Well Worth the Money
I've been setting wood doors for years, and I can't believe I just now got these great levels.Use the 78" for the hinge jamb and the 30" for the header.Perfect door swing every time.My only complaint is that the magnets aren't placed in the EXACT positions of the hinges.But the magnets are still strong enought to hold on while hammering in the jamb.I would highly recommend spending the money on these quality levels if your reputation depends on quality.

We all know how great Stabila levels are, and we own several.We bought the regular Jamber last year and when we saw this magnetic Jamber we ordered a set.If you are used to the old strip magnets on levels, hang on, these magnets are. . . straight horizontal-crooked vertical
This tool works fine on long rip cuts even though it is not square. It is the vertical cuts, my ripper is 1/8" off in it's 24" length.That adds up to mistakes.Hold tool firmly on edge of drywall or it will ride up on you. Alittle pricey for it's quality.

This Tool is Junk
I wouldn't buy this tool again because it's impossible to cut drywall quickly using it. It doesn't slide alone the edge of the drywall very well. And the tool is only useful for making cuts up to 12 inches. Beyond 12 inches the tool doesn't work very well. Additional, I was expecting the tool to be much lighter. Wheels would have solved some of the problems with the tool but the manufacturer forgot to provide them. Save yourself some time and trouble. Hire a license contractor if you have to and buy a real T-square!

Decent tool
The square could have used some kind of rollers on it to make it easier to slide along the drywalls edge. But it works quite well just the same. The 1/16 in. Graduated Slots make measuring easyand fast. ... Read more

Great Keychain Companion
After owning mine for a couple of months now, I have to say that I'm thoroughly pleased with this multi-tool.I had previously questioned how much use I'd actually get out of it (I've been living the first 22 years of my life without one), but I have to say that I find myself using it at least 2-3 times a week (I'm a programmer/developer, so it wouldn't seem like I'd have that much use for it).

The design is nice in that it's compact, very sturdy, and really not that heavy.The whole thing, when folded up, is barely (just barely) wider than my thumb.

It contains a total of 7 tools:
1. Blade.*Very* sharp.I often use it to cut open that annoying plastic packaging that's sealed around the edges that's popular now with electronics.

2. File.Haven't used it yet, but it's large and has two different textures.Too coarse for filing my nails ;)

3. Small Screw Driver.Perfect size for tightening screws on the frames of my glasses.

4. Letter Opener.Heh, I typically use the blade :)

5. "Single Axis"/Compact Philips Head Screw Driver.I questioned how well this design would work at first, but it saved me quite a bit of time once when I was installing a door knob and realized that I had forgotten to bring a Phillips head screw driver and my cordless drill's battery died.

6. Flat Head Screw Driver/Bottle Opener.Both very useful.

7. Pliers.I've had trouble getting myself to exert a lot of pressure on it in fear of snapping it, but it seems very sturdy.When you open the pliers, there's a nice satisfying mechanical "snap snap" :)Excellent for manipulating small objects.The "spring" mechanism has an excellent feel to it.

Overall, a great tool that you'll find yourself using more than you think you would.I think a tool of this size is better for the average Joe whereas a bigger, more comprehensive multi-tool would server powerusers better.

I gave a pair of these, with the pliers, to my husband for his birthday. He loves them! He uses them all the time and they are sturdy! The best part is Leatherman has a lifetime warranty if something happens to break.

A tool kit in your pocket!What's not to like?
I own the model with the pliers.This thing is a lifesaver!I work in a library - a pretty tame place, tool-wise - but no matter where you work, you seldom go very long without needing a tool of some kind. Ninety-nine percent of the time, you won't need anything that isn't on the Squirt.

Very Stable & Strong Step Ladder
With me on one side (6/4 250 lbs.) and my son on the other side (6/8 260 lbs.), the T7406 is as stable as can be.Since it easily holds the two of us, perhaps the rating should say "375 lb. per side".It doesn't rock, creak, or feel not-up-to, the task.All double-sided step-ladders will cost more and be heavier, than their single-sided counterparts.However, the flexibility of being able to use either side, or to safely support two people, is the major advantage of this ladder.Also, having a fiberglass frame, it won't transmit electricity.It's high-quality and designed to last a very long time under heavy use.It's comfortable to stand upon, as the treads are quite deep and heavily grooved to prevent slipping.This is one terrific step-ladder.

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO OWN ONE!?!?!
I have owned and worked on just about every ladder made, over many years, and I have to say, this has got to be one of the safest, most stable ladders on the market. It's a tad bit heavy, but well worth the extra lugging.

It does take a little to get used to, like I find myself debating as to which side to climb down when standing straddled over the top, and it is wider when folded up, using up more room in the construction trailer, but I plan to buy more over the years. I bought a 6 footer and plan to buy another along with two 8 footers. Very stable and works great to span scaffolding planks to. I highly recommend one, especially to any contractor.

AWESOME LADDDER
I recently purchased the eight foot double sided step laddder and would seriously recommend it to any one looking for a heavy duty ladder! I am a residental contracter and use it every day. Its works great for two guys to work off of and also strong enough to use with an aluminum walk plank. Hi I'm Bob
I'm a certifiable clamp junkie & I prefer the Jorgensen line. I've strayed off the straight & narrow occasionally & tried other brands but I've always come back to Jorgies. Simple & bullit-proof, nice thick cushy pads & a clutch system that engages without fuss every time. The minis are great for light duty clamping, getting into tight spots & setting up jigs. For these jobs I like the 8" length, not too short & not too long. I think Jorgensens design is as good as anyone's, their quality control consistantly a cut above & their price a little easier on the pocket book. scaffolking
Very nice product to work with.Very sturdy and you can set it to exactly the height you want it to.My only problem is that it takes two people to set it up, or to adjust the height.

Baker type scaffolding is very conveinient
Carry in as small as a car or mini van because very compact when flat, one person set up in 3 minutes. Rolls through man doors when set up. It's just all around conveinient to use for relatively low appplications, but can stack up to 3 high when out riggers are used(maximum 18' tall). Great value
I was in the market for a multi-tool for quite sometime. I considered several different models but many seemed like overkill. I mean how many attachments did I really need? I certainly wasn't looking to clean out any cow hooves or saw through a leg bone with it after a successful hunt. It has the right number of tools and features for a regular guy. I use it at work and at home all the time. The add-on tool set and carrying case are a nice bonuses. Great value for [the money].

An EXCELLENT replacement for the Sideclip
I had written a review about the Leatherman Sideclip, calling it the best daily carry multi-tool I had found.This was until I got a Gerber Sport.

My "heavy-use" multi-tool is a Gerber, and I would often carry onto a jobsite if I knew I was going to be using such a tool.The "auto-pliers" and locking tools make it a fine choice.

The Scout retains these qualities, slims down the size and weight, and adds a very heavy duty set of scissors that I have personally used to shear thru thick leather hides.Cuts seatbelts like a charm as well.

The selection of tools isn't comprimised on this smaller model either.A good selection of ground screwdriver blades and a solid combo-edge knife are the standouts.

I have owned many a Leatherman, and I have twisted and tweaked the screwdriver blades on every one of them.I have *never* had this happen with a Gerber.

Those of us that have had to apply a good amount of force to a multi-tool plier have known what the hollows of a Leatherman feel like.Hard to apply pressure for any length of time as it "bites" into your hand. The Gerber's handle is rounded and quite comfortable for such activity.

One last note:As silly as it sounds, taking out your Leatherman in the middle of a task can often be clumsy as you butterfly it out to get at the pliers.With the Gerber, you flick your wrist and you're ready to go.

Just the tool I needed
I first used this type of gerber onboard a ship, and its great! has practically everthing you need with an added tool set sor you can fit more screws. Its much easier to have this sitting on your belt loop ready to use then to have to fish around in a tool bag or box for the tool you need. ... Read more

I just received this clamp and have not had a chance to use it yet,however if it clamps anything like it feels it should be great.As an amatuer woodworker, I own several other smaller clamps and some 'pipe' clamps. Excellent Deal

These ARE a great value!
First of all I have to say that the reason why I happen to be writing this review is because I was on Amazon ordering another box of these sanding discs! There is no higher praise in my book than a return customer!

Now for the review: I have to agree with the other positive reviews and say that I have long been a fan of these Mirka sanding disks. I am a home woodworker whose projects range from DIY stuff around the house, to refinishing, to building fine furniture projects. I have been using these discs for years (in every grit from 80 to 220) and could not be more pleased with the smooth surfaces they produce with my rather inexpensive sander.

I completely agree with the assessment that although these are not the absolute best hook and loop discs on the market, they have performed every task I have asked of them. Overall, I would give this product an A- for quality/performance, and an A+ for value.

Good Quality, Excellent Value
I have purchased every grit of Mirka sanding disks from Amazon, and I find them to be good quality. The price per disc works out to be a great value if you purchase them in packs of 50.

I used these disks on my Bosch random-orbit sander. The hook-and-loop backing is strong and holds on through rough sanding. The aluminum oxide sanding material lasts for a good amount of time. I've used them on a variety of wood surfaces, and I have used them to remove paint, and they last long enough to take down a lot of material. I have bought other brands of sanding discs that do last longer, but the Mirka discs definitely hold up well.

The discs are packaged in a sturdy box with a cover, which makes it easy to dispense them as needed. Also, having them stored in a box keeps them clean, which helps the hook-and-loop function. This actually helps out a lot in the shop. Other brands come wrapped in plastic, and you have to find a container for them, or let them sit on a shelf and get full of sawdust. I appreciate this extra touch.

The paper stock is somewhat thin, but this does not really affect their use. Since they are stored in a box, they stay flat. Other brands, which are stored in bags, get curled up on the edges.

Bottom line: these are good quality sanding discs that last for a good amount of time, are a good value for the money, and are packaged in a convenient way. ... Read more

Extremely handy
Great clamps for two reasons.1, you only need one hand.2, you don't need to put blocks to prevent mares and dents.

Great Clamp, Good Size (You Decide)
This clamp uses the ingenius trigger grip design for unbelievable ease of use. This makes the clamp unbelievably easy to tighten using one hand. A few warnings about this particular product, however:

(1) Be sure the size is correct. I think the 24" size is probably a bit too big for most projects. I think the 18" size is the best all-around size.Personal preference and common usage really should make this decision for you.

(2) The plastic construction makes the clamps best for holding items "approximately" in place. If you need total clamping for cutting precision, look elsewhere.

All in all, a good product if it is the right size, and used for the right purpose.A good collection would probably include either this or the 18" size, the 36" size and the smallest size.If building such a collection, I would start with this or the 18" size. ... Read more

They Have a Point -- Literally!
I did quite a bit of research looking for a clamping system for picture frames. Time and again I came back to Ulmia and decided to give them a try. They look good but simply do not work on the woods I tested them on: maple, oak, pine, purple heart and cherry. The springs have nail-sharp points on them that, when clamped with the lightest pressure I could and still hold the mitre, punched varying holes and gouges in the wood. I even tried one on the nice wooden box they were shipped in and it dug into the side. (Did the return department notice that?)

I'm not sure what application one would use where gouging the wood is an acceptable part of clamping. For me, the Ulmia design is "Duh!" What do you get when you press sharp, hardened steel into wood? I should have figured that one out before wasting the time buying and returning it.

A MUST
Since I purchased a set of Miter Clamps I have never looked back. They are an absolute must for any body doing base board, crown moulding shoe moulding etc. They are perfect for finished work, just glue and clamp no nails necessary. I have recommended Miter Clamps to anybody I know in the same scope of work as me. From my recommendations to the rest of the people in my company several have purchased the clamps and have found them a hugh success. It's a bargain, considering how long it lasts
When I first bought my Bosch 3727DVS, I bought a box of the popular grades; 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, and 320. The 100, 120, and 150 are the most frequently used.To tell you the truth, I rarely use the 320. I just went through over 50 boards of 80+ inch cedar, in three grades, and I only used about 10 sheets all combined. That is about 3 for each grade. The advantage to quality paper, is that you can get in a groove with some consistency. Instead of having cheaper paper that gives you the new disc agressiveness, then quickly to the used paper smoothness, which may be a grade finer, and miss the deeper lines from the coarser grade of paper in the previous step. Additionally the backing paper is stiff enough to do the job. That way you don't wind up with a buggered edge on your sander. The 6 hole paper is nice for the dust free environment. I simply attach a 2 1/2" vac hose to the dust port on my Bosch, which is way smaller than that, so a lot of air escapes. The vacuum draw that leaks around the inlet, sucks up that last 1% of the dust coming off the paper. It is still recommended to wear a mask because the shop vacs only capture to a micron or so. So technically you have a vac system that is actually a mini-part of a micron, invisible dust manufacturing plant. Over time, even that is a consideration. A good respirator, not a paper mask is advisable. A fresh air system is even better.
I had a body shop for 20 years, and after using the cheaper paper on the random orbit sanders, and winding up with a floor full of used paper, I can attest to the savings of using quality, aluminum oxide paper. Stable base for heavy sharpening
I use this base to hold 4" DMT whetstones and sharpen chisels and planes.These heavy items can move around an unsecured sharpening system.Plus the DMT stones are used wet which makes the table top slippery unless you are a lot neater than I am.

I was very satisfied with the plastic base.It never moved even when placed on wet formica. The elevated height allowed me to guide the tool along the edge and to flatten the chisel backs without hitting fingers on the table top. Eight rubber washers slip over plastic feet.Sounds flimsy, but its not.I would recommend gluing the rubber feet on at some point just so they don't get lost.

It also lets one store the diamond plate without scratching other surfaces or damaging the plate bottom.

The diamond stone came with a non-skid pad, but it would not hold a piece of plate glass still unless the table top was perfectly flat (and most are not).

The main disadvantage to the holder is that the stone cannot be easily flipped over.One plastic end must be removed and then reinserted.Maybe a 15 second job, but if you are going to use both sides in succession, it's inconvenient. I wish I had bought a coarse/fine combo instead of a fine/x-fine.
