Great Storage System
The Hyloft is perfect for us, as we have a high ceiling in the garage and lots of things we want to save.I ordered 2 systems thru Amazon and initially tried to install them.I watched the video yet found the studs to be very difficult to locate.

Via the Hyloft website, I found a local operation to install them.The company, however, needs to make money as well and required me to have at least 4 units to install versus the 2 I bought here.I completely understood, especially given the drive time and fuel costs.

The Hyloft system itself is a great way to expand your storage and provide an archival system for things you just can't throw away.

I'm very happy I worked through an expert company who installs these daily.It took them less than 2 hours to install 4.They had to drill thru steel to access the wood stud, which was even hard for them.They Hylofts are now perfectly aligned along the ceiling which looks very clean.The extra cost was well worth it.

THESE ARE THE BEST!
I just recently gutted my garage and played my own version of Clean Sweep. Couldn't have done it without these. We installed 3 and it took several hours but WELL WORTH IT! Highly recommended, you'll be more than pleased!

Great Space Saver!!

Great space saver
I have a small garage, and did not have enough space to store my 2 bikes.I recently purchased 2 of these, and problem solved.

This is a great product!My only advice to the manufacturer / installer would be to pre-drill a pilot hole for the wood screws because the phillips head stripped out too easy.I ended up getting some longer wood screws with a flat head (instead of phillips) and that worked better.

But overall, installation was a snap, and I am very satisfied with this product!

Great product
Using one workbench kit and two sets of shelf links I reorganized my entire garage in one weekend.

Total cost about $100 for the components plus $300 for the wood - great deal.

I'm ordering more shelflinks right away for my workshop.

Very solid and sturdy.Fairly easy to build as well.Be ready to spend an additional $40 to $100 for lumber depending on quality and design.Still a good deal for a solid workbench.I built mine to be 4' by 8' and used 3/4 inch BC plywood for work surface.It's big but had to make minimal cuts to lumber.If you have the room, your workbench can never be too big.

Poor Quality
Expect to have problems with assembly.Hardware is of poor quality.I always seem to have more problems with items that use hex wrenches to assemble. This item is not well designed and the fit is poor.

In the end, it was difficult to put together.Once done, the item appears to be just solid enough to do the job.

Missing in Action
I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that my box arrived today without the hardware.How many Amazon customers have to complain about this before something is done?

Quality Control...
I received my Racor PBS-2R bike rack today and was quite disappointed the minute that I opened the box. The rack was shipped in its original packaging and the box was mildly beat up. Most of the hardware was floating around in the box not in the bags like they should have been. Most of the pieces were scratched as well.
Once I started putting it together I realized that I had two left U's. Flipping over one of the U's works, but the screws will no longer be recessed like they should be.It works, but I am not the only person to have this problem. There are other people who have complained about the same problem here on Amazon.After reading the other reviews I decided against ordering two, and ordered only one to be safe. I am glad I did. 5 shelf storage unit
I just purchased a second unit. I went together easily. I did not have any problems with assembly and did not receive any cuts while assembling it bare handed.

not a good buy
Very wobbly, and sharp edges on the edges of the shelves.I cut myself bad enough to require stitches on the underside of the shelf.I don't recommend.

Only holds one bike, doesn't stand up straight.
1. The packaging was poor and the base was badly scratched when I received it.

2. I'm 6'2" and I have two tall bikes.The rack is too short for both of them.With the top bracket at the highest setting, the bottom bike won't fit below it.I paid a welder $30 to change the angle of the top bracket so that it goes up 45 degrees.Now there is room for the second bike.Now the rack costs $80.

3. The joints in the rack are wobbly, so my rack tilts to the right about 5 degrees.I think it's ugly.I'm going to screw the top of the rack into the wall to fix this.That kinda defeats the purpose of a "gravity" rack.

Now that I've got it fixed up, it does what it's supposed to.Kind of a pain but it works, and it's still pretty cheap at $80.

It works and it's a deal
like other reviewers my box arrived a bit beat up, i was half expecting to find parts missing. unlike others i had no problem assembling it and it seems very sturdy. for the price you aren't going to find a better deal.

i've got way too many bikes in too small of an apartment. the lower half seems a bit useless (all my bikes are pretty big though). it's not tall enough to get the bottom bike off the floor so you can't store anything there. i'm thinking about removing the lower arms and just leaning a couple of bikes there. it's already getting my apartment into shape.

Just what I wanted!
I've been wanting a bike rack like this for years. I've tried products that seemed similar, and they just didn't work for me. This one's exactly what I was looking for.

APPEARANCE
The rack arrived with no scratches. This was a surprise, given that two of the sections that make up the vertical post were loose in the manufacturer's box, and the box was a bit battered.

The rack itself looks great in my garage.

STABILITY
When positioned against (or near) a wall, the rack sways mildly when a bike is removed or replaced. The base is big enough and the overall design is such that removing the bottom bike (gently) doesn't seem to cause the whole thing to fall over--as long as the wall is there for backup. The manufacturer recommends anchoring the rack to the wall and includes hardware for this purpose.

ASSEMBLY
The central post is delivered in three sections: The base is the curved"T" that you can see in the picture on the Amazon site. The other two sections form the vertical tube.

These main sections fit very tightly together. As far as I'm concerned, this makes the whole thing more internally stable. To assemble the central post, I relied on a many squirts from my trusty can of WD-40, some wiggling, gravity, and patience. Without all that, I would've been stuck (and the sections would've been too).

The four arms that hold the two bikes attach into slots on either side of the vertical tube. I used a small block of wood to knock the arms in and out of the slots (I don't have a mallet, and it seemed like a hammer would dent/scratch the finish). Each bike is held by resting the top tube in cradles (at the end of each arm). The cradles easily rotate as needed to adapt to the angle of the top tube. Nice touch.

It definitely took some effort to put this rack together. However, I'm pleased with the results so far. It really frees up space! Taking it apart will be an interesting challenge some day.

Is it worth the price? Well... Even with the Amazon price, it seems a bit more expensive than other garage-quality bike racks. However, over the years I've spent more in total on other racks that didn't work out for me at all. This one is just what I wanted! ... Read more

absolutely love it!
I got this for hauling different boxed items to Bazaar's and such and absolutely love it! It is so handy and can actually hold alot more than what some people think. I also use it to haul my groceries in from the car to house! I have put 4 extra large boxes on it and have had no problem with it. I did find though that you should put the turning wheels on the back instead of front. Makes it more manageable. Only thing I really wish was the handle was taller. Other than this, for the price you simply cannot go wrong!

Use it all the time
We can't believe how many times we use this.I have had it for about a year and I use it for everything.From the wood pile to the house.For groceries to the house. We would be lost without this product.I will definitly buy it again because I fear we may wear the poor thing out.How about one that hold more weight.

Handy cart
We use it to cart around books and heavy items.This cart is a great back saver.Works well.

Cart functions best on flat surfaces (wheels are too small to use on gravel or un-even surfaces).It is fairly maneuverable, but if it had 4 swivel wheels would work better.The fold down handle might make it possible to store easily in a closet, although we don't, and it doesn't seem to be how most people would use the item.

excellent idea - poor execution
The main bar of the hitch hand is heavy steel, fitting into a 2" receiver and with a socket welded to the other end. This socket receives a lighter guage steel T-bar into which go the side extensions. Unfortunately, the socket on the one I received was not welded straight - it was off enough that the T-bar, when attached, was off from level nearly 1 inch over its approx. 3' length. In addition, there were no instructions (assembly is intuitive enough, though), and the very torn cardboard packaging was inadequate for such a heavy item. The one I received new was scratched up and rusted in places. There is barely enough height adjustment to reach the bed height of a 2001 Chevy 1500 Z-71(not HD). This one gets returned.

Hitch Hand helps to haul extra long cargo
I purchased a Hitch Hand cargo hauler for my husband and he has found many helpful uses for the devise.From time to time needed to haul deck lumber to job sites and it allowed him to transport it safetly in the bed of his pick up.He loves it!Every contractor should have one!!

Welded wrong, parts missing, holes drilled in wrong place
This item should have been given away for free, because it's not worth even a dollar of your money.
The top hooks were welded in the wrong place, the holes for the bottom basket were drilled too high, so items in the bottom net rest inside the basket.
3 nuts were missing.
Avoid this product and this company!

Outstanding Quality!!!
The rack took about 45 minutes to assemble. Once assembled it is easily removable in under ten. Extremely strong. All parts are of the highest quality. Extremely satified with this rack.

So you'd like a smart value for money Rack
Very well packaged, took a bit longer than 45 mins, but what quality, I've not seen anything this good for a while, believe me. Yes I bought the T-Rac system 22900 Premium for full sized trucks and it fits a dream. I found it to be extremely robust and pretty damn good looking too. Hey! Guess what ? I only got a Chevy S10 Extended cab with a 6' bed. Now I did order this one by mistake but after looking at the details very closely, I thought to myself, " If I trade up to a full sized truck next year, I won't have to buy one for a full sized truck" if I can get this one to fit safely and hold loads properly. I carried 1 - 2" x 12" x 16'.2 - 2" x 4" x 16'.4 - 4" x 4" x 10' and a 25' entending ladder. The Bed of the truck (S10) contained various other large bits of lumber. Drive it carefully and it never gave me any scary moments. The T-Rac was as sound as a rock. Moral of the story, if you got an S10 and are thinking of trading up to full sized truck later, don't buy the compact version, this baby has got muscles like you've not seen before. One point, It would have been nice if T-Rac had put in a stainless Allen key (Hex). Us Brits living in America don't realise we've been born. Nice rack, baby!
Purchased this rack from Amazon about a month ago. I'm into house renovations but only at a do-it-yourself level. However, the rack is built very solid so I'm sure it would hold up to a full time contractor's abuse. Very easy to install. I have yet to uninstall it but it too looks simple. The only thing I worry about is the rack getting stolen. I use cables to lock it to the truck tie downs. I purchased the size that fits compact trucks. The truck I installed it on is a Toyota Tacoma.

Delivery took only 2 days even though the expected time was 7 days. I have had only good experiences with Amazon. Their price on this item was equal or less than other online quotes. Amazon's return policy is by far the best. I'll even pay a little extra just to do business with Amazon.

I use this box as a supplement to a Weathergaurd crossbox (concrete tools in crossbox). It is big enough to keep my form carpenters tools (bags, recip. saw w/case, Skil saw, cords, drills, etc.) and still have a little room in the bed of a Ford Ranger. It is heavy-built and should last for years. My only gripe is that the finish is not very durable. Mine is less than 6 months old and is starting to develop surface rust. I like having a lockable box that can be easily removed from the truck and bolted to the floor of a tool van or put on wheels for longer commercial jobs, though. Paint can be replaced. Great product, Great value!!!
First of all, this shelf system is very easy to put together-- I bought 3 of them to organize my messy storage room in the basement and had them all put together in 30-40 minutes. Once put together, I was extremely impressed with the strength of the units-- I have them fully loaded and they are very sturdy. I have seen similar units at much higher prices and would highly recommend these as a great product value.

No more sagging shelves
When organizing my basement this spring, I bought one of these units. It beats the so-called heavy duty metal shelved unit in my garage which buckled. It also beats the plastic quick together unit from Home Depot which had a cracked leg during assembly. These shelves are adjustable-height, giving flexibility for varying height storage cartons. Unlike open grate shelves, things will not drop through. And neither metal nor wood will break when it's below freezing. One downside: because of the particle board, it was heavy to get in/out of the car. I thought assembly was straightforward and it went together pretty easily, with the shelving added after assembly and location adjustments. Yes, a few tabs did bend (they also unbend) and you have to check that all tabs are "caught" into the shelf, but these were not significant problems at all. I have bought five more.

sturdy but a pain
The first one of these took for ever to put together and took 2 of us. once we got the hang of it (we are both women) we were able to put the rest together in about 20 mins a piece. 2nd person a definite help or you must be very agile.
