A little weak.
If you really are going to drill alot of 1/2 holes and larger get a drill with more amperage. This drill looks like the big ones, but it's a pussy cat.

Versatile, compact and cost effective!
This tool does everything right; it's relatively light and small, yet packs a serious punch!I've used it to accurately knock out cracked bathroom tile fixtures in the hammer-only mode to hammer-drilling holes for gas lines for gas fireplaces.It comes with a very nice carrying case that holds practically everything I need for most jobs; safety glasses, earplugs, a large assortment of drill bits and demo tools.Although I have an assortment of rotary hammers large and small, this one is my favorite for medium size holes and chipping.I highly recommend this tool for anyone in the market for a lightweight 3 mode rotary hammer.

Great tool
I had a competitor's rotary hammer which I did not really care for. I was looking for a tool such as this from Porter-Cable for some time. It finally became available. The other tool was working, so no real good justificationfor buying a new Porter-Cable SDS. Well The 'other' tool ended up missing.I needed a tool right away.

I cant believe I'm the first to review this product, Milwaukee
does not have popularity in this category yet but look out they soon will.

I have used this roto hammer for over a year now and its performance is flawless, the only reason I gave it a 4 star is that it lacks a "lock on" switch for hammer only mode, not a big deal for some but for me yes.

This little dog can break 3 inch slab no prob, it drills 1-9/16
holes all day long, it diggs holes in rock hard ground, it scrapes 40 year old linoleun tiles of the floor, it removes any type of floor tile with ease, and many more tasks.

The weight and balance of the tool is phenominal almost zero vibration is generated to your hands. This tool is iron tough
and I would put it against the Bosch and Hitachi for durability

If you have to get into concrete or masonry, you have to get this tool into your arsenal. Chip out in hammer-only mode; drill into wood or metal with the rotation mode; drill and drive into concrete and masonry with the hammer drill mode--the 7.5 amp motor never even flinches. I was impressed by the quality of the construction.It doesn't have the wobbly wheels I've seen on some hand trucks.The only reason I didn't give it a 5, is because I bought it to use as a garden cart, thinking the holders on the back would be perfect for small garden tools.That proved to be true, however it was not clear from the picture or the description that there is a metal post that extend up in the center of the portion that would normally be slid under the edge of a piece of furniture.Because I didn't get it to move furntiure, it was easy enough to overcome this particular feature, but it would have been nice to know before I bought it. ...
