Suggestion:Provide more information about the Jesoda 600-502 product...for example, are the shanks1/4"3/8"1/2"or combination thereof...are they carbide tip'd, etc.

Worth the extra dough, and then some
I can't say I bought these as a set but it would have saved me some dough if I did. I probably own 35-40 Jesada bits, and as many again from other manufacturers. I've tried many brands - CMT, Whiteside, Amana, MLCS, PC, and even foolishly chucked up a Craftsman bit for a good two minutes before it burned up. Jesada makes a big deal about their carbide and their grinding and sharpening process. I know my first reaction was that this was some kind of fancy sales pitch, but now that it's a few years down the road from that first impression, I'll stand by them and say that Jesada bits really stand up. They come to you sharp as sin and keep the edge longer than anything else I've found. I recently did an enormous blanket chest out of 5/4 Honduran Mahogany (if you've worked with it, you probably know why this is significant) and cut 112 dovetails with a fairly dated bit without having a single one splinter on me. They are admittedly pricey up front, but my experience is that bad tools make bad work, and bad work doesn't make for many return customers. ... Read more

You Too, Can Be A Chamfering Fool!
I really only needed one of these bits, but I bought the set anyway; it comes in a neat fitted solid wood box.I have since played with the bits making wooden planters, by using the various bits to cut perfect angles for multi sided boxes.They leave the surface glass-smooth - just add a biscuit or spline and glue for perfect joints!You can, of course, just use the various angles to chamfer the edges of tables, cabinets and other projects where a flat surface is more aesthetically pleasing than a round-over.

The bits have Jesada's typical superior quality - precision grinds that are literally mirror finished.They even include a spare machine screw and allen wrench for the bearings.Jesada bits are second to none, I have been very pleased with the performance of these and all other Jesada bits I own.You will enjoy finding new uses for these bits as you work on your projects.Have fun! ...
