do some research!
I do own this hose, it's fine, holds up well.But I'm writing in response to the cancer references.Please, do some research before you write comments!When I looked on Google:water hose cancer, I found the information I need to know when buying water hoses from any manufacturer.

The warning for this hose is there because of California's Proposition 65. Proposition 65 limits exposure to chemicals that are identified by the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals or elements may be naturally occurring or synthetic.Not all manufacturers are listing this specific warning, but those that sell their products in CA are required to.They all list whether or not the hose is safe to drink from.

ALL non-drinking water safe hoses carry two potential elements that put them into this category:brass (if they have brass fittings) and lead that leaches from the hose into the water.

The following is from an ABC News Report:
"Consumer Reports says the problem is that many hoses are made of polyvinyl chloride, which uses lead as a stabilizer. That lead can leach into the water." "In all, Consumer Reports checked 16 different hoses to see how much lead could leach into the water. Testers cut off two-foot sections, then the hose sections were filled with water and plugged. They went into an oven overnight to simulate a day out in the hot sun, and afterwards, chemists analyzed the water.

Consumer Reports' Jim Nanni says some had very high levels of lead, "In some of the hoses, we measured 10 to 100 times more lead than the government considers safe coming a faucet."

However, the hoses that were labeled safe to drink lived up to their claim, leaching only minuscule amounts of lead.

To be safe, Consumer Reports says before you drink from a hose, let it run for a minute or so. That will flush out any water that could have been contaminated by lead."

There are other reasons to not drink water from a hose as well, unless it is a hose labeled "drinking water safe."This type of hose is sold for the use on boats and campers.

Love this hose!
I have used so many name brand hoses and the Flexogen is by far the most hassle-free and least frustrating hose I've come across. It doesn't kink (this is my number one frustration!), survives wild temperature changes, lasts for years, and winds easily. This is the only hose I use now. I have 8 of them and highly recommend the Flexogen.

Not As Good As It Looks!
I purchased 6 of these hoses with what was supposed to be a lifetime guarantee. After a short time, the end on one of the hoses started leaking so I contacted the manufacture and got a replacement. A year later another hose started leaking and I got another replacement. Then another hose started leaking but the company would no longer honor the warranty! Now Gilmour is selling them. But it's the same hose - "Flexogen". The hose itself it actually quite good if you don't mind replacing the hose ends eventually, I've had to replace every end on every Flexogen hose that I have. ... Great Invention!
This thing is fantastic. no more stopping to pump, just fill and go. Although I have to admit that when full and pulling it accross a two acre lawn it can be pretty heavy. Overall though it works great.

Very satisified.
My sprayer arrived much sooner than I expected and it was a snap to assemble.I ordered it specifically for fertilizing flowers located in beds all over our patio and large lawn.It is easy to fill and mix, and although our yard is not level (we built on a small hill), I had no trouble pulling it around the yard (and I'm no spring chicken).I am really pleased.I plan to use it only for fertilizer (Miracle Grow) and although the manufacturer suggests that you empty and clean it after each use, I'm leaving it "as is" and keeping it in the garage ready to go.I'll rinse it good between refills.

Shape saver
If you have a lawn or garden with odd shapes or even rigid shapes, this sprinkler is wonderful. With the ability to adjust the distance of the water sprayed in a near or 360 degree area you can water the whole area without moving or changing sprinklers. It is a time saver as well as water saver. You can also avoid unwanted watering of sidewalks,decks, etc.

Finally a great sprayer
This sprayer is fantastic compared to the various models from RL Flomaster which did not even last through a season. It's solidly built and super easy to use.It pressurizes without much effort and there is no leaking from the nozzle. This product is made to last but if you ever need a replacement part just call the 800 number and order.I am glad I bought this.

Best I've ever owned.
I've gone through a few sprayers over the years, usually getting whatever was at Home Depot of Ace Hardware.For the price, this is the best one I've owned, BY FAR.Excellent heavy duty construction, metal wand, carrying handle (so you don't use the pump handle), and pressure relieve valve.Excellent workmanship and works like a dreamYou won't be sorry if you get this product.

I ordered this item because it was a gift from my children. I have not used it yet but I sure was surprised to see how low the quality is comparing price. I feel it is highly over priced, when the wand is plastic and it only has a 30" hose on it.
I hope that I am not more dissatisfied after I use it.

Great item
I have tried various soaker hoses and have never been satified with any of them until I tried this one.I live in a windy location and the soaker hoses would squirt up into the air and blow all over.This hose just weeps and is easily to control with a cheap pressure regulator from WalMart.I like being able to bury it or have it above ground.It is also nice and flexiable. Has lead in it
Got the 100 foot version. This hose has a health warning on it. Further research indicates this is due to lead content in the brass fittings.

Don't buy this hose.

Best hose on the market
I don't know a single hose that doesn't have plastic or rubber in it. That somebody has to label the hose under the new rules with a sticker doesn't make any of the other 50000 hoses better that we have all been using for 150 years. I water my garden of flowers and plants for my grandmother to sit and enjoy. I don't recall anybody pulling off a california poppy flower from the ground and eating it. Maybe concrete piping as they use in commercial Agriculture is the best bet for those who are into holistic earth mother stuff?
