    Editorial Review

A 4-cycle, 26cc variable speed engine powers this dynamo around your borders, trees, and against foundations. Ryobi’s eliminated the need to mix messy oil and gas with this unit, which runs on straight gas, saving you time and trouble. It’s fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly and runs quieter than its 2-stroke competition. Easy starts are assured, too, because of a primer bulb. The bump feed advances more line whenever you need it, and the SpeedSpool Line Replacement lets you put in a new line without taking the head apart--a great idea. In hand, it’s well-balanced, relatively light, and very comfortable, thanks to the D-shaped handle and its ergonomic soft grip. If it were only a trimmer, it would be a great purchase, but add to it the capability to attach a range of different heads, and you’ve got a highly versatile, multi-purpose yard tool. The Trimmer Plus attachments (sold separately) turn the trimmer into an edger, hedge trimmer, tree pruner, leaf blower/vac, garden cultivator, and snow thrower. The attachments connect in a second with a solid "click," and you’re off on a new task. It’s an ingenious system that will bring professional-type lawn tools to the average homeowner. Bravo, Ryobi!--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good for the price, but ONE BIG PROBLEM
I've had the trimmer, the tiller, edging and tree attachments for about 2 summers now. Overall, for the money, it is a good trimmer. The edger works decently, although I've only used it once. I use the tree trimmer each fall. I have used the tiller quite a bit as I have to prep one 70 sq. ft. veggie garden and about 200 sq. ft. of flower beds each year. I use it to trim every week or more, after each mowing of a 1/2 acre lawn.

The trimmer itself is good and runs nicely, its great not to have to mix gas and my wife likes it as its not as smoky and noisy. However, she wont use it because it is pretty heavy. I highly recommend getting a strap, and if I were to do this all over again, I'd get a straight shaft trimmer.

Now for the problem. My very first time out with the tiller, the cable inside became stuck in the shaft and I couldn't get the tiller attachment off until I resorted to 2 sets of vise grips and more than a little force. Turns out the cable from the attachments is just a spring type cable with a square end. this fits into a pot metal type coupler that is on the end of another spring wound cable from the motor. This is all at the break, roughly halfway on the shaft. What happened is that due to the torque of the tiller, the cable end "oblonged" instead of staying square inside the coupler. This bound the cable inside the coupler and they had to be forceably separated.

After this episode, the cable and the coupler never fit properly and every time I put the tiller or edger on, it had to be forced apart. This has also stretched the cable a little and fitting together is a dicey chore. I ended up having to buy ANOTHER trimmer and I just leave one in the tiller now. The other I use as a trimmer and with the lighter attachments. I only did this because I had the significant investment in the attachments and getting another trimmer was less expensive than getting rid of this and starting over. But I sure thought about it.

So you can see, WHAT'S THE SENSE of having these when I could/should have just bought separate units to begin with. I'd be very interested to find out if other owners have had the same trouble. Oh, by the way in case you are wondering, I carefully turned over the soil by shovel in all of these beds and never used the tiller for "fresh ground" tilling. I'm smarter than that and I borrow my brothers Troy-Built when I need to go to town from scratch. This tiller is only used to freshen a spring bed and mix in additives, and then only after a shovel turnover.

All in all, I'm pretty disappointed. I had a Ryobu saw years ago that I wasn't impressed with either. I get the sense that Ryobi doesn't spend much on engineering and quality, as in they skimp a bit on the level. I'd give this one star, but the trimmer is decent, the tiller works well now that its permanent, and the other attachments do the job. The idea was great, the execution needs a rethink, especially in coupler design.

1-0 out of 5 stars Arrived Broken
Can you beleive it? I ordered this thinking it would be a great addition to my outdoor assault weapons which I use to keep my yard from taking over the house. Things grow fast in the my gulch.

Well, I take it out of the big Amazon box. It's already busted! The lid for the air intake snaps onto the intake itself. So I figure, "OK, I guess I gotta call up Amazon." Well, this thing runs on gas, so I can't return it to Amazon. Instead they want
me to contact Ryobi. Well, that is turning out to be impossible.

The phone number given by the Ryobi site for their outdoor products doesn't get picked up. Instead, a recording tells you
thatdue to high volume, your call won't be answered. Have a nice day!

So I got it in the backside, for the first time, from good old Amazon. Thanks, Amazon. 'preciate it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beware Trimmer ships with no oil in crankcase
This item ships with no oil in the crankcase. Their is a yellow tag on the gas tank to fill with gas only and add no oil. and then a statement to add oil to engine.
Their should be a RED tag telling you to add oil first before trying to start.
Some people may not know the diference between a 2 and 4 cycle engine.

Ryobi should have done a better job.
When I checked the oil dipstick I was supprised their was no oil. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Better Than Expected
After moving to a city home, we found our gas tiller to be too big and awkward for most jobs.In searching the internet I came across the electric Garden Wizard but almost no user reports. Finally, when Amazon offered the tiller for under $200 with free shipping we decided to take a chance.

I am happy to report that we're extremely pleased with the product. It digs in agressivly, does an excellent job of preparing the soil for planting and it's easy to handle.Fears that it's light weight wouldn't let it till effectivly were unfounded.I was a bit concerned that it lacked a stake to keep it from surging forward but it's actually easy to hold. Our neighbor has a gas powered Honda of similar size and the Wizard works as well or better without the hassle and noise of gasoline. Can't speak for it's long term reliability but so far we're extremely pleased.

Obviously it's not for heavy tilling or sod breaking but for an existing small garden and flower beds, it's perfect.

5-0 out of 5 stars Performed flawlessly
This is my first experience with a tiller, and I needed to till my backyard to prepare for laying sod. I have compacted clay soil about 4 inches below my current topsoil. I did my best to rake and clear out rocks and roots from nearby trees before using this tiller. This tiller is ready to go right out of the box without any assembly. I already purchased an outdoor rated 16 guage ext. cord just for this, so, I immediately spread mulch on top of the existing soil and started tilling. I was very impressed with the power and I noticed while tilling it was kicking out a lot of rocks deap inside the soil and big clay clods. This tiller, also got caught on a heavy root that made a big noise and snapped the root but, once again didn't seem to bother the tiller. After doing a first run I again cleared the rocks that I could see, because I was worried about breaking a tine or something. But, this tiller again did not seem to be bother with the rocks that were still hidden within the soil and it just kicked them out. It is an effort to control once it hits the compacted clay soil, but with arm power of holding/pulling back and forward it ate the clay soil up without a strain on power. So, for my first experience with a tiller and a flawless day of use, I give this 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great tiller - with proper understanding
A note of caution on the tiller: it has two components which I've discovered I don't like. The first is a plastic sprocket gear that transfers power from the motor to the driveline and tines.Guess what happens when the little Garden Wizard gets tangled up in a tree root... yes, it completely strips the teeth out of the plastic gear.(Here you can correctly assume it's very cheap to mold a plastic gear instead of machine a metal one.)Second, the thing that's supposed to help eliminate the gear stripping problem is that Remington has a built-in circuit breaker right on the trigger housing."How convenient", one might think at first, except that the breaker is made in Indonesia under questionable quality control and that the breaker is only rated at 7 amps. The tiller has a 12 amp motor. Why bother advertising that it has such a great feature like a 12 amp motor when the ciruit breaker shuts it off at less than a 60% load?

If you plan to use this product in already tilled and established planting beds, I would say that it's not a bad machine and you'll probably never have a problem with it.If you are trying to break established sod - be forewarned that tree roots or rocks will most likely cause you an instant breakdown. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars There's no substitute for quality
I have a couple of rules about tools that I've developed for myself, I'll share one here, don't buy crap. Most expensive doesn't equate best, but do your homework and buy good quality, it will cost you less in the long run.

A few years ago I bought a pair of corona "professional" pruners after having borrowed my brother-in-laws felco #2's. I used them for a couple of cuts and couldn't stand them... so I took them back, which I really don't like to do much but they just weren't what they were represented to be by the salesman. Which is as good as Felco pruners. (Corona makes other good products I'm especially fond of their lopers.) Then I went to another store (before I grew so fond of amazon) and bought some of these. I LOVE THEM. I can't say that enough so just in case you missed it, I LOVE THEM. For the last few years I've used them every year for a good number of trees, shrubs and bushes. They are still sharp, I haven't even had to sharpen them. They cut like the day I bought them. They are so smooth and feel so nice in your hand compared to any of the others I've used. (When I was young and dumb I worked landscaping for a while, the boss had a set of these, but we got stuck using whatever else, now I know why!)

If you want the best hand pruners that will last you at least twice as long, I think you've found the right pair.

4-0 out of 5 stars Felco Bypass Pruner No 2
I've had a Felco no 2 pruner for a year, and find it tough and durable. It has been heavily copied, but most of the copies don't last like the Felco. I also have had a Corona pruner of similar design that fell apart in my hands today as I was pruning. True, it lasted a couple of years, but I can usually cut a thicker branch with the Felco. I'm now in the market for a second Felco. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Spool is great - but cheaper to reload the one you have
The design of the spool is terrific but it's so easy to refill the spool you're really better off buying some trimmer line in bulk at Home Depot and refilling it yourself.

I could see getting a second one to keep a reloaded one handy on standby, but really, it's no trouble to refill the spool yourself and much cheaper than buying replacements. Can't say enough about the product, it's terrific. I love my Ryobi, I have a gas and an electric one (got tired of dragging the cord around but the electric one still works great). ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Gardena flow control nozzle
I've been using these hose nozzles for almost 10 years and I really like them. They work well and have great "feel" but, unfortunately, they're somewhat fragile.Figure on replacing it annually, maybe once every 2 years if you're REALLY careful. One drop onto concrete from waist height and it'll break.Leave the water on 24/7 and the pressure will crack the body.Still, they're light and the plastic body means less potential for paint damage when washing your car.Despite the fragile factor I keep buying these because I haven't found a nozzle I like better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Gardena Products convenient and reliable
I have used Gardena Products for years and love them. They are convenient and reliable. This nozzle is another great example.

But the 4 pound shipping weight on this item is rediculous.Including shipping materials the shipping weight is no more than a half pound.

5-0 out of 5 stars A very effective trimmer
Positive: I found this to be a great trimmer .It quickly and effectively cut through branches up to 3/8 of an inch (as stated in the manual) and was light and easy to use. While I might not suggest it if you have a great number of bushes to deal with, it sure worked really well with the four or five that I trimmed down and shaped.

Negative: The only issue I had with it is the built-in cord holder. If you plan on using a 25 (or 50 foot) extension cord, I would venture a guess that you should be using a 16 (or 14) guage cord, and the hole for the cord to loop through is a little tight.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little machine
I bought this months ago, and after using it myself, my daughter borrowed it and she also loves it.I wouldn't be surprised if she bought one for herself (she is NOT keeping MINE). It's lightweight, and easy for a woman to handle.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
I decided to get my husband this trimmer for father' day after seeing him trim our hedges with a small pair of pruning shears. He loves it!!!As stated, it comes fully assembled.Just get an extension cord, plug it in, and go for it.It was light weight but not flimsy. He couldn't believe how easy it was and how fast it was.We didn't know why we had not purchased one earlier. The price is great, the product is great and you will love it.Note...if you want to trim larger branches, Black and Decker makes larger trimmers. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Clipper
This clipper is a big scissors, that's all. There's no rotation of the blades relative to the handle, as the ad on Amazon says. My pair is OK, but the spring is a real workout machine, and I'm wondering how to lighten it a bit. I find that the shears gum up with grass juice very quickly, and then the blades bind (won't open with the spring). I carry a wrung-out rag while I'm trimming and wipe the blades quite often to keep them free of drying grass juice. This works, and I'm able to keep on snipping for as long as I want. The shears are sharpenable, and the construction seems strong. I really would like to ease that spring -- that stiff spring is really my only beef with these. ... Read more

The business end of this push reel mower is solid, sharp, and everything a reel mower should be, with five heat-treated, knife-sharp steel blades that can be adjusted for nine grass heights with very easy wheel tabs. With its 10-inch wheels, radial tires, and 18-inch cutting width, this mower should enable you to cross whatever terrain and reach whatever hard-to-access rogue patches of grass you desire. There's no soft cushion on the handle, which is too bad, but otherwise, the Scotts Classic is a durable, well-constructed, simple device. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars It will need to be sharpened before it will cut grass
Out of the box, this lawnmower cut grass only in the middle 14 inches; 2 inches on the left side and 4 inches on the right side cut nothing. To advertise this mower as not needing sharpening for one minute, let alone for two years, is deceptive and a blatant lie. Could this be the reason the sharpening kit (for another $25) is on 5-week backorder?

5-0 out of 5 stars Lawn looks Good & a good workout too!
My husband is the resident lawn and garden specialist at our home. In fact I have never mowed a lawn in my life because the fumes and noise give me a headache just as a bystander. Now that he is traveling more with work we contemplated getting a service while he is gone - but instead I bought this mower and used it for the first time today. I really like it. No it isn't as perfect as his power mower - but it is pretty darn good. Quite a workout too - which is OK with me. I can't compare it to the effort of a power mower but it did get my wind up and I was working muscles! For any women who are interested in the effort involved - I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs. - work out 3 x week & it was still tough but totally doable. Does a good job on edges as well. Put together time about 30 min. I will get alot of use out of this one - the dogs loved chasing me as I pushed briskly. Just hosed it down for clean up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Overall
I found a used Scotts Classic locally.I'd been exploring the ideaof a reel mower since the gas push mower we own is tricky to start and currently not working.I wanted a "backup" mower just in case repairs to the power mower took longer than expected.

Additionally, with gas prices rising, I've been looking into things like electric mowers-- but who needs the cord, or a battery that dies?My neighbor has a corded model, and it doesn't cut well, and looks like it's consistently a pain to use.But I still admired the eco-friendly aspect.

When I happened across the Scotts Classic used for $75 I knew I'd hit the jackpot since I'd seen them online for significantly more cash.I bought it right away and today I used it for the first time. The grass was slightly damp and slightly bent over; this was the first mowing of the season and I let it get a little too long, I thought.

Well, the Scotts Classic went right on through. It didn't do a putting-green perfect job, but the lawn looks much better than it did before I mowed, and I think that in the future when I'm not mowing such long grass, the mower will catch more of it.I overlapped my swaths by several inches but I mowed at a pretty good clip (the mower is light and easy to push) and it didn't take any longer than it would have with the power mower, honestly. There are some edging places I'll need to use a string trimmer, but I probably should have done the same when I was mowing with the power mower, anyway.

Ours is a small, flat, urban yard, with a fair number of weeds (we don't use chemicals on our yard because I am lazy, cheap, and because I like the violets that would be killed by a broadleaf herbicide) and the mower did a very good job.Even a couple twigs didn't stop it-- I was impressed!

I'm glad I bought the Scotts Classic and would do so again. What I initially bought as a "backup" mower may well become the one we use most often. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great light-duty blower
I do woodworking on the weekends and bought this blower to clean up my shop. The variable speed on the blower is very useful; I can use the blower with just enough force to blow sawdust off of my tools and work surfaces without creating a dust storm in my shop. The 18 volt battery lasts for several days when used in this mode. My only complaint is that the blower won't stand upright when set on a flat surface. I wish Makita had built the blower with the weight distributed such that it would stand up when set on a surface.

1-0 out of 5 stars What a disappointment
I am a contractor who really needs a small cordless vacuum and blower. I already have many corded and cordless 18v Makita tools, so I was really looking forward to this arriving. There is a really aweful reason why you only ever see the photo of this set up in blower configuration. It's because that is all it is any good for. To convert it to a vacuum you have to put the dust bag on the front in place of the nozzle, then you put the nozzle on the side of the maching sticking out at 90 degrees from the handle!! Obviously, the machine is now such a weird shape it is now basically useless as a vacuum. It cannot be used to vacuum a van or car. It cannot be used to vacuum inside cabinets or anything else. I am not even sure how you could hold the trigger while holding the machine so the nozzle aims in front of you. You would probably have to use both hands. I can't believe anyone could be stupid enough to design this. They should sell it as just a blower or give a photo of it in both configurations to warn people.
I never even bothered to put a battery in it or turn it on. Five minutes after opening it and reading the instructions, it was back in its box and on its way to Amazon returns.
If you ONLY want a blower, then maybe it would be fine for you. If you want a cordless vacuum, then don't even consider this Frankenstein designed machine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Battery charger issue
I recently purchased this blower and the separate ...battery you need, but have yet to use it because I have had trouble finding an 18vbattery charger.Amazon doesn't have one as a separate product, nor [do local stores](18 volt chargers are rare items, I am told). I wound up ordering a new Makita 18 volt 1/2" drill kit with two batteries and a charger for about $209 (not much more than the price of two batteries).A reconditioned drill kit would be even better, as recommended in another review here, but when I looked Amazon no longer carried this item.

Point is, think about how you are going to buy your batteries (cheaper in a kit) and where you will get a charger if not in a kit.

I give it 5 stars because I assume it is a great product, and the review system requires a stars to be selected. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars A design disaster compared to the older model.
Compared to the older RESV1300 model, you wonder if they tested this new model with real humans, because it is a ergonomic disaster. The new model positions the bag to the rear so you have to sling the bag over your shoulder or around your neck, which becomes very cumbersome as the bag gets heavier with mulch and you start to move around. And your pants are ready for the washer cause the bag rubs against your leg. (The bag on the old model was slung under the tube.)Also with the new model you have to stop when you want to change from vacuum to blower, and change tubes, and carry a screwdriver to do it. (The old model had a lever that switch functions instantaneously.)I wish I had my old model back.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for this physically limited user!
I agree with all the positive points the other reviewers had touched on.I just want to add that I have fibromyalgia, and have a problem with muscle fatigue and spasms when I do physical activity, especially in my back. This unit is lightweight, and when the bag is slung across your shoulder correctly, it doesn't feel that heavy, even when the bag is full.I had more problems dealing with the slope and tree branches than I did with the unit itself. The only way I would improve it would be with an optional extension for the tube, so taller people could use it without having to bend over to get the intake tube close enough to the leave when vacuuming. (I'm 5'8")

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Blower
For the money this blower probably cannot be beat.I had bought a Black & Decker blower/vacumn at Home Depot and returned it.It was so loud it made my ears hurt.No such problem with this blower. While it's not quiet, it was not annoyingly loud like the B&D blower or blowers I've heard my neighbors using.

It does take a few minutes to convert from blower to vacumn but it's not like I'm going to use it every day or even every week. The vacumn/mulcher did a great job with a pile of leaves I had and also was terrific for getting debris out from hard to get to places (small areas adjacent to my house and the steps going down to my basement door).I like the two speeds, as well.

The only potential downside could be that the opening at the end of the blower is a little smaller than others I've seen. This means that it may take longer to get what you set out to do done.If you have a very large yard with many trees, that may be something you want to consider. It should work fine for the size yard and trees I have (and the number of trees adjacent to my property). We'll know for sure come Fall.So far, I'm very glad I bought it. ... Produced by a leader in the garden-tools market, the Fiskars bypass pruner is perfect for precise, clean cutting of green growth. The pruner features Fiskars' trademarked PowerGear design, which maximizes lopper leverage to reduce cutting effort and is an ingenious innovation with impressive results. As you draw the long lopper handles together, the outside handle moves the gears, closing the blade with less exertion. The replaceable xylan-coated blade reduces friction and resists rust, and the handles are made of aluminum, so they're light and cause less fatigue. With its 2-inch cutting capacity, this is definitely a professional-quality pruner; even weekend gardeners can benefit from its fantastic design. Limited lifetime warranty. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Superb
I don't write that many reviews, but this product is worth raving about.

For years now I've been using various cutting tools for handling the wild area behind my house.Every piece of every tree I cut down either winds up going through the chipper or becomes firewood. So in building the arsenal to do all that efficiently, having a good pair of loppers is essential. This model is nothing less than superb. The chief features to me are:

    1. Most importantly, the outer tips of the blades are beveled, thereby preventing them from ever overlapping as the cut is being made so as to prevent them from destroying themselves via chipping the edges. My old cutters failed to have this feature, and I had to constantly watch each and every cut, and I *still* had chipped blades due to this overlapping.

    2. Very light.

    3. Very strong. The aluminum handles are shaped so as to use the minimum material while maximizing strength along the plane where the force is exherted. My last loppers seemed pretty beefy, but I eventually broke one of the fiberglass handles in half, so metal handles are a must in my book.

    4. Cuts like butter, and handles anything piece of wood that will fit in the jaws. The gear action is smooth and highly effective.

    5. Easy to spot in the brush thanks to the orange highlights, and in general a very attractive tool.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the cost
In the last 6 months, I've been through 4 pairs of loppers cutting down mountain cedar in Texas.Either the blades would dull prematurely, or the clamping mechanism would fail, causing the lopper handles to come so close together you crush your fingers between them.

After spending an entire weekend with these Fiskars, they are still going strong, show no signs of dulling or failure. To top it off, the blades are easily replaceable.Very well made piece of equipment.I wish they were a little cheaper so I could get a couple more pairs and have more people working with them at the same time.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great as reviues
Easy to use and a plus to all the outher reviues. Ran into a piece of barb wire last fall clearing brushfor my daughter, put a nick in the cutter, broke my heart. Called fiskars got 2 new blades about $7/00 each friendly courtious service. I have been logging firewood this summer and these are about as handy as another hand. I dont know if I could break them but I have made them squeek like the log splitter ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cool, easy to use.
I grew up with a gas mower. It was big and smelly but did the job.I actually ordered a gas mower from Amazon but it took forever to come, so I switched to this mower since my lawn needed cutting. This mower works great, and you never smell like gasoline! Very easy to start and stop, and super easy to put together. It is also very lightweight - anyone can push it around. The toughest part is the electric cord, which you get used to pretty quickly - it's just like a vacuum. So any lawn with a lot of trees or anything above .25 acres is not going to be very workable. But for small lawns with few obstacles, it is pretty easy to use.

The bag is also very helpful and handy.

5-0 out of 5 stars 6 reasons to get this mower, and 2 reasons not to
I've had this mower since the previous Spring, and every time I'm out mowing, I'm thinking about the review that I planned to write here about it.So needless to say, I've thought a lot about this. Here are 6 reasons to get this lawnmower:

    1. It's cheap, about half the price that an equivalent gas mower would set you back. It's probably also a little bit cheaper to keep running, too.

    2. It's light.A lot of gas mowers are self-propelled because they're so heavy to push around, but at 36 pounds, this mower doesn't need to be self-propelled.You can move it back and forth with relative ease, much like a heavy vacuum cleaner.

    3. It's easy to start. No yanking the cord to get it going; just turn it on and start.Of course, you can get self-starting gas mowers these days as well, but they will set you back even more money.

    4. It's quiet.Well, okay, it's not THAT quiet.But it's quieter than most.

    5. It doesn't smell. The lawn doesn't smell like gas fumes after you're all done.

    6. It's better for the environment.Gas lawnmower engines expel 10 times the amount of pollution per gallon of gas than your automobile does.

Sounds great so far, right?Well, before you click that "Add to Shopping Cart" button, let me give you two thoughts that might have you think otherwise:

    1. The cord.Yep, there's no battery here, so you're attached to your house's electricity the entire time.In practice, I haven't found this too difficult to deal with; by starting near the outlet and snaking back and forth away from it, it's easy to manage. But, when I have to mow around my trees, it gets to be a bit of a chore. If I had a lot of tricky landscaping, or a particularly large yard, this would be enough to kill the deal.

(You can get electrical mowers with batteries, but they tend to be even more expensive than the gas mowers, and if you're choosing electric for environmental reasons, the lead in that battery is going to steer you even further away from that option.)

    2. The optional mulching bag is small. If I'm collecting my grass clippings, I'll often need to empty the bag 8-10 times during a typical run.It gets to be pretty annoying. As a result, I usually just let the clippings return to the lawn, which is better for the lawn anyway, even if it doesn't look as pretty.

And there you have it.Six reasons to buy it, and two not to.You'll have to make your own decision. As for myself, I've been very happy with my purchase thus far, and will probably make my next mower a Black and Decker electric model as well.

4-0 out of 5 stars Efficient eco-friendly machine
Wanted something eco-friendly, as I have a small space in California. This machine is easy to put together, runs smoothly and quietly, and is super easy to maneuver.Only drawback is the cord pulls out of the power socket quite a bit.Other than that, great workout if you handle the machine with one hand and lasso the extension cord with the other.Who knew mowing a lawn could be so much fun?!My neighbors just drive by and smile, as they foolishly pay their gardners.... ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Versatile! Compost Thursday, Boxes Friday
This aluminum cart made it easy for me to move a variety of things, from dirt to computer monitors. It cleans up easily, it folds, and it will not rust. I bought with intent to haul compost. It did a good job. Then I moved my business, so I washed off the cart, folded it up, and took it in to the office. The cart fits in elevators and through doors, and did a fine job of carrying all sorts of heavy things. When I first looked at these I thought the folding might be nice. Yes, it is.But also, the cart is strong, light, well-balanced... its aluminum construction gives it some nice extras. If you're looking for a cart, I recommend this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tipke Marine Utility Cart
I bought one of these carts about 6 years ago.I am an artist who participates in art and craft shows so I use it to haul my display, canopy and products. It has held up perfectly over the years. It's been the best cart I could have purchased. It folds up small enough to fit in the back of my Toyota Tercel hatchback with plenty of room for everything else.It hasn't rusted or dented.I barely even have to oil the 2 hinged elements (I think I've done that once or twice since purchase).I've loaded it up with sand bags and heavy umberella stands and it takes a lot of weight. All I do is add air to the tires about twice a year.I use it every weekend so it's seen a lot of use.I've had lots of other crafts people ask me where I got it.They all recognize how much better it is than a dolly that requires straps or bungee cords to secure everything in.This is a great price for it... I almost feel like getting another one, but mine is still fine so I don't need it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Comparison of 1300 and 2100 model
I purchased both the 1300 and 2100 model. The 2100 was...more expensive.Other then that the 2100 is painted blue, I was unable to find a difference in the two models. The only actual problem with either cart is that when loading the cart you have to balance some of the weight up near the legs because if you put all the weight by the wheel the cart will tip. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars How to stay warmer and dryer while snowblowing!
I bought this snow cab for my new Troy-bilt 8526 snowthrower and am very happy with it. I would not say it bolts right on but the manufacturer does supply plenty of assorted size mounting hardware that the average putz - myself included - should be able to adapt it to most units. Just dont expect it to install in minutes! It is a one size fits all after all! I was a little unsure about how this would work but the first time I used it and did not get snow in my face it was worth it. Snow doesnt really stick to the windows either so it is easy to see out of.

5-0 out of 5 stars a great product more useful than you know
I bought this before the snow flew thinking it was not going to be as effective as it has proven to be.
    On the assembly 3 stars:
Once reading the instructions thoroughly several times actual assembly proved fairly easy, my only problem was that the parts ziplock type bag was open somehow during shipping and all the parts were everywhere inside the box I carefully gathered all the nuts and bolts while carefully pulling the framing and cover out of the box for this part of the snow cab I have to give a 3 star since many parts could have been lost.
    On product usage 5 stars:
By the first real snow here in MI as I got behind my snowblower and proceeded to remove snow from my 260' drive I instantly realized the benefit of this snow cab. My winter jacket was dryer and my face was not frozen off, or the gap between my neck and scarf filled with snow and wind blowing back at me, and I could see much better too. I am amazed how well and how much more I enjoy using my snow blower with this device. I highly recommend this to anyone. After much shopping around I have also found this to be cheaper here at amazon $79.99 than anywhere else other stores want atleast $100.00 for this same item, so shop around if you must but I think you will find its the best price here.

5-0 out of 5 stars Shipped fast, Fit extremely well
Received this item extremely fast. As an universal fit item I was a tad apprehensive, however this item was easy to install and the instructions where flawless.I would recommend this product and vendor to anyone.

4-0 out of 5 stars Durable pads - horrible straps
Thee pads were great for me this past summer and fall.I used them to lay a cobblestone driveway. They really took a beating and the pads remained unscathed. The straps on the other hand are not so durable and one of the pads is near the end of its usefulness as the strap has almost seperated. To make matters worse, the neoprene does not breathe and your knees and backs of your legs will get sweaty in warm weather. All in all, a solid product that might not stand up to very hard use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Super-durable and Very Comfortable
That about sums it up - these pads work great for any work in the garden or around the house. My only quibble is that you'll get pretty hot underneath the neoprene straps when working outdoors in the Summer.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Pads For All Seasons
My wife and I bought a pair of these pads in the Spring of this year. We are carpenters and organic gardeners so we have gone through countless pads in the past: gel types, hard caps, neoprene, latex, etc. All of latter have never met our needs nor fulfilled our expectations.

The Fiskars Kneepads Plus are lightweight and truly do conform to our knees. We work them on hard concrete, slate, marble, rough gravel, and clay soils in total comfort. We are both right-kneed (prosaic license)and have worn out so many Carharts that we could start a second-hand store! Now our jeans last for much longer so these pads can actually save you bucks!

The Fiskars Plus pads also stay up and do not wrap around our knees. The padding causes very little sweating and dries quickly. The elastic and hook-loop fasteners have sagged a bit after so much use but my better half is also a seamstress and has re-sewn them to new condition.

It is a rainy Autumn morning as we now head to the garden to harvest our crops before the frost....Fiskars strapped in place. ... Read more
