Not just for contractors!
I've been carrying my Bucket Boss briefcase on a daily basic for two years now, and it still looks new. It may be designed for contractors, but there are plenty of features that make it perfect for computers geeks as well. There's room for a laptop, of course; a special pocket for a cell phone that lets you hear the phone ring, tons of pockets for pens, pencils, screwdrivers, pliers, a digital camera, books... whatever you need to carry. It's rugged, looks good in almost any setting, yet doesn't attract the attention of thieves like the typical laptop case or fancy briefcase. Highly recommended.

Oh, but for one zipper...
...this would be a perfect bag. It wants for a zipper under the main flap for the primary compartment. In its existing state papers get wet in a rain storm.

Better and cheaper too!
I was looking for a replacement for my Lands End briefcase [I've had three of those but I'll never go back]. One of my complaints about the last one I had was that it was navy blue and things like my black cell phone would get lost down in it [along with other things]. With only a few small but deep pockets inside, there wasn't a good place for the phone, and things tended to get very disorganized. I'm a clinical psychologist with 3 offices [and a home office] so I tend to carry around a lot of junk, including charts, other papers etc. and with the Bucket Boss I'm no longer always rooting around trying to find something that I tossed in there. In my search, I looked at other canvas bags that could take the beating of all the moving about that I need to do - the Lands End ..., the L.L. Bean case ... and one from Duluth Pack ... but I saw this one in the ... Tool Crib catalog for... and it kept intriguing me - in part because of the lighter color, which I thought would help with being able to find my "lost" things. At that price there seemed little to lose but boy, was I pleasantly surprised when I got it. The pictures and text do not do it justice. It has tons of pockets, places for pens, wallet, checkbook...you name it. I've used it for over a month now and I can't find anything I'd change in the design, nor any flaws in the construction. In fact, I love it so much that I'm going to order a "replacement" now, so that when I wear this one out I'll have one already. My only qualm in doing that is that it is so well made, it may never wear out, but I'm sure my heirs will be able to put it to good use long after I don't need it any longer. ... Read more

Sonin DT210 InchMate Pro
My two year old D210 InchMate Pro just died. Worked fine one day, sat on my workshop table overnight and wouldn't turn on the next day. Didn't drop it, no static discharge. A hard reset and a new battery didn't help. Dead.

Pros: Will handle calculations in increments as small as 1/64 inch. Pretty nifty conversion between units, including yards, feet, inch decimal, inch fraction, and metric.

Cons: Uses a special $3.00 CR2016 3V lithium battery. Inputting fractions is a bit tedious . If you input a fractional number and then input an integer or decimal number without also specifying the units of the second number (inch, meter, etc.) the calculator displays an error message that you cannot recover from. You have to clear everything and re-enter ALL your numbers over again.

Don't Waste Your Money!
Kudos to Amazon for their quick delivery. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing that can be said about this safe. Purchased this mainly because of the Brink's name, but was disappointed with the cheap construction and plastic parts used in the lock mechanism. Within 24 hours the electronic lock stopped working altogether and had to resort to using the key to open the safe. Will be returning this tomorrow.

Works as advertised
This little safe works as it is advertised. The battery operated lock works well, and there is a key override system if the batteries fail. It is an easy way to keep secure passports, cash, jewelry, or other small documents.
However, this safe is not fire resistant, and any thief with basic lockpicking skills could open the key override lock. (on the flip side this is good if the batteries fail and you lose the keys, any locksmith can open the lock as well)
The best would be to secure the safe via the included bolts, otherwise, the safe can easily be carried out by hand. Like I mentioned before, it is a convenient way to keep valubles more secure than in an unlocked drawer, but not something to completely rely on. ... Read more

Great Buy...I have two!
I have the black "mini" cell phone/beeper holder for my LG L1400 (I love this phone too). I like this a lot better than the case I purchased with my phone that costed $25 bucks, got this case for under $5 at Menards. I have the standard tan and green colored cover for my work phone. I love both for the fact they are rugged on the outside and plush on the inside. Also the belt system I love. They should use this same system on thier other products which I have reviewed (knife sheath, rear gaurd) the system on the phone case has the metal clip which is very sturdy and it also has an enclosed belt loop (the black "mini" has both loop and clip). I highly recomend this product.

Professional Wordworker
The basic functions are the best! Need to divide 23 9/16" by 5. Or find out how many inches 24.5cm is! No Problem!

I find I use this calculator everytime I'm in the workshop or Home Depot shoping for materials.

If there's a negative I'd say that the cover can be awkward to close in a hurry. Great tool otherwise!

Design needs more work
I found the Sonin 2000 to be difficult to use. The largest defect is that if you make an error in entering data, say trying to add 3 feet to 5 meters, the calculator properly tells you that you have made an error, butthen it essentially locks up. You can't get back to where you were in thecalculation before the error. It has a memory register, but you can't justput a number there, you can only add to the number previously there. Also,the buttons and legends are too small and the feel of the buttons is notvery good. (Sometimes the button doesn't make contact when you think itdid, and you get thrown into errorland on the next key stroke.)(Sonindidn't reply to my email inquiry about the error problem.) I'd look intoother calculators.

Nice Bag, Nice Rip, Poor customer service!
I really like this well designed bag, its large enough to carry notebooks, books and plenty of office related stuff while out and about. Unfortunately, I really DISLIKE the tear in the fabric that has developed on the side, adjacent to the shoulder strap. Not unlike another customer who has reviewed it, I also have sent a couple of emails to Bucket Boss Brand for information on repair or replacement and have yet to hear a word. So, although a great bag in design and function, I suspect that the material quality and workmanship is sub par and would advise consumers to find an alternate product. Surprisingly, I really do not mind the fact that the bag has developed a defect, of all the Bucket Boss products I have purchased over the years this is the first one that has let me down. What really torques my jaw is that Bucket Boss Brand no longer seems to care about their loyal customers or product quality.

Nice Breifcase
I am very pleased with this product. I have only had it for a few months but it seems to be very well constructed.

Bulky but useful
This is a very functional piece of luggage, which is good.It does feel a lot more like "luggage" than a "bag" or "briefcase" though, which is not so good.I work predominantly in Manhattan, so I am constantly walking around on busy streets, making my way through crowded subways, etc.The art and science of bag design is a big deal here.The blocky design of this bag makes it more awkward than a similar bag of a different type.It does hold a lot of stuff, I can fit my Makita 14.4 volt drill and charger in it, with enough room left over for plans, other hand tools, etc.The organizer section is a good thing, and useful, though like most other hybrid tool/papers bags, it has some "tool pockets" that fit no tool in my arsenal.The tape measure pocket works well, keeping me from forgetting one and looking like an idiot when I show up to do an estimate. The clear "plan window" is useless.If all the relevant drawings for your projects will fit in one 11x14 window, you probably can carry everything else in your pockets.
The color is dorky, but it makes you fit into certain client's fantasy of "a guy who knows what he is doing"
Some straps that would cinch it up narrower when it wasn't full would be a great addition.
It is probably perfect for someone who wants to organize the sea of papers that washes over the front seat of their truck.
