Ryobi’s got a great idea here. They’ve created a line of interchangeable tool heads that use the same shaft, powered by a gas engine. This attachment-capable Ryobi trimmer sports the EZ-Link connector, which will let you change out the lower portion of the shaft to turn your tool into an edger, cultivator, blower, or hedge trimmer, in just seconds. The shaft slides into the connector with a solid click--no tools required. While Ryobi offers the same trimmer on a straight shaft, we particularly like this curved lower shaft --and your back likely will, too. Sweeeeet!
Have had this trimmer for 3 years...bought it to tackle our new larger yard that had been neglected by the previous owner - over grown to say the least!..the Ryobi is AWESOME! have never once had trouble starting this thing..and I don't do squat for carb maintenance...just put clean properly mixed gas in it and go..and this thing gets used - my neighbors can attest to that as it is quite loud...purchased the tree trimmer attachment as well..another thing of beauty...just keep an eye on the screw that holds the blade on and make sure it stays tight..luv it and am here buying one for my step father for X-mas!

I have had mine for 2 or 3 years now and it works just as good as when I first bought it.At first you need to run it some, to break in the engine, but then it works great!!!!I have two of them and I'm thinking of buying a third!!!!!!!!!!!

Really Bad Customer Service
I purchased my Yard-Man in Jan 2004.Mower worked fine until I hit a rock while mowing in November 2004.I took the mower to a Yard-Man authorized service center where I was told I needed a new blade hub (holds blade on to shaft) but that it was a simple repair.Long story short, it took 7 weeks to get this part!The owner of the repair shop told me MTD is notorious for their poor parts distribution.I made a complaint to customer service via their MTD website.My reply was a link to a FAQ section that explains not every part can be kept in stock and that some orders may take 14 days.Basically they blew me off.As this is my only recourse, I would advise not to buy any MTD product because of their poor customer service.

An unnecessary (and extremely aggravating) accessory
Purchased this rear gate with my cart, only to find that a) you need two people (at least) to install the gate on the cart, and b) if you *do* somehow manage to get it installed (which I never did), you certainly won't want to remove it any time soon, thus completely defeating the "folding" aspect of the cart.I kept the cart (which I like precisely *because* it folds up so well), but returned the gate for a refund.Tipke really needs to invest some R&D monies into engineering a full rear gate that actually *works* with this cart (I have some ideas, if they're interested). ... Look wierd, but work great.

THE WAY IT SHOULD BE
Ive had gas powered trimmers in the past...but no longer..And the pre wound replacement spools are great...although a little pricey they cut down on aggrevation..and make the job much easier

Don't find yourself strung out.
So what did you want to know? I started my trimming carrier with the Black & Decker Automatic Feed Spool (AFS). It is just plug and go. I prefer my trimmer string to come from Black & Decker. This way I will not come unraveled trying to use some cheap substitute. The spools last longer than expected. ryobi makes one of the best trimmes around today i've got one of the older trimmers when they first came out and it is still performing just fine. i love it. all you do is hit the primer 3 times and pull the cord and the attchments are great to i just love it so easy to take with you all my friends are always wanting to barrow it all the time. and there tools are great to.hope to here more great stories of ryobi fans ... northstar 5hp snowthrower
I ordered my blower from northern tool and the blower arrived within 2 weeks-
The shipping Co. damaged it during shipping, and so after a call to a northern tool rep., they shipped another from the manufacturing plant in N.C.. The manufacture date was the 13th Dec., and I received it on the 19th Dec 2003. Although it is not as fancy as other brands, the powerplant is IDENTICAL on virtually all other blowers. I used it about a week ago w/ 6 inches of wet snow and ran the transmission in 'hi' gear (has a 6 spd)and it ran quickly and flawlessly thru my yard, and all the neighbors'yards as well. Tilt the chute down slightly and it blows the snow across the street! After the 2 hr break-in, I changed the oil to MOBIL 1 full synthetic motor oil and boy does it purr!! It works great on wet heavy slush as well. 2 thumbs up!!

Northstar has a credibility problem
I have just finished a long conversation with a Northstar rep who after many delays had to tell me that none of the three snowblowers they had advertised that I was interested in,and are advertising now, were available, and had in fact been sold out since March. Good steel, strong efficient design
This is a first rate traditional hand tool with two improvements:serrations on one edge to stop vegetation from slipping toward the tip when cut, and leverage cams that make force at the blade nearly twice what it would be with the ancient unlevered design. Powerful saw
I already owned a 55 Rancher and the Husqvarna arborist chain saws, when I purchased this saw. It is a very powerful saw. The de-compression feature does make starting easier. It is a high quality saw with significant improvements over earlier models. The chain/bar tension control is much easier to adjust on my 18" 55. The 359 has a new metal chain guard (for safety when a chain jumps off of the bar). The metal guard has one drawback. I had a chain jump and it severly chaffed the chain (metal on metal) resulting in a damaged and therefore lost chain. The older design (with plastic) was less damaging to chains (but probably not as safe). Still like all Husqvarna saws, a reliable and powerful tool. ... Read more

Great sprinkler!
I have used mine now for quite awhile.It is so nice to be able to choose the pattern you want.The neighbors' basketball court is next to my fence and I used to soak it.No more!Highly recommend.

A high quality sprinkler
This sprinkler covers a fairly large area, is easily adjusted for width and range, and is well built. I've used one for a few seasons, and am ordering another. It does not leak, and has never clogged. It also has a very stable sled base.

It's especially useful for watering long, narrow side lots, or a row of planting beds. It's about two or three times the price of most oscillating sprinklers you'll find at the home center, but you get what you pay for. Gardena makes very high quality sprinklers.

Must be industrial sabotage...
No reputable company could possibly have offered a product of such inferior quality and intended to live by its reputation! On the second use, the plastic/aluminum clasp came apart and could not be fixed. The strap itself with its plastic adjustment is certainly worth far less than the $10.00 that I paid. It definitely should be padded, and I did not find it particularly effective in holding the trimmer at an appropriate angle. Wish I had read the other reviews before making my purchase!

I can't imagine paying for this...
Well, mine was included with my 875. The clasp bent open the first time I picked it up. After dealing with that for a while, I just tied it on. So let's just say you'll probably want a shoulder strap, but use any old thing you've got lying around before paying real money for this. It must be embarrassing working for Ryobi.

Harness snap didn't last 10 minutes.
As soon as I tightened the strap so it would support the weight of the trimmer, the swivel popped out of the housing. I reinserted it twice, but it immediately popped out. I want my money back! ... Read more
