Unless I am mistaken, this is not a gutter crimper, but a tool used to nip vinyl siding 'J' channel to fit around windows and doors. Suits the needs of the do-it-yourselfer
I have had this tool for about 5 years now and have used it to re-wire my house and garage.The strippers still work flawlessly even after years of use.The wire cutter, on the other hand, has got rather chewed up and does not cut wire cleanly and I usually have to use the cutter on my pliers to handle this task.Still, this tool represents a good value for the buck, and I have not yet felt the need to shop for a replacement.

Useful but imperfect and expensive
The shape makes stripping wires in close quarters easier, but the tool must be set to the gauge and locked with a knurled locknut. The real fault with this particular product is the jagged edges of the v grooves and the not quite tight hinge rivet. Together they have the effect of nicking the conductor almost every time, no matter how carefully one adjusts the tool. I had expected much better workmanship for the price.
