2-0 out of 5 stars 43-188 sled
The sled is great but the holdowns are the problem, as they dont release fully and if you adjust they dont hold enough!!!! I went to tigthen one down ad the aluminumm frame broke!!! too bAD fro a poorly designed clamps. I think China has influxed into Delta and ruined what was our best line of tools. (sigh)

5-0 out of 5 stars Essential
This was one tough item to get.Nobody had it in stock, possibly becuase they can't make them fast enough. When I finally got it, I needed to diassemble it to clean all the packing oil off of it, then I cleaned it with my table saw top conditioner to stop it from rusting. After reasembling it and checking it for square and put it to use,It is completely beyond me why this tool is not shipped with ALL shapers!I agree that I would have bought another manufactures before Delta, but not because of quality (I am a Powermatic fan). There is no safer way to shape small objects then this jig!If you are new to the world of woodworking and have a shaper, it should be without question that you need this jig!Not just so you will be able to count to ten in the morning but because quality and speed are also dramatically increased! It is a shame I can't give it 6 stars.

4-0 out of 5 stars Here is an option
I saw Norm Abrams use this jig on TV. The New Yankee workshop on their web site refer you to Eagle America, which at the time of this posting has it for half again as much money as here at Amazon. Shopping mania steps in, only momentarily, thanks to Amazon reviews, you realize this is not a high-end piece of gear. I guess cheaply made is the word I am looking for.
Ok so here is the problem, how do you do coping cuts in the end of a rail, and not have the piece walk away from the bit? (The bit tends to push the piece away from the fence line.) A sled seems like a great idea, that way the piece is not sliding across a surface, but rather riding on top of the sled.
The problem in using this for routing is that it raises the work piece 3/8", and that forces you to adjust the bit in your router 3/8 inch out of the collar, to make up for the thickness of the sled. With shapers and their increased capacity for higher cuts it isn't much of a problem, but for routing, that is a major limitation. Net result is less safety, and more vibration.
So that takes me to what I really want to tell you about, and that is the Delta 34-928 Deluxe Miter Gauge, and the 34-568 Miter Gauge Clamp. The clamping presses down on the rail that fits in your miter slot, and the work slides along the table surface. That gives you the deepest setting for your bit. Additionally, if you needed to make a pass using the same bit on a piece that you didn't want to put in the sled, you wouldn't have to change settings.
Delta offers this miter gauge and clamping kit with their cheesy miter gauge. What is interesting, and not explained, (I had to do some digging) is that the top of the line, deluxe gauge 34-928 works with the 34-568 clamp as well. That way you are getting the best miter gauge, with stops at all of the popular settings, and according to Delta guaranteed accuracy. The real bonus is that if you buy the two pieces separately, it is cheaper, even with the Deluxe, than it is to buy the cheesy one in the combo kit. (Prices always change, so check it out to see what is current.)
I have to be honest with you, I ordered the gauge, and clamp over 8 weeks ago, and still have not received them. I keep updating the order because I still want it. Even though it has been stating that it "usually" ships within 24 hours. What will happen is that 10,000 of them will arrive by ship, then their will be a glut. At least I will get a fresh one. :-)
I will update this review once I get my hands on it. From what I see from the clamp kit review, it does a good job. I'm not complaining about Amazon, I think their service is tops, just thought I would shed some light on the subject. Hope this helps.

5-0 out of 5 stars A guard I will actually use
For too long now I've been operating my saw without a guard (yes, stupid). I removed it once to cut dadoes and never replaced it. I finally bought the uniguard and I never have to remove it-even when cutting dadoes.

The guard is everything you expect from Delta: beefy, well engineered, and everything fits as it is supposed to. I was able to fit the guard on my Contractors saw with a 30" extension table without having to cut the support arm (the instructions suggest cutting it as an option). There is no need to do so if you have the room behind the saw. The support arm is fairly heavy-awkward but you can easily set it up by yourself. Tip: Before sliding the arm through the clamps (3 of them), make sure they are in line. The one clamp attached to the extension table can be adjusted, the others are attached to the saw table and will not need adjustment. An easy way to do this is to push a broom handle or similar item through the 3 clamps and sight down the handle.

The instructions are fine, although more than once I wished for a close up photo and that the photos were better lit, but I managed.

Finally: It does what it is supposed to do - the guard covers the blade at all heights and angles, and moves up easily when passing the material to the blade.

Well worth the investment, ensuring I'll be able to count to ten for years to come.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Safety Feature
Purchased this blade guard for my contractors saw after reading a table saw book that opened my eyes to the dangers of the table saw. This is the blade guard that should be included with the saw.The splitter is removable for dado operations, but the fact that the blade guard is on a separate arm means that I can use the blade guard even with the splitter removed. If you use a table saw, I highly recommend purchasing this (or another) blade guard as it almost completely eliminates the danger of losing a finger while using the saw.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Value- But read the warning below
The Deluxe Uniguard is a good value at $270 - and I took advantage of Amazon's $25 off sale so my final cost was $245. Such a deal!
Now the details:
The UPS people did their usual guerilla routine with the package. So even though Delta packs this guard very well using both wood and cardboard, UPS still destroyed it.On delivery day when I answered the doorbell, I found the 6 foot tall package at my door - one end crushed and wide open and the UPS driver already back in his truck and driving away.
Upon inspection I found that the plastic accessory tray was cracked and that the splitter assembly was nowhere to be found. It's probably on a UPS loading dock somewhere.
I called Delta immediately and to my suprise, a human answered the phone! No waiting, no music on hold and no message telling me how important my call was to them. They took my information and they agreed to send out replacement parts.Satisfied that I wouldn't need to return the rest of the unit, I decided to go ahead and install it.
It was pretty straight forward and the instructions were clear.Just a couple of things I should mention. The clear plastic blade shields slip over a steel pin and are held by allen head set screws. It seemed that they required a tiny allen wrench. I mean really really tiny.Smaller than any I had ever seen before.I am embarassed to admit that I puzzled over this for a full 15 minutes before I figured out that the set screws had been installed backwards at the factory - on BOTH guard shields.Simple matter to unscrew them and put them in right. Sheesh!
Also, the instructions suggest cutting 12 inches off both the top and the bottom of the main "J" shaped steel tube if your fence is less than 52 inches (mine is).Based on suggestions I read here on Amazon reviews I waited to cut mine and I'm glad.In the end, I cut just 9 inches off mine for a perfect fit.
And last, my shop-built right extension table has a double thickness top (one and a half inches thick). This guard attaches to the saw at three points. Two are pre-drilled and tapped holes on the rear of the cast iron top of the unisaw. The third mount attaches with an "L" bracket to the underside of the extension table way out at the corner farthest from the saw. With my thicker table, the third mount was 3/4" lower than the other two.Fortunately, there was enough room on the mount to redrill it.Had my table been any thicker, I would have had to get more creative.
The final installed guard is solid.I don't plan to relocate my table saw's ON/OFF switch to the supplied switch bracket but I installed the bracket anyway.I have found that it's the perfect spot to attach one of those magnetic base task lights.Delta sells a light made just for the uniguard but the mounting holes for it are out on the detachable part of the uniguard. This would put it closer to the blade for brighter light but would also require you to deal with the electrical cord when you remove the guard for raised panel cuts.

***** WARNING - WARNING - WARNING *****

I'm editing my review to warn everyone that the Uniguard will prevent you from fully opening your motor cover. If you have a right tilt unisaw with the metal box-shaped motor cover you'll find that it can't swing open more than about 6 inches before it hits the uniguard's steel pipe.It opens far enough to get a vacuum hose in for cleaning or for one arm to reach in to feel around for that arbor nut you dropped inside ;) but it won't open all the way after you install this guard.
I called Delta and they saidthat's "normal" and they suggested that I leave the cover off or unscrew the hinge each time I want to get full access.Seems to me that Delta should let us know these things before we buy. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars I am not happy
I received my first Design Tech Driveway Monitor the first of June.It only worked for one day.I called Design Tech and they were very helpful and sent a new unit to me.It took a while for the new unit to arive. It worked great for about 3 weeks. Now it has also quit.I am waiting on a response from Design Tech now.I would look for something else.

1-0 out of 5 stars It works for about a year
This thing worked flawlessly for about a year.In the beginning, the only thing I didn't like was the sound of the chime (had I written this review then, I would have given it 4 or 5 stars). It would be nice if you could change the chime to a more-plesant doorbell-like tone rather than a warning-like tone. However, the functionality was so good we bought another one for my mother-in-law.After about a year, ours stopped working consistently. It would miss about every third car.I tried moving it, I tried increasing the sensitivity jumper, I replaced the batteries and nothing worked.I was convinced of some kind of "user-error" until my mother-in-law's started to become inconsistent as well. Now hers doesn't even work at all.Ours still misses quite a few cars but it does work on occation.

I'm currently looking for a replacement.

4-0 out of 5 stars It works well enough
For the price it can't be beat. This unit works as advertised but don't expect more than about 250 foot of range.Keeping the unit on the default detection range I get about 1 year out of the batteries.Just remember to change them in the fall so the batteries are fresh going into the winter months.I had no problems keeping water out of the unit.Anyone who experiences moisture problems can probably put a piece of duct tape over the seam between the two halves.Overall, a good product for the price.P.S.I vaguely remember reading somewhere that a repeater was available to extend the range. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Unacceptable
I bought the similar model, I believe it was the GR-275. I ended up taking it back. Some reasons: Both wheels ran out diametrically, a lot, causing very bad vibration. After dressing both wheels the vibration was still bad. Upon checking I found both wheels were running out side-to-side, the white wheel very badly (about 0.060" runout). I tried dismounting them and checking for problems with burrs or debris but could find none. The included wheel dresser gouged the SOFT aluminum tool rests when I dressed the wheels. I agree with another reviewer that the angled v-cut in the left-hand tool rest is more of a hindrance than a help. The wheel nut on one side was hard to get off. I found the threads in the nut had a large burr which had almost galled the shaft threads. I didn't have a left-hand tap to run in and clean up the threads, and by that time I was tired of messing with it.
Overall, the motor unit and base was heavy and solid. The variable speed feature is decent. The tool rests seemed fairly solid, and except for he problems mentioned above were usable. The other components were cheap and flimsy. The spark guards would hit the guard attachment lock knobs when adjusted down to compensate for wheel wear.

1-0 out of 5 stars cast pot metal under powerd ...
one of the tool rets one mine broke wile gentel use I was suprisd because I thought it would be steel or cast iron wich i could fix by weldimng it but no it was pot metal which is almost imposible to repair.Ten seconds after I turned it on the spare stopers on top losend and started to grind away the spark shileds got dirty and started to shake about and get in the way.so needless to say I took them off and threw them out. them moter spins to fast to grind cuting tools for it burns the temper and is good for nothing but light slow deburing. The moter is pathetic It takes for ever to grind a lawn moer blaed espsily if you have a tractor with two blades like on a tractor mower.if you even have a slight nick in the blade it takes five pluss minuts longer at least.then by trhe timne you are about done shrping your two blades the mote housing is very very warmfor it dose not have sufficent cooling. also to use it it needs to be bolted to heavy and sturdy base or else it will tilt back and flip over if you use any presure.also it takes forever to grind any thing.buy a real grinder like a 1725 rpm grinder for wood wqorking tools or an angel grinder for lawn mower blades and outhe stuff.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value
Quality construction.Tool rests are solid cast(not flimsy stamped like a lot of other grinders in this price range).Angled channel in right tool rest is great for sharpening drill bits.Super quiet - almost too quiet (can hardly tell that it's running). For the price (39.99 at Lowes), it has an attached flexible lamp!!Sturdy plastic spark deflectors are easily adjusted and are very transparent, so you can still see what you are doing. The only thing missing is variable speed control (how often would you find that feature useful?). ... Editorial Review

If your workshop doesn't have one of these combination sanders, it's probably because you don't think you need it. But put it to work once, and you'll realize you can't get along without it. Its uses are endless. You know those tight curves and angles you have to sand by hand? Not anymore, thanks to this Shopmaster sander. The automatic belt-tensioning and tracking controls are conveniently located and easy to use, and the built-in power takeoff for a flexible shaft accessory (sold separately) is a great extra touch that allows you to accomplish any number of additional tasks. Finishing curves or odd-shaped work is a cinch when you remove the belt platen, and you'll even be sanding chamfers and bevels just by tilting the sturdy aluminum tables on both the belt and the handy 5-inch disc sanders. The included miter gauge allows you to sand at compound angles, too. The side panel removes in a blink to change belts. The 1-inch belt sands 3,150 surface feet per minute powered by a 1/4-horsepower induction motor. A built-in dust port allows connection to your dust management system. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Delta can do better.
For the price of this tool I expected it to be a little more finished looking, instead of a import tool with the Delta name pasted on it. Does it work, yes. However, as I found out too late, I could have ordered a 1" belt sander from Grizzly without the 5" disk for $49.00 and would have had an import tool that was green and worked, for $40.00 less.

4-0 out of 5 stars nice tool but messy
The fine tool comes equiped with two exhaust ports that "should" connect to a shop vac, but in Delta's wisdom, these ports do not match any standard Vacuum size hose and there is no adapter Accessory to allow you to do so. Silly way to design a tool that makes a mess but it does work fine as a sander.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little sander
I really like this sander. I am a hobbyist knife maker and use it for handle shaping. It is perfect. The only thing I might change on it is the disk, could be bigger. It fits neatly in the conrer of my work bench and is light enough to move around as needed. Replacment belts and disks are easily obtained from woodworking stores. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars These are reliably good!
I installed these blades as replacements on my Delta 22-540 planer and was very pleased with how sharp they were and how easy it was to install them.Once installed these knives have done a great job for me on red oak, q/s white oak, pine, and poplar.

I have owned this planer for years now and I find that these double edged knives are a great value.By flipping them over when they get dull they last me a long time.

4-0 out of 5 stars Blades seem ok
I used one side of the blades to plane pine wood. The boards were 4 in.wide, about 1/2 inch thick and approx. 6 ft long.I planes them down toabout 3/8 in.I did about 8 pieces.Allwent well but one board had manyknots in it and it chipped the blade.Seems great for wood with few knotsin it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Why did it take me so long
This is by far one of the best investments I have made in my shop. It transformed my old Sears 10" tablesaw. It is so easy to use. I had purchased the upgraded guide from Sears, but it only improved the saw, but I was still not happy. I would have bought a new unisaw, but my father had bought me this saw before he died, and I didn't want to part with it. So I felt my only option was to improve it. I'm glad I did, I saved a lot of money, and got the capability I needed. I highly recommend this accessory.

5-0 out of 5 stars A safe, welcomed addition to my work shop
I was in need of a fence that would remain parallel to the saw blade. I have now met that need with the Delta 52" Unifence. It rides smoothly along the table, locks firmly into position, and remains parallel to the saw blade in all applications.

I am pleased with the ease in mounting the Unifence to my Delta 34-670 table saw. The Instruction Manual was precise and extremely helpful. All in all, this is a real winner! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for home remodeling
I use this air cleaner when remodeling homes because of its portability. I set the unit on the floor so that it is blowing outside through a door, or sometimes on sawhorses and out a window. Great for clearing the air, including paint fumes. This unit DOES NOT have to be mounted 7ft off of the floor as the other reviewer noted. It is designed to be used on the floor, on a workbench, or hanging from the ceiling. When hanging from the ceiling it MUST be at least 7ft off the floor so that someone doesn't hit their head on it. But, if you are planning to mount an air cleaner to the ceiling, get a larger air cleaner, such as the AP200, which sells for ten dollars more than the AP100, but will filter down to 1 micron vs. 5 micron and also has a higher CFM rating. Another great Delta product.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you sand a lot, this'll clear the air
I received my unit VERY quickly from Amazon.com.As an artist, I work a great deal with foam & wood.I noticed when the sun rays shown in one day that my air was FILLED with dust particles. So, I splurged and bought this nifty unit for my studio. It has an industrial quality about it and makes a moderate humming noise, but nothing too distracting. One thing I didn't realize is that the unit MUST be kept at least 7 feet off of the floor.I plan to mount it to a ceiling beam in due time.I have other Delta products as well. You can't go wrong with this company. ... Home Depothad them for $26.95. I bought all they had.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good value..
I've had my Delta planer for quite awhile now. In its lifetime it has had hundreds of board feet of hard and soft wood passed thru its portels. Much of this wood has been some of the hardest stuff on the planet. Mesquite, Quebracho, Vera, Mistol and white Oak just to name a few. I am on the first edge of my second set of knives. As in all planers, knife adjustment is critical, and with these knives it is as simple as tying your shoelace. Knives are sharp enough to shave with out of the pkg, and the locater holes make alignment a snap. Getting four cutting edges for this price makes the whole package a five star unit. I've had my problems with some Delta products, but this isn't one of them.Love the planer and love these knives. Highly recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Blades Last a Long time and are EASY to Install
I have been running the same set of blades in my Delta 22-560 Planer for over a year. I use them to plane quarter-sawn white oak and have done about 1500 board feet. The blades are still sharp. I have not yet felt a need toflip them. I did remove them once to see how hard it would be. The locatorholes in the blades made it EASY. The tight tolerence between the holes andthe locator pins insured a minimal (less than .002")runout. The onlypossible problem is that the two blades MUST be ground exactly the same, there is no method to fine tune the alignment. This is not really a bigproblem for most sharpening services. The price is quite good, I wouldcall them a good value. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Carbide-tipped for longer life, Delta's 8-inch dado head stack fits snugly together to groove impressively smooth square-bottomed slots. The five inside chipper blades allow you the option of cutting dadoes up to 13/16 of an inch wide and as thin as 1/8 of an inch. The blades feature safety shoulders that help control overcutting, thus lessening the chance of kickback, a frequent hazard due to this type of cut's large surface area contact. All dado sets have some antikickback feature; Delta's performs as well as any of them. --Justin Paul ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't Beat the price
Stackable dadoes are the way to go. I get a precision cut. When performing repetitive cuts, setup and cutting time is so much less when using a stackable dadoe vs. a router bit. I've used it to create many drawers and is excellent and convenient for rabbiting work and haven't had a problem.

4-0 out of 5 stars good dado for the money
i've had this dado set for over a year.i read all the other reviews, boy do some poeple knock it.the first few cuts i made were terrible too. but what i decided to do was buy a real shim kit & throw away that cardboard junk that came with it.shim kits are cheap.since then all the dado's are great.hard wood, soft wood, laminates, ect.also use your head & align the cutters equaly in the gullets of the outer blades,if they are not equally aligned around the blade & the 2 outer blades are not ligned up to each other, you will also have a poor cut.if i had the money to buy the freud super dado i probably would have, but after using this set why bother!!it is just fine.it has produced some beautiful stained cabinets out of oak & cherry.so save your money & get this set!! just remember to toss the cardboard shims!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Get the Freud instead
I bought this blade a little over a year ago and it's one of the biggest wastes of money that I've ever seen.Cuts through solid wood are only fair but the cuts through plywood leave a lot of tear out and the bottom is uneven and very rough. If you look closely at the picture you will see that there is a small plate attached to the inside of both the outter blades.I though these were a machined on integral part of the blade.NOT!!They are simply glued on as I discovered when one fell off.The quality of construction on this dado is way below par.Spend the extra money and get a Freud or Forrest(if you really have the extra dough). You will not regret it as I now do. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not a good fit for my band saw
I bought the Delta 28-206 14" enclosed base band saw, and the Platinum accessory package which included the 50-274 mobile base. There were instructions on how to assemble the base, but not on how to attach it to my band saw.It looked like it was supposed to replace the 4" thick base that came with the saw, but it didn't fit.It was about a 1/4" to narrow for the band saw base to fit in it.I solved it by putting the regular base back on, and drilling holes in it to bolt the mobile base to the standard base. With 8 bolts holding it in place it is solid enough, but its about 4 inches higher than normal.Since I'm a tall guy its not a problem for me. The mobile base is still a great idea though.I have a standard 2 car garage for a shop, so the ability to move my stuff around is really important. This base works like a dream.I'd recommend it, just be aware you may have to do a few modifications to mount your equipment.

1-0 out of 5 stars This mobile base does NOT FIT the new Delta 14" 28-206 BSaw
It's a great and well made base but unfortunately it does not fit (despite its description of "fits all Delta 14" bandsaws) the new Delta 28-206 bandsaw. You could make it work by bolting a square of plywood to the mobile base then attaching the saw to that. Kind of a pain.

5-0 out of 5 stars Protecting your valuable woodworking machinery
A couple of years ago, I experienced a water line leaking above my Unisaw.By the time I discovered the leak, the cast iron table top and extension had started to rust. I immediately got a Delta Mobile Base to move the saw. I have been so pleased with the setup that I decided to purchase a mobilebase for the 14" band saw.My bandsaw is an older model without theblack metal casing at the bottom of the enclosed stand.Despite thesmaller dimensions of my bandsaw at the bottom, the fit in the mobile baseis good, although I may add some 1" lumber (thickness) around thebottom perimiter of the stand to create a tighter fit.The foot lever forelavating the base is easy to operate and when engaged, the base easilyrolls on two wide wheels. When stationary, the base is very stable.Whether you need a mobile base due to limited shop space or as a means forprotecting your equipment from overhead water lines, I strongly recommendthis base - even for older Rockwell/Delta woodworking equipment. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Fence Great Price
I have always loved the Biesemeyer fence systems and I just put this fence on an old Craftsman table saw and it works great.Easy to set and rock solid.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sweet...
Encorporating a router table with my installation doubled the install time, but it was well worth it. I had no trouble with the install directions, and I now have a fence that is rock-solid and repeatable. Adding the FREE shipping along with a $25 off special, I got a great deal. ... Read more

Editorial Review

The Shopmaster DP400 is a home woodworker's dream--it has all the details of a professional-grade drill press without the cost. The chuck-to-table depth of 27 inches will be the envy of your neighborhood, allowing you to drill into the longest work pieces. You'll get to the center of a 16-1/2-inch board with no trouble at all, and a generous 3-3/8-inch stroke means you won't have to keep readjusting the table. Even when you do, it's a breeze with Delta's smooth rack-and-pinion mechanism. The table measures 12 inches square and tilts for angled drilling. No matter what you're drilling into, one of the 12 speeds--from 250 to 3,000 rpm--will be right for your material. Have some repetitive drilling to do? The adjustable-position locking depth stop will take the trouble out of the job. You're open to a broad range of bits with this machine, as its chuck will accept bits up to 5/8 inch. The built-in gooseneck lamp lets you position this drill press anywhere in your shop, and you'll always have great task lighting. When you're done drilling, just pop out the removable safety switch to prevent unauthorized use. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars powerful and large but vibrates a lot
Overall I'm impressed with the performance of this drill.

However the belts on the top seem to vibrate a lot, I guess its because they used cast pulleys instead of machined. This is running at the max RPM which I typically do for my type of drilling.

I was hoping this would go away after the break in period but I have used the drill for about 10 months now and still it vibrates a lot. Finally I purchased a powertwist belt which makes this bearable but still not as well as I would expect.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good drill press
I've had this drill press for about a week now, so this is a fairly brief review. I bought this particular version from a local large home supply establishment. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

I carried it home in a VW New Beetle, so it's a manageable package. It came well packed in a sturdy cardboard box lined with foam. I and took it downstairs in pieces, since the whole box is near 180 pounds. It assembled quickly. There are really only 4 parts; the base, the support post, the table, and the motor and belt head. The hardest part was cleaning off the packing grease -- I used kerosene -- and then waxing all the bare metal parts with paste wax.

I measured the runout with my admittedly less than high quality dial indicator and a spare mill bit in the chuck and came out with around .0018" I haven't done any real heavy cleaning of the chuck assembly so there could be some grit or packing gunk inside.

Speed changes are easy by moving a small lever and loosening a thumbscrew. The only thing I'm less than completely happy with is the table assembly. It uses a rack and pinion to raise and lower the table. The rack is held against the post by just a ring up top and it fits into the base at the bottom. There is no support along the length of the rack so there ends up being quite a bit of play in the middle of rack where it sags out away from the post. As a warning to overly harsh treatment, the rack on the display model at the store was severly bent. Also to angle the table, you have to get under it and pull a pin. I haven't tried that yet, but it could have been made easier.

I did try angling the table last night. To me it's a pain, but I don't know how common this method is. You have to remove the pin, which comes out with the use of a wrench, and then loosen a big bolt that holds the table. The bolt is hard to get to being between a couple of reinforcement webs and is large. I think it's a metric just smaller than 15/16". I used a 15/16" socket and it was a little loose, while 7/8" was too small and I don't have a 31/32" wrench to try and my metrics only go up to 17mm. I did see a quick release bolt in another catalog for drill presses that might work. ... Read more
