Our shears worked well enough, for a time this summer.They they broke in half.Not very sturdy, I'd say.

Not for Lefthanders
I am left handed and found these shears to be on average as good/bad asthe pair of 10 year old shears I purchased the Friskars to replace.Theywork better if I use my right hand, but I still have to hold the grasstightly with one hand and shear with the other or the grass gets clogged inthe crotch of the two blades.Using my left hand they get clogged moreoften than not. ... Great product!
My husband and I work at property maintenance.I bought one of these last year and I use it all the time, for painting porch floors, baseboards, shoe molding, bottoms of doors, etc., etc.Recently my husband has been borrowing it when he's installing carpet bars, installing/changing electrical outlets, etc.I'm ordering another one just for him, so we don't have to fight over mine anymore!It's easy to scoot it along the floor.You can kneel on it, or sit on it.In the summertime, when you're wearing shorts, it's an absolute must to protect your knees.It's lightweight and easy to toss in the car with the other tools.

great pruners for bushes
I like these a lot -- I bought them last May to cut back our lilac and forsythia bushes which hadn't been pruned in several years. The shears cut easily through both thick and thin stems, you can even cut several thin branches at once. I've since used them on average of once a week to cut and trim back tree branches and saplings as well as roses and other bushes. Fwiw, they do tend to do better on green or growing wood than on dead branches. As another reviewer noted, the foam handle covers can slide off but I glued mine back on and haven't had any problems since. The blades are easy to keep clean and the lock keeps them locked even if you say, toss them on the grass or a chair. Note, these aren't for pruning large tree branches or tough, thick bushes but they're great for basic pruning.

Not The FISKARS You Expect
Not what I expected...FISKARS are supposed to be high quality stainlessmade in Finland. These are ordinary steel, ordinary pruners, made in theUSA for Fiskars. I returned them. Fiskars Garden Shears Model 9637 are thereal thing.But now that these pruners are reduced in price, as long asyou know what you are getting, they aren't a bad buy.

Good for Light Duty Cutting
These work fine on green wood up to 1/2" in diameter, but anything larger needs more leverage.The lock is easy to use and very accessable, making one hand operations a breeze.The best thing about these is thatthey'll fit in your back pocket and stay locked.I also have a ratcheting,anvil style clipper that works much better on slightly larger twigs withmuch less effort. ... The Back Saver
I bought these shears to get at the weeds around the base of my roses.I have over 300 feet of roses where the star thistle, bermuda grass and other weeds love to grow.The Fiskars Gardener's Shears made the work a lot easier and I can get closer to the plants than I can with a weed eater. The rotating blades also make it easy to get into odd places and cut the grass along fences and around rocks.I highly recommend this tool.

Versatile, Well Made Tool
I am very pleased with this cleverly designed tool. It lets me get at plants at a wide variety of levels without a lot of back bending. I can clip weeds (and blackberry vines) without bending over, and I can reach approximately 8 feet high to trim tall shrubs. The blades are very sharp stainless steel and the handles are very lightweight, but appear to be strong. And the adjustable blade angle adds to the versatility.

I have a very large, high and deep(depth is 5 feet)hedge.On one side there is a steep and slanted slope which make the trimming very diffilcult. The use of electric or gas powered shears is unsafe and dangerous. All the hand operated hedge shears I have seen on the market are too short for the task. Serious 'n' Simple forMy Summer Solution
My long, rectangular, unused, cemented driveway is bordered by narrow gardening lanes. Happy camper
This tool is a little pricey but well made.It handles light grass trimming with ease.Great for trimming around trees and rocks.The swivel head is very convienient.All in all I would reccomend it for light to moderate trimming. If you can afford it,go for it.

what a disappointment
I had such high hopes for this edger but have been very disappointed with it.To begin with it's heavy and somewhat bulky making it difficult to operate.Secondly, unless you position the blades at a particular angle, it doesn't cut grass very well.Thirdly, although this would be ideal for someone who wants to develop his/her triceps, it's a pain to operate for any length of time.Even my husband found it tiring and painful to use.It would be better if it had a wheel at the base so you could roll it along while cutting grass.

Such a good idea is just not solid enough
I like the idea behind the tool. It's light enough to work for an hour or better without too much strain. The adjustable angle works well and has enough settings to be practical for a number of uses. UNHAPPY
This 50' sprinkler hose only disperses water for 40' of length, the laser precision holes are spaced far apart (8") and you can not attach another hose to it (has a dead end vs connecter)...

Nice, but poor hole placement
We bought this product because of a long strip of grass along our driveway that doesn't get hit with our sprinklers.Though it fits perfectly in the spot, and is easy to manipulate, the holes in the hose itself are engineered to spray water off to the left and right of the center ONLY - no middle spray.Therefore, we watered the driveway a lot, and watered the hedge a lot, but we totally missed the grass unless we set the water flow very low, meaning we had to run the thing for an hour or two.If Fiskars had put holes pointing in more than just two directions, it would have been a more efficient, less frustrating buy.Points for the use of recycled materials, though. ... My mother left me this, and it's great!
I'm a utilitarian kind of guy. I can handle dirty, torn coveralls. A cracked, scuffed hockey mask doesn't faze me. Heck, even if I get some pokes and scrapes while on the job, that comes with the territory.

But I absolutely demand the sharpest edges possible when I use a knife or an axe. There's no point (ha!) in doing a slicing or hacking job with a dull blade.

That's why I highly recommend the Fiskars 78616984 Axe and Knife Sharpener. With this useful tool, I can sharpen any blade I pick up in minutes, with an exact 30-degree angle (thanks to the patented ceramic wheel). Plus, the pop-up head (excuse me?) makes cleaning a breeze. Cuts heavy leather like butter
I've got a pair I've been using for a year to cut 5-6oz leather.These are great because they easily make a nice, clean cut in my leather, and the handle design really makes cutting heavy material less stressful on my wrist and fingers.And after a year of extremely heavy and frequent use, they're still almost as sharp as the first day I got them.I would rate them a 5 if they find a way to keep the closure latch from catching on stiff material as it is cut, but that is a minor issue.

Handy Tool To Have
Fiskars makes the best tools due to there well thought out design, light weight, durability, easier to find due to brighter color on their products and cost is in line with other compareable tools.Upon opening the pruner I was surprised to discover the handle opening was a bit wide for a females hand and initially thought Oh No, I'll never use these due to being uncomfortable for my (med-lg) hand and thought why didn't they make the female version of this pruner with the handle distance not so wide and it would be a great tool.
