Purchased for aFather's Day Gift
I gave this to my husband as a father's day gift from the dog, and my husband has loved it.He says he likes the 2-year warranty, the directions were easy to follow, there was a minimal amount of assembly, and there is a storage tray.He also says that what impressed him was when he took it out of the box and put in oil and gas, it started up on the first try.He says the tires are a tad small but likes the semi-pneumatic tires(whatever that means).He also says the construction of the frame is sturdy and was thought out well when designed.He recommends this as a great first power pressure washer for use around the house.Definitely a great guy toy to give or to buy for yourself...We have the cleanest driveway on the block.

G2400HH by Karcher - may not be new.
I received my first unit with some gas in the tank, some oil all over the inside of the box and a bad feeling that this was someones elses return. The replacement came the same way! I received a nice E Mail that the units are tested before shipping, this may be true, but if so they are also assembling the handles and then taking them apart as well. MIght be OK for a reconditioned unit, but I have yet to receive a new one.

Terrible Product
This is the worst tool I have ever purchased -- Period. Customer service from Karcher is terrible, but at least the authorized service center has been helpful.Should you even be visiting a service center for a product used only twice?

You are led to believe this pressure washer carries a two year warranty; however, the pump is only warrantied for 90 days...and the pump is the sole source of problems you will likely encounter.Bottom line, I think I'll take the Honda engine off and make my son a go-cart with it.

Disaster
The only good thing I have to say is that the unit arrived on the expected date, other than that, it's been terrible, first the top scews in the handle would'nt line up, had to screw in the top screws crooked, then after following all proper procedures for running, the unit just would'nt start, it has no primer button either,figuring it was new, I persisted on, I finally got it to start, then it would'nt stay started, and had no pressure, now the nightmare begins, amazon won't take it back, an oil and gas issue, had to call the manufacturer, was told he could'nt take it back either, they gave me the closest service center, folks, this is'nt a craftsman so be prepared for a drive, fortunately they we're polite and professional and offer to fix or replace the unit, 110 mile round trip into Houston at rush hour, should have bought a Craftsman. ... Wow, what a piece of junk. I bought at BJ's Club and haven't tried to return yet. We'll see if their service is better than (at least this piece) of merchandise....

I threw out my money for 15 minutes of cleaning!
I purchased the karcher 1400psi 1.3 GPM less than a year ago, but didn't open box til my handyman arrived this weekend. he said the product worked fantastic for 15 minutes; then the motor died!!! first time it was used!!! amazon basically said tough luck; i called karcher 800-number, and the message is "the wait time is EXCESSIVE..." so then it tells you to try another time and hangs up on you. I paid $99.99 for mine... and is a piece of junk. i do not recommend buying any electric/electronic product from amazon... they take no responsibility for selling junk; sears or walmart would have exchanged product easily and without question... and i obviously do not recommend karcher brand either. save your money!!!! the worst purchase i have ever made in my life. ... Beware of the picture-missing quick disconnect.
I ordered the spray nozzle, and when it arrived it was missing the stainless-steel quick disconnect.The base of the nozzle is threaded and it had a brass threated insert.Being a Tool Maker, I made a quick disconnect for the nozzle (1.5mm pitch).My unit is 9HP; 3100 psi, and I'm presently waiting for the hose reel I ordered before I try out this nozzle.As shipped, this nozzle would permanently screw onto the end of the wand. Great addition I wished I would have bought right w/product.
When I bought my new Karcher pressure washer, I was not sure if I needed an extension pressure hose. Well, I figured pretty quick when using the pressure washer in real life, that it was not fun at all when washing the sidewalks around the house, that I had to pull an electric extension cord and a regular water hose around the house with the pressure washer. For washing the car only, the standard pressure hose works fine as long as park the pressure washer close to the car. But for serious work around the house, the high pressure extension hose is a must and a great addition worth well the money spent for much less hassle. ... Read more

Karcher 2400HH
Just purchased the 2400hh at Costco. Tried it right away and was very impressed.No problems at start up or during use.I don't use pressure washers very often, but I can tell you that I have used a much more expensive Landa washer with a much higher hp rating and I could not tell much difference in performance.All the complaining about the oil fill is over-rated.I recommend this product, specially at this price point.Maintenance Supervisor in California.

Some Design Problems now Fixed
After using the product for a number of weeks I am generally very satisfied with its performance.It appears that Karcher has addressed a number of the previous gripes.The tip holder now works great and the wand holder is not a problem.Adding oil is not a problem with the right funnel (your generic funnel won't work).I really like the 50' of hose, this feature with the accessories helped guide my decision.Honda engine runs flawlessly and is quieter than other Brigs or Techum engines.I don't know about the repairs available from a karcher service centers, however I was able to find several in my area by using Karchers web site. (In the event I need a repair)I was hesitant after reading the reviews about buying this but now I am glad I did.

Best price excellent machine
I shopped Home Depot and BJ's comparing this washer with the Honda line Home Depot carries. For the price of $299. compared to $420. (Home depot model) you can not beat this machine. I ran it ALL day the first day I had it it works beautiful!! Plenty of power, and constant pressure. Spending another $ 100. for the "Home Depot" model would have been a waste! Good luck ... BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT
I will never buy another Karcher product again,I used the unit 4 times, the pump leaked, brought it to their service center, Got nothing but run around and after 5 months I still don't have a pressure washer.They done nothing ... and DID NOT follow up on what they said they would do.They don't keep records of what's going on.NEVER AGAIN.!

Yes, it works, but watch out!
I, too, was completely satisfied with the efectiveness of this pressure washer(pw). However, during the first usage of my pw, the plastic intake connecting the hose to the compressor broke off without any undo tension on the hose. In fact, there was considerable slack left in the hose. Because I could not find the receipt, Karcher would not replace this equipment. Also, I sent an e-mail asking if they couldn't inspect my pw and determine its age or extent of usage. I got no reply(I did get a reply to an earlier e-mail). So, be careful when using this pw and save that receipt.

Works Well for a GREAT Price!
I just received my Karcher K240MPlus Pressure Washer. The product was well packaged in a factory sealed box and was easy to assemble (WITH ONE EXCEPTION - the dreaded missing screws to attach the handle unit to the washer - more on this later) which consists of snapping the wand to the hose and the hose to the motor unit with a screw on connector. Connect a water hose and plug into an extension cord, turn the power switch to "ON", squeeze the triggerand your up and running! I began using this product on my house siding and eaves which had numerous cobwebs, mud wasp nest attachments and general dirt. After getting the technique down (a slow, sweeping motion concentrating the water pressure on the area to be cleaned, pushing the dirt ahead of the spray) this product did a nice job! Enough pressure to get the job done and not tear up stuff. I also did the clean up without detergent. I suspect this would do even better with a cleaning solution applied!
I washed windows, and my son's redwood and cedar play structure prior to waterproofing. It get's the dirt out easily!
Back to the missing screws - most company's really are hard to get through to for customer service. At Karcher I got through after ( drumroll PLEASE) TWO rings, one button push on the automated system and about ten seconds of waiting!... To a HUMAN!.. I highly recommend the product and the company for that factor alone!
Realize this is NOT a high pressure STEAM unit. It utilizes cold water under pressure. The uses are unlimited around the house. ... Read more
