Great For Woodworking Too
I'm into woodworking. These Bahco scrapers come in handy. Great for getting into corners to remove glue squeeze out after it has hardened. The 1" model has a triangulated blade with three sharpened edges. (So you can spin it around to change the outer edge to a fresh side) So it has a nice point to it for getting into corners without having to rub the sides of your project. I cut a kerf of 3/4" to make a crosscut miter sled, for the runner, and needed to clean up the bottom. I turned the scraper to an angle, and it cleaned it up beautifully.
I bought the 2 1/2" as well. It acts like a cabinet scraper, and you don't have to resharpen it much. If you need to take a hair off of a surface, clean it up remove something from the surface it is a handy tool. The large plastic handle makes it easy to hold. Overall does a very nice job. I recommend the 1" and the 2 or 2 1/2" as well.

The ONLY paint scraper to buy
Yes, it costs twice what an ordinary steel scraper costs- but it's worth a hundred ordinary scapers.

I'm just finishing up what became a two year remodeling project, and I can't begin to recount all the times I or someone else used this tool to prep a surface. We scraped hundreds of feet of molding, flooring, trim and just about every imaginable flat surface. The carbide blade seems to just peel paint off a flat surface without the need for any solvents or strippers, and it lasts a long time- I think I flipped the blade once after a year of heavy use.

It cuts lightly, with just a little pressure, or deeply if you lean on it. You can gently level a pain run or drip with it, or you can take off thick layers of ancient paint.

I actually have a complete set of three Sandvik scrapers in 1", 2" and 2-1/2" widths and I wouldn't part with any of them. ... Read more

It does what they say it will do...
My wife and I had some wallpaper and some border to strip so that we could repaint a bedroom and bath.In combination with a spray-on gel stripper, I used this scoring tool to help with the job.I found that it does a great job of easily scoring the paper and the resulting holes do allow the stripper gel to penetrate better.If I had anything negative to say it is that in a lot of cases this is unnecessary.By doing side by side tests, I was able to get as good of results by spraying the stripper onto un-scored border as I did when using the "paper tiger."In fact, at times the scored paper was more work to remove because it tore into smaller pieces during removal.

I think this tool will be great for removing heavy/commercial wallpaper or wallpaper that has been painted over, but I also think that it is overkill for an awful lot of home use situations... ... Read more

o.k I think I have found the most versitile scraper on the market it has a bombproof carbon blade no replacement needed on this bad boy and it is easy to control meaning it will not dig in or gouge your work on soft stuff like drywall. A MUST HAVE TOOL
You gotta have one of these, it can be used for so many things.Although you may not use it every day it's just one of those little things you WILL need eventually.This is a good quality tool that's well made and will last a long time.The laquer coating has been washed,scrubbed off my tool and when I left some drywall compound on it over night it rusted (seemed strange to me too.)so be aware of that.Two thunbs up on this one.
