Very Stable & Strong Step Ladder
With me on one side (6/4 250 lbs.) and my son on the other side (6/8 260 lbs.), the T7406 is as stable as can be.Since it easily holds the two of us, perhaps the rating should say "375 lb. per side".It doesn't rock, creak, or feel not-up-to, the task.All double-sided step-ladders will cost more and be heavier, than their single-sided counterparts.However, the flexibility of being able to use either side, or to safely support two people, is the major advantage of this ladder.Also, having a fiberglass frame, it won't transmit electricity.It's high-quality and designed to last a very long time under heavy use.It's comfortable to stand upon, as the treads are quite deep and heavily grooved to prevent slipping.This is one terrific step-ladder.

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO OWN ONE!?!?!
I have owned and worked on just about every ladder made, over many years, and I have to say, this has got to be one of the safest, most stable ladders on the market. It's a tad bit heavy, but well worth the extra lugging.

It does take a little to get used to, like I find myself debating as to which side to climb down when standing straddled over the top, and it is wider when folded up, using up more room in the construction trailer, but I plan to buy more over the years. I bought a 6 footer and plan to buy another along with two 8 footers. Very stable and works great to span scaffolding planks to. I highly recommend one, especially to any contractor.

AWESOME LADDDER
I recently purchased the eight foot double sided step laddder and would seriously recommend it to any one looking for a heavy duty ladder! I am a residental contracter and use it every day. Its works great for two guys to work off of and also strong enough to use with an aluminum walk plank. Great for the price
After using this spray gun with several different types of paints and stains, my only complaint is that the gasket is made of paper.If they were to use a good rubber gasket which wouldn't fall apart, I would give this gun a 5 star rating.This spray gun is so easy to use and clean that I can overlook the fact that the paper gasket ripped in half.I love it.

If it weren't for spitting globs of paint...
Sorry to be the wet blanket reviewer, but my Critter always spits at least one glob of paint (or stain or whatever) on the finished surface (usually more). Cleaning it doesn't help solve the problem. Thinning the paint doesn't solve it. You get excited during the painting because it looks like it's working, and then BLOP, it shoots a couple of big droplets of paint into the center of the work, so large that they won't flow out.I find it unuseable for anything that requires an even finish. It's moderately OK for stain, which spreads out and soaks in, but forget painting, unless you want it to look globby. I also own a real paint gun by Binks and there is just no comparison whatsoever in quality of finish. I wanted easy cleanup so badly that I purchased a product that doesn't work.

Excellent gun with one flaw...
The Critter gun is a superb choice for most small to medium jobs that would ordinarily require a spray can or brush.This gun works great for spraying finishes on woodwork, patio furniture, etc.Easy to use and clean up.I highly recommend it.

That said, now for my gripes.There is one design flaw that is particularly annoying.In their infinite wisdom, the folks at Critter decided to paint the frame of the gun.Rule number 1: paint does not adhere to base metal alloys.The awful bluish paint on the zinc-alloy gun flakes off and gets everywhere.Its adhesion is so poor you can literally scratch it off with your fingernail.It contaminates your paint no matter how careful you are.My white enamel became a nice off-blue pastel color thanks to this.When you wipe down the gun with any petroleum-based solvent, the paint will smear.My advice: before using, soak the gun ina water-based paint stripper to remove the paint.Paint guns should not be painted.I shouldn't have to tell them that, but here I am anyway.

Another nit to pick is that with a jar attached, the gun tends to tip over, especially when the jar is nearly empty.The gun could have been balanced better.Fortunately the gun has a hook to hang it from when you are not using it.

One other thing (though not the fault of Critter) - if you plan to shoot any solvent-based finish, be sure to get the Mason jars with the cork or fiber gaskets.The ones with the rubber seals will dissolve, leaving you with a sticky mess and contaminated finish.

Nevertheless, the gun works so well, I still gave it 4 stars.You just have to be aware of its flaws.

Great general purpose tool
I first became acquainted with this tool when I was beekeeping, where it is known as a "hive tool." Since I gave up beekeeping, I kept this tool and use it regularly as a good pry bar to remove moldings, pry apart joints, and remove the odd nail or two.

You can begin with the straight end, then move to the L end for more leverage. Carefully used, you can avoid collateral damage and denting the surrounding material. You can also use it to cut apart paint and finishes where you need to, for example on moldings and around windows.

You can also use it J-roller style to do some minor or small surface paint scraping or gunk removal.

Love at first rung
I'd previously purchased one of the Werner convertible ladders through my local home improvement megastore, but found that ladder bulky and heavy and hard to use, and took it back within the week.I'd read about Little Giants here on Amazon, but the price was daunting.

Two years later, after the acquisition of a new house with a 17' cathedral ceiling in the living room, I finally broke down and bought this ladder.It's like night and day from that Werner ladder.The operation is simple as could be - slap a big button on each hinge and the ladder folds, unfolds, or moves to lock closed.Pull one big friendly hook out on each side of one end, and extend, then put the hook into the hole at the end of a new rung.I got the ladder grip things that Amazon recommends with the ladder, and they help it feel a bit more secure in extension mode, but it's pretty darn good all on its own.The ladder is a little heavy (as a woman) at just under 40 pounds, but not oppressively so, and it's easy to carry due to good design.The included work platform took me a while to figure out (photos here on Amazon helped), but it's very sturdy and easy to use.

Already I've used the ladder in all sorts of configurations, and it's wonderful.I'm just sorry I didn't make the room in the budget to buy this two years ago!

5 Stars All Around
I own a window cleaning company and this is my 2nd Model 22. There is considerable structural difference in the Type 1A/1. The Type 1 is still a very good ladder for all household work. Understand all ladders have a characteristic flex and feel. Use them correctly. My crews felt very comfortable working with the Type1. I shipped the saver method and had it here in 3 days. Fast shipping, great product...
First, we ordered this and it arrived the next day.I did upgrade from super saver shippping due to the negative feedback I saw regarding the time to receive the product (I upgraded to the next level for $10, not Next Day Air.)We needed this ladder for home improvement work that we started this weekend, and could not afford a delay.

Second, this ladder comes with a work platform, which was a nice surprise.I thought that one of the reasons that the ladder was less expensive than the model on the infomercial was due to not having the platform.This is not the case.

Finally, as for the product, it is perfect.I spent 6+ hours on it yesterday, removing wallpaper and paint off of the walls over our stairway.Some have complained about the lower grade for this ladder, but I found that the ladder was quite stable.I am 180 pounds and didn't have a problem.It is extremely adaptable, and I am very happy that we downshifted to the lighter grade model, I have no regrets.This product has already paid for itself in one weekend of work and I'm sure that this product will pay us dividends for many years to come. ... Very fine, for your best projects, lasts long
When I first bought my Bosch 3727DVS, I bought a box of the popular grades; 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, and 320. The 100, 120, and 150 are the most frequently used.To tell you the truth, I rarely use the 320. Local home centers sell the 5" variety, so if you are enjoying the additional cutting surface of a 6 inch, this is one of the best places to stock up.
I just went through over 50 boards of 80+ inch cedar, in three grades, and I only used about 10 sheets all combined. That is about 3 for each grade. The advantage to quality paper, is that you can get in a groove with some consistency. Instead of having cheaper paper that gives you the new disc agressiveness, then quickly to the used paper smoothness, which may be a grade finer, and miss the deeper lines from the coarser grade of paper in the previous step. Additionally the backing paper is stiff enough to do the job. That way you don't wind up with a buggered edge on your sander. The 6 hole paper is nice for the dust free environment. I simply attach a 2 1/2" vac hose to the dust port on my Bosch, which is way smaller than that, so a lot of air escapes. The vacuum draw that leaks around the inlet, sucks up that last 1% of the dust coming off the paper. It is still recommended to wear a mask because the shop vacs only capture to a micron or so. So technically you have a vac system that is actually a mini-part of a micron, invisible dust manufacturing plant. Over time, even that is a consideration. A good respirator, not a paper mask is advisable. A fresh air system is even better.
I had a body shop for 20 years, and after using the cheaper paper on the random orbit sanders, and winding up with a floor full of used paper, I can attest to the savings of using quality, aluminum oxide paper. First of all I have to say that the reason why I happen to be writing this review is because I was on Amazon ordering another box of these sanding discs! There is no higher praise in my book than a return customer!

Now for the review: I have to agree with the other positive reviews and say that I have long been a fan of these Mirka sanding disks. I am a home woodworker whose projects range from DIY stuff around the house, to refinishing, to building fine furniture projects. I have been using these discs for years (in every grit from 80 to 220) and could not be more pleased with the smooth surfaces they produce with my rather inexpensive sander.

I completely agree with the assessment that although these are not the absolute best hook and loop discs on the market, they have performed every task I have asked of them. Overall, I would give this product an A- for quality/performance, and an A+ for value.

Good Quality, Excellent Value
I have purchased every grit of Mirka sanding disks from Amazon, and I find them to be good quality. The price per disc works out to be a great value if you purchase them in packs of 50.

I used these disks on my Bosch random-orbit sander. The hook-and-loop backing is strong and holds on through rough sanding. The aluminum oxide sanding material lasts for a good amount of time. I've used them on a variety of wood surfaces, and I have used them to remove paint, and they last long enough to take down a lot of material. I have bought other brands of sanding discs that do last longer, but the Mirka discs definitely hold up well.

The discs are packaged in a sturdy box with a cover, which makes it easy to dispense them as needed. Also, having them stored in a box keeps them clean, which helps the hook-and-loop function. This actually helps out a lot in the shop. Other brands come wrapped in plastic, and you have to find a container for them, or let them sit on a shelf and get full of sawdust. I appreciate this extra touch.

The paper stock is somewhat thin, but this does not really affect their use. Since they are stored in a box, they stay flat. Other brands, which are stored in bags, get curled up on the edges.

Bottom line: these are good quality sanding discs that last for a good amount of time, are a good value for the money, and are packaged in a convenient way. ... Read more

Good work out.
Very stable ladder.I'm 280lbs.Climbed this ladder 30ft and it felt like I was walking up stairs.It did't flex or budge at all.There was some one at the bottom supporting it.But be prepared for some lifting.The shipper stated 92lbs.It felt like 150lbs.The ladder works great you just need 2 strong people to get it up.

A Really Sturdy, Serious Ladder
If you are like me and want a long ladder that can get you anywhere you need to go on your house with security, this one does the trick.It's rugged and heavy, so you may want to have a helper for positioning it.This ladder should last you for a very long time.

One of the difficulties of purchasing a ladder like this lies in getting it home.Amazon makes that aspect easy.I placed my order and a few days later I had the ladder in my garage ready for use.

update of the stilts
I find the metric nuts and bolts are all standard. and the strap clamp has been improved, so that the strap can work better. I find the wingnut is produced by forging so that it will not loose. the spring is tested by 50 thousand times press.
I just think it is a good choice.

Not very happy
I find the stilt's structure comparable with what is sold at a higher price, but the accessory parts like the spring tensioner, nuts & bolts, and straps are inferior.The weld on the wingnuts snapped off the first time I tightened them; you don't end up saving any money by the time you pay for all these extra replacment parts and any expedited shipping.Better to go pay more locally!

Not user friendly at all. Bad design, poor instructions.
Be ready with a set of thin walled metric and standard sockets and wrenches. The instructions on these stilts leave you completely in the dark on assembly. There are no clear pictures of how to properly assemble the product. The user is left guessing if the stilts are properly assembled. The manual is also very poor in instructions for first time users. The most surprising part is the hardware is both metric and standard on the same product. I don't understand why any manufacturer would mix both metric and standard nuts and bolts on one product. I mean, pick one! You must also have a thin walled socket set to assemble them. The straps are a pain to adjust and don't do a good job of securing you in place. Not recommended. ... Read more

Good scaffold up to 3 feet
This is a good medium-duty portable scaffold.It comes pre-assembled, with you only needing to set the platforms in place, and tighten the locking knobs.It appears well constructed, and the platforms themselves are extremely strong.However, the scaffold suffers a bit from a slight lack of lateral stability.There are no braces in the front (it is open), and no diagonal braces in the back.This means the welds provide the lateral stability, which is adequate at all heights except for the very top.This may not be an issue for lighter people than myself (I weigh 290).The scaffold is rated to 400 lbs, so even my weight should not be an issue.The castors are large, lock easily, and roll easily.Overall, this is a good scaffold, and I would buy it again.With a little ingenuity, you could probably fashion up some type of diagonal brace for the back, which would make it very stable when the platforms are on the top rungs.

Nice, but there is one thing you should know
I bought this scaffold largely based on the reviews and it does fold well & have nice features. One point I would differ on with the other reviews, I would not call this scaffolding light weight! Check out the shipping weight on this before you buy.

The fact is the folding frame is light but the planks are more weight then I wanted to add to the many tools I already carry around. I decided to keep it because I'm sure I'll find occasions to use it but I also had to consider the 95lb shipping cost to return it.

Don't Think Twice
Great tool, I bought it specifically for hanging drywall ceilings solo. It sets up in no time, is light and well made. It is small enough to get into small rooms. I would recommend this staging to anyone.

The best tool in my arsenal
Being a general contractor, I use my tools and equipment everyday. this has got to be the best scaffold I've owned. I have 2 Perry scaffolds, and they hardly ever come out unless I need to stack a couple for high work.

This thing is great.. It's small enough to get in any office or room without taking apart, or scratching up a new $500 Mahogany door. The planks are adjustable to different heights, and when you done and want to load all your tools up and roll them into a service elevator or whatever its GREAT !! Fits into the tightest places

The scaffold ladders are at just the right height to lay a piece of lumber or drywall rip and cut on top of it.

I am a contractor in New Orleans. I do alot of trim work and a little painting. I have used home made scaffolding and ladders to work over head for last 4 years. Six months ago I purchased the CB-4U and it has changed my life. It is easy to use with just one person and sturdy enough to use with three people. I'm a lumber jack, and I'm OK...
Working solo I used one 2601Q to raise a 26ft long by 9 foot tall 2X6 wall with little problem. Jack tends to bind if the 2x4 is not smooth, and then the rachet requires persuasion using hammer taps.

Outstanding ladder to have available
I have this 2-story model and the 3-story model.I have already installed the mounting plate (optional).I had two different types of escape ladders and returned them both when I got this one.They cost more and were no where near the ease or quality.Don't listen to the first reviewer. This person must be refering to a different product. Key note:You don't have to install the mount.I am going to purchase another one of these for another room!

Not a Portable Fire Escape Ladder
Anyone who thinks this is a portable ladder is wrong. It requires installation. Once you open it and try to replace it in the box see how excited you are about this product. If you want to feel a sense of safety try another type of ladder. A less expensive and light ladder is only a value if you can use it quickly in an emergency.

Very nice product to work with.Very sturdy and you can set it to exactly the height you want it to.My only problem is that it takes two people to set it up, or to adjust the height.

Baker type scaffolding is very conveinient
Carry in as small as a car or mini van because very compact when flat, one person set up in 3 minutes. Rolls through man doors when set up. It's just all around conveinient to use for relatively low appplications, but can stack up to 3 high when out riggers are used(maximum 18' tall).
