Rubbermaid Step Stool Tool Box - an essential!
For years I have traveled around the country showing horses. The Rubbermaid Step Stool Tool Box is an essential tool. I have one that holds my braiding supplies and one that holds my clipping supplies. The storage space inside the stool clears away the clutter and organizes all those small tools. And the fact that it's a stool gives short people like me a one-up! At home, I have one for gardening tools and small household tools. It's very convenient to have everything in one easy to carry tool-box, rather than having to carry everything PLUS a stool. I just pick it up and go!

Great for fitness videos and storing weights
I use this stool when I do my Firm exercise videos.It's stable and doesn't tip over, plus it holds pairs of 10 lb, 8 lb, and 5 lb dumbbells as well as two pairs of ankle weights.It's a lot cheaper than other exercise steps.

Doesn't leave anything to be desired.
For a toolbox it's a bit on the big side, if you load it with tools it's going to weigh quite a bit.Well made, seems heavy duty, and it's made in the USA.Gotta love that.The yellow pieces on top open up and provide storage trays for small parts and pieces.The end openings fit an irwin drill bit case and my gloves shoved in behind.As long as the size isn't an issue I think you'll love this box.

The best value in toolboxes
Rubbermaid really seems to have their design and plastics engineering down. They consistantly provide quality products for the workshop and the kitchen. And they outlast other brands. This toolbox is no exception. Simple and to the point, it is very durable and easy to use.

I bought the 20" version and it fits my modest hand hool collection and other misc. small items wonderfully. It is nice that it also comes in other sizes as well. The price is also quite attractive, highly recommended!

Rubbermaid toolboxes are great.
Over the years I've tried several brands of toolbox in my blacksmithing studio. None compare with Rubbermaid. It's just little differences - the balance, the tightness of closure combined with ease of opening. If I put Bullfrog rust inhibiting stickers inside these boxes, it keeps my tools from rusting even in Georgia humidity. I won't buy any other brand any more. ... Read more

can't handle the weight

good and strong
The 26" box is very well made, has great locking latches and is big. It isn't so big that it isn't portable - but it is probably as big as you'd want to carry around with you. It has an internal tray to store your smaller stuff in and a nice comfortable carry handle.

The 36" box is HUGE and is NOT PORTABLE!! This is a box you'd want if you're looking for sturdy, permanent tool storage in your workshop or the back of your pickup.

I wish they made these things in plain black, but that's probably just me :-)

simply great!
when i first got this toolbox i did not think i would make it my main box. becuase a have a 36" snap-on tool box that i keep my nuts and tools and bolts in but i fell in love with this tool box the fist time i put all my nuts in it.Even my friends come over and put their nuts and bolts and wrenchs in it. the only problem i had was when my friend would come over and put his nuts in the box then take them out then put them back in. he would do this all night and it kinda wore my box out.i had to install a camera in the room that my box is in so i know where peoples nuts are at all times and that seemed to fix the problem. ...
