
I had one pair of these cables that I keep in the trunk of my car, and nowI am getting a second pair for my second car. Solid construction, nicethick guage. Clamps are very secure and the no tangle feature is amazing.The fact that it is also secure on side post batteries is a major plus.This is a must have for the trunk of your car, however I recommend goingwith the longer cables. It's also a nice feature that they stay flexible to-94F for those of you in colder states/areas. Holds up to outdoor use in Winter
I use these cables (100' and 25')for outdoor work: pressure washer, electric saws, and electric snow blower.They are tough and stay flexible in cold weather.What more could you ask?

Great Heavy Duty Cord
This cord is a must for heavy duty, high amp, power tool users. I bought this cord to go with my new PorterCable 15 amp saw because of its #12 gauge size. I wanted a cord that would ensure a proper power supply and low voltage drop to protect my tools from burnout. It certainly is handy and rugged to boot. The bright yellow exterior stands up to rough use and is easy to see on jobsites. I like the lighted plug end; it lets you know when the wire is hot and can be seen in the dark. Thanks, Amazon !

Buy it, Use it
I've purchased two of these.

I'm a small contractor who does many non-structural remodeling jobs.I've been in construction for 15 years and have used many tools and many extension cords.

Since 12 guage cords are commonly available that is primarily what I've used in the past.My experience has been that most of my higher power tools do not run as well on them (even 25 foot cords) as they do when plugged directly into the wall.With the 10 guage cord I can no longer tell the difference.

My 15 amp chop saw, my worm drive saw and my 8 1/2 inch sliding miter saw all run perfectly with the 50 foot extension.I am even able to run my 1 1/2 horsepower Emglo compressor through a 25 foot length. I was never able to do this before -- the compressor was very fussy and I had never been able to use any kind of extension cord with it until I moved to 10 guage. ... Read more

Is cable really up to WI winters?
I find the male and female end connectors extremely stiff at room temperature and doubt that they will be any better than the stack of other brand cords whose ends failed in the -20° to -30° temperatures we have here.
