AMAZING
I had a $50 dollar DeWalt blade and thought that ought to be good enough, it does pretty well.I was wrong, this Frued 30 tooth and 80 tooth full kerf blade is amazing.Not only is it quiet but it slices through anything I can throw at it like a laser and is so smooth, I really don't need to sand it.Worth every penny, I am sold.I am using a 3HP Grizzly Tablesaw and this combination is capable of just about anything....

THE blade for trim.
"Produce Glass-smooth cuts". They are NOT kidding about this one... I use this blade solely for trim. Faces of the cut are like they're sanded with 220, the angles are razor sharp, and there is zero tearout. The sawdust that comes out of the back of the saw is like a fine talcum powder. Very impressive blade! Worth every penny if you're going to be doing fine trim work.

Quite smooth and vibration free..............
This is the closest thing to an all around blade for the table saw.It is the "ONE" to use.Value wise nothing comes close.Rip 3/4 inch plywood - no problem. Cross cut 1" hardwood - no problem.

Put this on the saw and start cutting - it will be a pleasant surprise how quiet it runs.

Great blade for my Radial Arm Saw...

Perfectly does what it advertises
Seldom do I get something that does exactly what the advertising claims.For example, the Forrest Chopmaster was not the be-all and end-all of miter saw blades - certainly did not outperform the Dewalt 80T blade (at half the price) it replaced.But I digress....

This blade makes perfectly chip-free cuts through melamine particle board and birch or maple veneer plywood - exactly as advertised.It doesn't rip through them like the blade I use with hardwoods, but then that blade makes a total mess of melamine in particular.If you are working with laminates or veneer plywood, this will give you a perfectly finished edge on your cut.Who could ask for more?Me - I want a dado stack with these on the outside....

Awesome Blade!
I purchased this blade to cut 3/4" laminated MDF to make shelves.I wanted to use this material so that I didn't have to paint them.I was worried about chipping, so I bought this blade.Both sides of the laminate remained chip free on both rip and crosscuts.The cut lines were extremely smooth.The blade is whisper quiet too.I'm sold!I'm tossing my 40T blade that came with my saw and I'm purchasing the Freud 50T combo blade.

Make an old saw into a new one.
I bought this blade for my 25 year old Dewalt miter saw. I had been seriously considering replacing the saw because it was bogging down quite a bit and didnt seem to produce the nice cuts that it use to. I decided to give this blade a try after having great success with a Freud combo blade on my table saw. I'm glad I did. The thin kerf and anti kickback design has transformed my old saw into a new one. It once again produces the nice miters and smooth cuts that it had for years. What a differance a great blade makes. I really love this old saw because it's all steel, the bed is solid and the adjustment is still precise after all these years. Now with this new blade its rejuvenated. The teflon coated blades are touted as being better than the steel, but for the differance in price I don't think an occasional wood worker can beat this blade. I now own four Freud saw blades including the 6" dadoe set and only have the highest praise for all of them. I'm not wasting my money on any other brand, from now on its Freud all the way. I do wish they made bandsaw blades. Amazon, couldnt find anyone who could beat your price or delivery time. Thanks

A Blade for A Low Horse Saw
I've been using CMT blades for three years, and the one I use most is 40 tooth general blade with 1/8 kerf.It's done great jobs for me so far.But when it comes to cutting heavy stock such as 8/4 red oak or hard maple, my saw 'll definitely come to a halt. And by the way my saw is obviously a portable low horse.So I thought it's time for me to getupgraded.After reviewing bunch of saws and blades, I came across Freud's ads The Utimate Thin Kerf Rip Blade.I was just thinking perhaps I should give it a try.And the result was I didn't have to replace the saw.this blade can really go against anything I feed through.It produces nice and clean cuts as well as vibration reduction. Besides, jointing is unnecessary after the cut. The only reason why I should give this blade four stars is that mine came with a few factory defected carbide teeth.However, I 'd recommend this blade to anyone who own an under powered saw.

This Blade Rips!
I have a Jet contractor-style saw, and the standard Freud rip blade just wasn't getting the job done for me.I didn't realize my expensive saw was considered "underpowered."With a standard rip blade, I kept burning hardwood and throwing breakers.

However, this blade made all the difference.I can rip 2" hardwood stock without bogging down or throwing breakers.Plus, the rip cut is very smooth.Highly recommended.

Hokey smokes!
I have read a lot of reviews about how great such-and-such a blade is compared to some other blade. I figured that while most of what was written was probably true, a good chunk of it was probably the same sort of bunk that you hear from folks who consider themselves audiophiles - all talk and no substance mixed in with a lot of pseudoscience. In other words, Bunk with a capital B.

Well, I needed to get a blade for an old saw I am restoring, so I bought one of the TK906 blades. Everything good you hear about the blade is 100% true!

I am pretty new to woodworking, so still have the blades that came with the tools. I am used to having to wear hearing protection when sawing. I was completely amazed when I did a test cut with the TK906 - instead of a very loud "skeeraach!" sound that I am used to, I heard "bzzzzzzzzzzzzt". The blasted motor and arbor turning on the saw makes more noise than the blade cutting!

Once I inspected the cut that's what really sold me. Granted, 99% of the cut is having the blade aligned properly (and I go for a perfect alignment), but the cut I got was ridiculous - perfectly flat, smooth, no tear out. Close inspection showed very little in the way of teeth marks - they are there, but are miniscule.

I know there are some more expensive blades out on the market, but I can't see how they would be worth the added expense. Maybe they are, but it is awfuly hard to improve on cuts like I am getting.

Good workhorse.
Freud has good products made from good materials.Keep it clean and this blade will work hard for you.

I've used this blade on an underpowered older table saw for a year now, mostly on oak and ash. It is better than any other blade I've tried (and has lasted longer). No noticeable vibration, less stock removal, and good smooth cuts on all types of stock and thicknesses.It even cuts 8/4 unfinished oak stock with little problem.From the above, you can gather that I also use it as an all-purpose blade. Smooth as Silk
I finally wore out the Freud 80-tooth thin kerf blade on my power mitre saw.It took 8 years of general use - including several solid oak floor installations - to do it.Without hesitation, I purchased the Freud TKR806 to replace it. This blade cuts oak as effortlessly as pine, leaving a cut so smooth it shines! Its also very quiet.I have Freud blades on my radial arm and table saw and couldn't be happier with their performance. Decent Blade for crosscutting and plywood
I'd give this a 4.5 if I could.I only rates a 4 for crosscutting.It does a nice job, but nothing outstanding.For sheetgoods, however, it makes extremely nice cuts without any tearout.I've cut baltic birch plywood, MDF, MDO and perfect cuts every time.For these, I'd give it a 5.

Dang that's sweet!
I put this blade on my Craftsman radial arm saw and it completely
changed the way I feel about that saw.Now the thing cuts
like a hot knife through butter.The cross cuts leave end
grain so smooth you'd swear you were feeling a sanded surface
with the grain.Ok, maybe not that smooth, but still, pretty
darn smooth.I haven't tried any other fancy or expensive
blades, but this blade put my old cross cutting blades to
shame.Highly recommended.

Cuts great but...
This blade makes cuts as smooth as glass and does not tend to splinter wood as some other blades do. The only problem is that sometimes it leaves red marks from the tefon on the piece of wood after it is cut. Makes you wonder if it is worth the exta cash. ... Read more

Clean Cutting and Reasonably Priced for a 12" Blade
Using this blade with a Delta TwinLaser miter saw, I have consistently obtained clean, splinter-free cuts.Look at the blade, however.The shot on this site depicts a 72T blade, and the rack at the home improvement store where I purchased mine also had 72T and 80T "Fine Cut Off" blades mixed together.I have the 80T blade.

Sure, it doesn't have a PTFE coating, but wiping down a blade from time to time with a bit of solvent to clean off pitch is no big task.And Freud's carbide tips are beefy and sharp.I don't anticipate any problems, having had good luck in the past with their Diablo 7.25" circular saw blades. ... Incredibly smooth cutting
I installed one of these in a Delta 36-225 (a "bargain" CMS) and have since made hundreds of cuts in oak moulding and stock up to 2"x6". Results have been uniformly superb. Even at extreme bevels, the saw moves easily through the wood, with the cut surfaces glass-smooth. With this blade, I don't see much need for the 80-tooth; cuts are as good as I'll ever need. Likewise, I hardly bother with the 40-tooth, since with the thin kerf this cuts plenty fast through anything I put to it. All in all, this has got to rank as one of the better purchases I have made.

This blade produces a glass smooth surface
I installed this blade on my radial arm saw. I sighted along the blade as it came to a slow stop, to be sure it was mounted true, with no wobble. I had to loosen the nut, turn the blade slightly, and retighten a few times to get it perfect. Without a blade stabilizer, or not bothering to check the trueness of the spin, no blade will perform properly. I never have to do this with the table saw, just the radial arm saw. Once trued up, it cut like butter, and the surface was really like glass.
I also bought the Forrest II blade when I read the reviews in this months Fine Woodworking magazine, they rated it as number one, and Frued was number 2. The top 1 and 2 out of all of the blades, not bad. Fine Woodworking mentioned that their wasn't any tear out. Well I got those same exact results with the Freud. No tear out at all. The magazine rated the Freud as excellent in smooth cut, but only very good in tear outs. My experience is that when ripping 3/4" material, this blade produced a smooth cut without any saw marks. Nice enough to mount as an exposed edge on your project. Of course, a true fence is critical.
With the flawless results I got with the Freud, I am wondering why I paid three times the price for the Forrest. The Forrest Woodworker II is designed for Table Saws. The Freud is advertised on the package as being ideal for Table Saws, Radial Arm saws, and Miter and or Compound Miter Saws. I am keeping the Forrest for the table saw, I have spoken to Forrest owners who love their blade, even a year after using it. They love not having to change the blade for different kinds of cuts, and state it is still sharp after a year. I'm expecting the same kind of results from the Freud. Both of these blades have 5/8" arbors, and are a 1/8" thin kerf. The Forrest has a thinner 3/32" model as well, but some of the reviews indicate some inaccuracy on that model.
I highly recommend buying this Freud blade.

It is hard to find a blade that will cut plywood, and melamine, and do crosscuts, all excellently,and do rip cuts good as well. This one does all of them. To see Freuds blade use recommendations chart, click on the blade picture at the top of the ad.
I installed the Freud on my table saw, and got the same excellent results. So I bought a second one of these Freuds. I like the 60 teeth. Commonly the 50 tooth crosses the line between great ripping and crosscutting. This 60 tooth appears to do the job beautifully, and still give you that extra smoothness that comes with the additional teeth. The Forrest is still covered in the protective rubber dip. Some day, I will break out the Forrest II, I just have a hard time even thinking about taking this Freud off. How can you top perfect? Hope this was helpful.

Works great!
This is my second rip blade - its hard to find places to sharpen blades around here, and it takes a while, so I needed a back up.

I added the Freud blade stabilizers, and was able to rip inch and 3/4 ash with no blade marks whatsoever (on a delta contractors saw with link belt and zero clearance insert). I could feed it as fast as I was comfortable.

I can't imagine what paying an extra $[money] for a Forrest would gain me (not having to change blades, I guess).

Great blade but...
This is an awesome blade as far as cutting performance goes. It is very sharp and cuts very well. The teflon coating really works to alleviate binding and helps it to run cooler. The teeth are nice and beefy for resharpening. The only thing I don't like is that the carbide is either ground too sharp or it's too brittle. I don't really know. What I do know is that I keep finding chips on the teeth when I know for a fact no foriegn material has been passed through. Nails, staples etc. This has happened with several Freud blades in my unisaw. I recommend the Forrest woodworker 2 for ripping. They don't have the teflon coating but they seem to hold up better over the long haul.

This is not a flat tooth blade as listed.
This blade is not a flat tooth design. It is rather an alternating bevel design. One with sharp little peaks on the outer edges in an alternating fashion. The listing currently states that it is a flat tooth design.
It does a decent job, but not as smooth as an older Freud 60 tooth that is no longer available. Of course a 60 tooth will give you a smoother edge than a 40 tooth, but both blades will rip a 3/4" piece of oak on an old Sears 1HP saw without a problem. The Freud TK306 in addition to not being flat toothed, also left a line about every eighth of an inch in the cut face. It was only a couple of thousandths deep, but deep enough to change the cut edge if sanded out. When their are other alternatives out there, I would rather not have to sand and alter my edge. Maybe it was just the one that I received, and others might not have that one protruding tooth, that probably is the cause of the problem.

Great blade, great price
This is not a Forrest blade and you should not expect "glass smooth" edges from every cut.This is a great all-purpose blade at a very reasonable price.

It does very well at both ripping and crosscuts.

The crosscuts I've made show little or no saw tooth marks and no tearout on plywood.

Rip cuts are easy and very smooth.

I'll say it again, this is a great blade at a great price.

Excellent combo blade!
I've been using the chrome version of this blade on my old (ancient) Jet contractor's saw for about 3 years and couldn't be happier.It leaves a super-smooth, glue-ready surface when ripping soft- or hardwood stock, and equally fine surfaces on crosscuts.My saw is tuned properly, I use a link belt to reduce vibration, and for ripping always use a featherboard just in front of the blade to maintain proper position of the stock.

I showed this blade off at a recent woodworker's gathering of about 30 people, and they were definitely impressed.Can't imagine that it'd be possible to get a much better surface than the LU84 provides.On my humble 1.5HP saw, though, I don't use it for ripping really thick stock.Firmly believe a good 24-tooth ripping blade is the way to go there.

LU84R011 blade
I purchased this blade a few weeks ago and put it on my new Hitachi C10FL table saw. I've always had good experience with Freud products and this blade isn't much of an exception. It is a hefty piece of steel and overall well made. The carbide teeth are THICK which will allow many resharpenings. It is a GOOD blade, but NOT "excellent". For general purpose use that will give acceptable results it certainly lives up to its manufacturer ratings for various types of cuts in different material. A few important points to note, however. There is splintering on the end of a cross cut, I suspect this is mostly due to the flat top grind raker tooth as my "low budget" Lowes bought Freud combo blade with all ATB teeth leaves a cleaner cross cut. The Teflon coating seems to be more of a hindrance than a blessing. It is not perfectly flat in all places, and seems to clog the anti vibration slots in the blade body. Also, the coating has worn off where the arbor washers contact it - I carefully sanded the coating away in this area. The blade does not vibrate at all, and I feel stiffeners aren't necessary though they can't hurt I'm sure. Although I am not sorry I bought this blade, I will be purchasing either a Forrest blade or two separate blades - rip and crosscut in order to get the perfect result for each type of cut. My recommendation would be to go with the LU84M011 blade instead - doesn't have the unhelpful Teflon coating and is ten dollars cheaper.

Really impressed
Just received this blade and mounted it in my Ryobi BT3100.
Using it to cut 3/4 solid oak, 3/4 oak veneer plywood, pine, both cross cut and ripping, it's hard to imagine anything better. Quiet, splinter free. Now I want a couple more for my chop saw and a spare. Everything I've purchased from Freud has been a worthwhile investment. And NO this has not been a paid commercial :-). ... Read more

I bought this blade in order to use in my new table saw, based largely on the reviews here, and Freud's reputation.I was not disappointed.while working on a project, I used it in my miter saw, on oak.the cuts were silky smooth, and required almost no finishing.I was so impressed, I have replaced ALL of my blades with Freud and intend to buy nothing else in the future.Try it, You can't go wrong!

Made my day
I bought this blade on the recommendation of my brother who is a professional woodworker. My miter saw is a 25 year old Dewalt, that is feeling it's age. This blade has made an old saw cut like a new one. It makes beautiful cuts on hardwoods, with minimal chip out and it's thin kerf design prevents "stalling". I cut quite a bit of thick material with the saw, and the Freud blade really makes a differance. Not having to spend time "cleaning" up miter cuts really makes my day. I would recommend this blade to anyone who needs a great cutoff blade at a small price.

Decent Blade for crosscutting and plywood
I'd give this a 4.5 if I could.I only rates a 4 for crosscutting.It does a nice job, but nothing outstanding.For sheetgoods, however, it makes extremely nice cuts without any tearout.I've cut baltic birch plywood, MDF, MDO and perfect cuts every time.For these, I'd give it a 5.

Dang that's sweet!
I put this blade on my Craftsman radial arm saw and it completely
changed the way I feel about that saw.Now the thing cuts
like a hot knife through butter.The cross cuts leave end
grain so smooth you'd swear you were feeling a sanded surface
with the grain.Ok, maybe not that smooth, but still, pretty
darn smooth.I haven't tried any other fancy or expensive
blades, but this blade put my old cross cutting blades to
shame.Highly recommended.

Cuts great but...
This blade makes cuts as smooth as glass and does not tend to splinter wood as some other blades do. The only problem is that sometimes it leaves red marks from the tefon on the piece of wood after it is cut. Makes you wonder if it is worth the exta cash. ... Read more

AMAZING
I had a $50 dollar DeWalt blade and thought that ought to be good enough, it does pretty well.I was wrong, this Frued 30 tooth and 80 tooth full kerf blade is amazing.Not only is it quiet but it slices through anything I can throw at it like a laser and is so smooth, I really don't need to sand it.Worth every penny, I am sold.I am using a 3HP Grizzly Tablesaw and this combination is capable of just about anything....

THE blade for trim.
"Produce Glass-smooth cuts". They are NOT kidding about this one... I use this blade solely for trim. Faces of the cut are like they're sanded with 220, the angles are razor sharp, and there is zero tearout. The sawdust that comes out of the back of the saw is like a fine talcum powder. Very impressive blade! Worth every penny if you're going to be doing fine trim work.

Freud's TK206,10', 24 tooth saw blade
An excellent saw blade, especially for benchtop or contractor saws. Its thinner cutting profile reduces the work required by the saw without affecting the quality of the cut. The wood will need to be cleaned up onthe cut edge,(jointer), but this is a small price to pay when ripping thickhardwoods. It is also one of the lower priced saw blades and Freud onlyputs out quality stuff.Freud's teflon coated 24 tooth blade, (TK206R, Ithink, can't find an I.D. on my blade or package), is an even betterchoice, no pitch to clean.
