I ordered the Delta 37-365X Jointer and a set of knives for back up. When the knives arived, they were not in a Delta box and Delta's name/part number was not printed on the knives. Nearly as good as advertised
I purchased this remote starter and installed it myself on my Subaru Forester (automatic transmission).Installation ranged from easy to moderately difficult based on the particular feature I was installing.Installing the remote starter portion was easy and can be done in less than an hour - just find out which wires your ignition system uses and connect and then also find the tachometer wire to your gages and connect.When it came time to install the other features such as the door lock/unlock feature, parking light connection, and horn (I used the car horn in place of the optional siren), installation was more difficult.Because the remote starter can handle a variety of door locking mechanisms, you have to determine which type your vehicle uses and then determine the location of the applicable wires; this can be done using Design Tech's website.Hooking up the horn and lights became much more difficult - I had to use relays to have the remote starter's output connect the horn's wiring and light's wiring to ground after searching for a good place to tap into their wiring; this method was explained in the instructions well enough to follow.If your vehicle has a trunk, it may also require hooking up a relay depending on the model.I also used the two auxiliary outputs to hook up to the climate control system so that I can also activate the climate control's air conditioning and rear window defroster if I desire.

Once everything was hooked up, the system functions superbly.I haven't quite determined the range yet, but it seems to be a good distance.Once started, the car runs up to 25 minutes (user selectable) and will periodically (approximately every 5 or 10 seconds) flash the lights to indicate that the vehicle is running.The car doors will also automatically lock (read below about opening a door)

One item that is not as advertised, though, is there is no "quickstop" feature.You can stop the car and restart the car using the remote or you can fumble with the remote and activate a feature called "Turbo Timer" that keeps your car running (for up to 20 minutes) after every stop until you deactivate the feature; the feature takes about 10 seconds to change on the remote and then an additional 10+ seconds to transmit from the remote to the remote starter device in the car.

Whether the car is running because of the remote start or the Turbo Timer, pressing the brake pedal, opening the car hood, or even opening the car door without unlocking the door via the remote starter's transmitter will cause the car's engine to turn off.You can put your key into the ignition and turn the key to "run" and then the car will continue running after pressing the brake.

The transmitter will also warn you if you leave your lights on.

The remote starter can also be configured to start your vehicle at a preset time of day [the transmitter actually starts the car at a user selected preset time] and started every 2 to 12 hours automatically (to keep the engine warm in extremely cold weather).You can also have the remote starter lock all car doors automatically at 2000 engine RPM and unlock upon turning off the car.You can also selectively turn off the horn/siren.

After some (unknown) period of time, the transmitter will not indicate a signal strength to the car.There is not a method to check for connectivity without causing the car to respond somehow - the least intrusive is the "car finder" feature that flashes the lights and sounds the horn three times.The good part about the two-way feature, though, is that if you are too far away your transmitter will let you know so you'll never think you started your car when in fact you didn't.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the remote transmitter is decently small.It's approximately the size of my car's original keyless entry device except it's slightly longer and is about 1 1/2 times as thick.In addition, it has an antenna that's just over half the length of a "AAA" type battery.(Actual dimensions are about 2.25 inches tall, 1.5 inches wide, 0.5 inches thick with an antenna that adds another inch).It weighs slightly more than my original keyless entry device as well but only about another key's worth.It can be attached to your keychain or worn like a cell phone using the included pouch and belt attachment device.The transmitter will also show the length of time the vehicle has been parked or has been running.

All in all I'm fairly happy with the product and its features.I just wish installation were a bit easier.The device is intended for use on both automatic and manual transmission vehicles but use on manual transmission vehicles requires not keeping your car in gear, so I wouldn't recommend using this in hilly areas with manual transmission vehicles.

Not Good
I purchase the quickset. I was hope to save time when working on my projects. For some reason it will let go of the blade . That is not the bad part. There are two little spring on the blade chuck.When it let go they go flying ,good luck finding them. I would think twice before you buy this item.The time you save on working on your project is used up looking for the springs. I wish they would come up with some other design.

FANTASTIC SYSTEM
This system is a breeze. Easy to adjust the thumb type screw for different size blade thickness. Then just clamp it shut. How easy is that? This idea works well and is so simple a monkey could do it.This model once you have adjusted it for your blade thickness, just close the jaws with the lever and your all set to go. With the power of this clamp and so much adjustability blade's slipping are a thing of the past. Why delta only puts this quality clamp on the top arm I dont know.They DO however offer it both top and bottom on the spendier models.Maybe delta will offer it as an after market item someday who knows? Great saw but mail order is risky.
If you plan to buy the saw from Amazon, the saw will be delivered by a trucking company because its too heavy for UPS.You'll either need to get help to unload the saw from the truck or open the box in the truck and unload part by part.

The rip fence and fence guide came slightly damaged and I suspect it was damaged even before it left the factory - the box showed no signs of damage but the items were dented.Because the damage wasnt great enough to be worth the hassle of trying to return a 5-foot long box and then have to wait an unknown time for a replacement, I decided to keep it damaged - it leaves a bad taste though.Delta or Amazon probably knew of the damage and was betting (correctly) that it wouldnt be returned

The saw functions beautifully - its sturdy and all the parts that relate to alignment can be adjusted.Couple of minor complains - I wish the blade tilt wheel would have a positive stop at its maximum tilt - as it is now, the wheel feels like its tightening rather than stopping.I also wish the power cable didnt lead out of the dusty inside of the saw - a hole through the side and a rubber grommet would solve that.

If I had to do this again, I would have bought this in a store instead of by mail order so that its easier to return damage parts.

Great plate for turning.
I have used these plates for turning wood bowls in the past, and I have found nothing that I like better. I successfully turned an 18 inch oak bowl by mounting it onto this base plate. (I have to admit I was surprised at how beautiful it turned out, since it was my second major attempt at turning bowls)

I STRONGLY recommend purchasing this plate if you are planning on doing any serious bowl turning, since if you use a smaller plate the bowl may become detached when you apply pressure with the chisels, leaving you with a waste of time rather than a piece of art.

Save your Money!
This gadget will work fine if you're drilling in something like thin baseboard molding, etc. or other light weight stuff.Any thing heavier than a 2x4 you can forget about decent support.You have to make an allowance on the height of your support to compensate for the swag you are going to get because of the weight.I wish I had bought a floor support stand instead.

I've been using the HTC PM-128 Drill Press Support for a year or so and I think its a great idea.The problem I have with the PM-128 is its lack of rigidity and strength.I've never been able to use it for accurate drilling simply because it bends quite easily, especially when the arms are near full extension.Itsdifficult to get the rollers to be coplanar with the drill press table because the steel tubing twists and racks.I know, you are probably saying: for [the price] what do you expect?I agree, I got what I paid for.I wish HTC (whose mobile bases are top notch!) would come out with a PM-428 or something, costing about [ammount of money] or so, using heavier tubing and a more robust clamping device for the drill press column.Conceptually the PM-128 is well thought out, with plenty of adjustments and a convenient storage tray, it just needs to be beefed up a little. If you purchase the PM-128 be advised that it is not suitable for long >5ft. or heavy pieces of material, in my humble opinion.

Standard General Purpose Blade
This is a good standard general purpose blade that can be used for almost any type of cutting.The 1/2" blade can also be used for light-duty resawing, if you don't want to take the time to change to a 3/4" 3 tooth blade.With 14 tpi, it is suitable for cutting metals.

If this is going to be a repeatitive, high volume use blade, and you want accurate precision cuts, I would recommend either the Timberwolf or Lennox bandsaw blades.They seem to be a few grades better when it comes to high usage and precision.

Overall, this is a good standard use blade to keep in the bandsaw for various type projects that tend to pop up on the weekends. ... Read more

Am I missing something?
I bought this chisel and bit as part of a four piece set and have been happily using it for nearly five years now.I have read in many places that inexpensive chisel and bit sets like this one provide inferior cuts and can dull quickly.That has not been my experience at all.With an accurate setup, I have used this tool to cut perfect mortises in red oak, quartersawn white oak, white pine, and southern yellow pine with no problems whatsoever.Granted, the chisels do get hot during extended use and I am dilligent about letting them cool if they are about to overheat - but I could not be happier with the performance of this set.At this price and with that quality, you cannot go wrong!
