Very Good Product
I was a little reluctant to order this item, because no one had written a review of it.So let me tell you: I've used at a little already, and this seems to be a very well-designed, well-manufactured product..It cross-cuts, rips, or diagonal-cuts shingles easily; has very good built-in measuring scales that are easy to use; is very sharp and cuts the shingles very easily.I forgot to say it's very light to carry, too.

There's another product on Amazon that is priced about $200 higher.Maybe that one is even easier to use, or more durable.If you had to make lots and lots of diagonal cuts for valleys, perhaps you'd enjoy the other one.I don't know.But this one seems to me like a very, very good product - I'm really enjoying using it - and its hard for me to imagine needing anything more or different. ... Cuts heavy leather like butter
I've got a pair I've been using for a year to cut 5-6oz leather.These are great because they easily make a nice, clean cut in my leather, and the handle design really makes cutting heavy material less stressful on my wrist and fingers.And after a year of extremely heavy and frequent use, they're still almost as sharp as the first day I got them.I would rate them a 5 if they find a way to keep the closure latch from catching on stiff material as it is cut, but that is a minor issue.

Chinese garbage
I just got my Qual-Craft shingle remover and tried it for the first time today. One would think that the name should imply quality, but it certainly does not.

We were removing cedar shingles and, after removing less than two square, gave up on using this tool. The problem is that this Chinese-made tool is constructed of such soft metal that we were constantly having to bend it back into shape.

In all fairness, the design of this tool is good if they would make it out of the same steel as pry bars are made of. But, until they do, don't waste your money on buying this product. I wish I hadn't. It's little more than Chinese garbage. ... Read more

Great all purpose garden tool
I have purchased these shears twice, lost my first pair and had to get another! Great tool and good for most any garden chore.

Fiskars 7" Take-Apart Shears-The Absolute Best!!
These ARE the best pair of shears I have ever used!I'm not a gardener or handyman type; what I am is a 15 year paramedic/firefighter who has gone through three pairs of Fiskars. (I have never had a pair destroyed, I have merely lost them). While most of my co-workers continue to use the inadequate "EMT" scissors out on the market, I have committed myself to the Fiskars.
