    Editorial Review

If you're looking for a quick, easy and reliable way to carry tools and small parts on the job, the Bucket Boss Super Chute is a good choice. Six large interior compartments will keep your small parts (nails, brads, screws, etc.) organized, while 12 outside pockets allow you to carry just the small tools you need to get the job done. The bag is made of rugged, 600 denier fabric that stands up to the rigors of any work site. It's strung with parachute cord, so it automatically cinches closed when lifted off the ground. And it's designed to stack three or four deep in a five-gallon bucket, for easy transportation. A flat bottom protects against accidental spills and allows the bag to rest comfortably on any work surface, keeping everything handy and safe.--Carl Thress ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars More useful than you'd think
I have a bunch of these bags, as well as the older bags with no external pockets. The older style is a little easier to close, but the new ones are thicker material, so I think they'll last longer. I don't use the exterior pockets (yet?).

My workbench went from a disorganized collection of cardboard boxes to a handful of parachute bags - now I can find hardware faster and get back to work. They also save much time and aggravation when packing my truck and tools for a job - I know I have all my hardware with me.

It's a good product at a great price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super useful
I have a number of the original Bucket Boss chutes, so when I saw this unit with the external pockers- a natural extension of the idea- I picked up a couple at the local home store.

I'm not a builder, but I've worked with crews on my house and done a fair bit of repair and addition of small built-ins. Like anyone who's done this sort of work, I have accumulated large amounts of screws, nails, wirenuts and other hardware in various sizes that I need a handy way to carry. Three or four of these (depending on what's in 'em) will fit in a joint compound bucket and provide an excellent way to organize and carry small parts.

I've got two filled with different sizes of deck screws, one with biscuits for the biscuit joiner, one with wire nuts, cable staples and other electrical items, one with nails and a few more with different screws, nuts, washers, screen door hardware, fuses, and other things I can't even remember. It's a great system.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Bucket Boss System really gets the job done
The best way to get into the Bucket Boss Super Chutes is to explain it is part of a system. The super chutes handles the misc parts. The other part of the system is the Bucket Boss 56, which handles the tools. Each one, can also be used to do a little of the other.
Super Chutes is great. I no longer find myself looking for that box of screws, or having to run back out to get things out of the vehicle. Also, if I am low on something, it is immediately apparent. The material, it is made out of, is super durable, and I am sure it will last, for a long, long time. Pick up one or more of these, and a 56 Organizer for your tools. The organization will pay for itself in no time. Get the Boss and watch your productivity zoom! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value for the price
I bought this chest for my blade collection. It arrived in great shape and on time. The finish and hardware are in excellent shape.I'm very happy with it and it displays beautifully.I would highly recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars good quality for the money
I bought one of these about four years ago, and now I am going to buy another because I have filled the first one up.For $50 I was pleased with its quality and had none of the issues other reviewers have had.Mine arrived in good condition ( it made it to a remote Alaska island intact)and has held up well to the abuses a two year old can 'throw' at it.I would love to see them come out with one with slightly deeper drawers.Thats about the only thing I can fault.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Even Worth $50
Read the reviews for the discontinued chest -- all applies here. This is a cheap, shoddily constructed fiberboard chest which arrived with a crushed corner, separation of one side, and drawer bottoms that look like little more than cardboard with green felt flocked on.One of the front and one of the back hinges were installed crooked, and I didn't need a laser to see that.

Don't buy this, and if you do, do what I did -- return it the next day. This isn't worthy of Amazon, unless they want to sell it as "seconds merchandise" for $5-10, including shipping.

    Editorial Review

Constructed of durable, rip-proof fabric, the new 56-pocket organizer from Bucket Boss improves on what was already a great idea. Unlike the toolboxes of old, the Bucket Boss organizer stores tools where they're visible and easy to access. And, with 38 exterior pockets and 18 more on the inside, the Bucket Boss really does have a place for just about everything. We've loaded ours down with wrenches, handsaws, screwdrivers, hammers, pry bars, pencils, utility knives, pliers, and drill bit sets. There's even a padded pocket for your cordless drill. We quickly discovered, however, that depending on how you load it, the Bucket Boss can get a little top-heavy. After ours tipped over in the back of our truck, we reloaded it with our hammerheads down, and it hasn't tipped since. We recommend the Bucket Boss 56 for remodelers, carpenters, electricians, repair people, or any other professional who brings a lot of hand tools to the job; it also makes the perfect tool kit for do-it-yourselfers moving through the house from room to room and project to project. --Jon Groebner ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Cheap and handy until you truck it around
and it dumps your kit all over the truck bed. The Bucket Boss is a handy organizer for householders and weekenders, but a stout metal toolbox (e.g: Kennedy) or canvas bag (e.g: Gatemouth) or instrument case (e.g: Platt) will be more useful for most everyday workmen.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Get a handle...it holds a lot
Great layout, plenty of pockets for everything you need for the do it yourselfer or tradesmen. I have probably 50lbs of tools in the bucket and still have room for more. One suggestion is a handle for the bucket. Take some foam (like the stuff in bicycle pads) and cut it to length then zip tie both ends and cover with duct tape. I would give it 5 stars if it had a second tape ring and a second hammer loop and a cover.

5-0 out of 5 stars Holds Everything I Need
No, the bucket is not included, but I had a stack of them to get rid of anyway. This thing holds just about anything I can think of, to the point that I can hardly carry it.The only suggestion I have is that some of the outside pockets could be deeper, but for under $20, what do you want? It's made of tough material as well and I expect it will last a very long time. ... Editorial Review

There’s a lot to like here. Super padding won’t cut into your shoulders and the X design distributes your gear’s weight evenly, taking the strain off your back. Everything about it is quality, from the fabric to the heavy-duty hardware and the tough straps. We like that left-handers can arrange the bags to suit them, and best of all, we didn’t get gored in the gut by protruding tools when bending over, thanks to side-hanging bags. Now, those side-hanging bags bumps the hammer ring to the back, and we do think the rear-hanging hammer would take some getting used to, but the side bags are worth it. We’d sure like to see Bucket Boss build a cell-phone compartment into the design, but aside from that, there’s nothing we’d change. If you’ve been clipping suspenders to a standard tool belt, stop and try this on for size. We’re sold on it.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Junk
I've had this belt for not to long, and already have had to replace the belt because all the plastic buckles (of which there are a quite a few) have broken. Now I have a halfway serviceable belt I have to tie on every day.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable with more pockets than I can use
I ordered this because I kept putting suspenders on my belts but since they were attached to the belt and not the bag the bags had a tendency to sag.Double belt system.Fat padded belt with the narrow bag holding belt.I tried to connect my suspenders to the bags but they wouldn't hold. Also my old bags where leather and heavy. When it rains they got really heavy and it took a while to dry.

I was hesitent to order these because I couldn't tell how many pockets it had but according to the box it has 29.It seems like more than that to me.It has so many pockets at first I thought it might have to many.Since I'm not using most of them they just stay closed and it isn't an issue.

Suspenders;I don't think I've worn a more comfortable set of suspenders. The picture doesn't show it but it has a chest strap that keep the suspenders in place. It took me a couple of days to get them broke in and then get the suspenders ajusted just the way I like but I'm very happy with them now. We'll just have to wait and see how I like them come summer when I'm getting them sweaty.

Since I replaced my leather ones I hardly notice the weight of these. The only problem I've encountered so far is the bags don't seem to stay in one place. Not a big deal to me.I will probably connect them to the belt with a pin of some sort if it becomes to much of an issue. Also the suspenders are attached directly to the bags so the bags are always at the same height and all the weight is supported on the suspenders rather than my hips.Since I'm very skinny I used to have to sinch my belt up so tight it hurt my hips after a long day.

I don't know about the durability but for the amount of money I spent so far it has been some of the best money I've spent on construction. My coworkers are all waiting to see how they hold up but most are planning on getting these if they need new bags.I would have paid this much for the suspenders alone.

Update.Three months later. These haven't held up as I hoped they would. The belt was so long that I had to run it through the loop of the bag and it was always coming out and it was wearing a hole in the bag.I put some duct tape on the bag and cut off the excess belt and the problem has stopped. All the high use pockets are showing clear wear.If I put to much weight on one side the bags sag to that side.Minor inconvience. My biggest complaint has to be the hammer holder.I tried to move it up but then it pulls the suspenders down, if I leave it down, the hammer bangs the back of my leg.Shorter hammer will take care of that.I never felt the need to pin the bags in place and I'm about to order two more sets of these bags, a back up for me, and one for one of my coworkers. All of the plastic buckles still work right, and I have a non flip phone and there is a pocket way in back that it fits in perfect. To bad I can't hear it very well back there.I added a cell phone holder to the shoulder strap and I can now hear it ring and it doesn't get in the way.

Bottom line.Best all around utility I've found in bags.Like to see a tape measure holder, and a different color would be nice.I can handle the wear for the price I paid.

3-0 out of 5 stars good but not great
I have been in the trades for over 40 years, and used many tool belts. This belt is more for Western framers than Eastern, the whole debate, worm drive vs, sidewinder saws etc. If you are not used to a rear hammer holder, you will find it hard to get used to. The bags hang on your side, and not the front. These are the things I like because it makes it easy to bend over and not get pinched in the gut, by quick squares, tapes, racks of 16 sinkers, etc. This is a great belt to see if you like the side bag system, shoulder harness, rear hammer, only $40. Good bags cost $100 to $200 for any type, so not much lost is you don't like. The reason for the 3 stars, the hammer holder broke the first week, and the x brace across the back moves during the day which pulls the bags around to the rear.I reposition everthing at lunch and start again, it's a pain. ... A simple idea becomes a great product. Fill up four of these babies with your fasteners, hardware, fittings, whatever, and you’ve got everything you need right at hand without fumbling through bags or fooling around with flimsy cardboard boxes. The compartments are generous, the plastic is rugged, and all you need is a five-gallon bucket for complete portability. If you’ve used the original Bucket Stackers, you’ll love these, because they’re toting 44% more capacity than the yellow version. Some nifty little extras include built-in drill-bit sizers, pencil holders and measuring rule. Sure, they were made with contractors in mind, but we think they’ll find their way into your house, too, for crafter’s supplies and household thingamajigs.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Lots of screws
Great set of stackers!!Compartments are big enough to hold a 1# box of drywall screws.I use one for nails, one for screws, and one for electrical fittings..Haven't found a use for the 4th one yet..I had a chance to check out the smaller ones (Yellow) (when they were sent to me by mistake) and I HIGHLY recommend going with the larger ones (Red)..I'd rather have a stacker only filled 3/4 full of screws than to have a smaller one overflowing..Just waiting for Bucket Boss to make a Stacker Lock that secures to a stepladder tray so you can't inadvertantly knock it off the ladder..

5-0 out of 5 stars Let's talk increased productivity.
When I'm on a job, I can need 15 different types of nails and screws-easy. I used to keep them in the lumberyard bags stashed in a 5 gallon bucket. Now let see where is that bag with the 3d finish nails? I know it's in here somewhere. Right, usually the last bag I'd look in. I bought two sets of the stackers-one for screws and one for nails, and those unproductive search minutes have become a thing of the past. My only complaint is sometimes a lower stackers will come out with the upper one and then fall off, spilling its contents. Aw, quit your belly achin'.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bigger helper
I love these things. They work so well with the standard sized stackersthat I think they should be mandatory for contractors. One or two of thesethings in the bottom of each bucket, with a standard size or two on top, makes a great combo for holding those larger sized, fasteners, or thatlarger quantity you want to carry.I use these stackers to hold what Iwant to carry from the bucket to my location, or just to tote around fromplace to place on the site. They're stable, strong, and work great. ... Got this as a stocking stuffer for xmas. At first I thought "well its cute, but what good is it?" Found out that it is more useful than I thought it would be. Holds those pencils and pieces of chalk, I use for woodworking in my shop, that I use to have to search for. Now, (if I remember to put em back) I have em all in one central location. Did have to go to the local coffee cup store to find one that it would fit on. Most of my cups are of the large variety (fewer trips to the pot). It also has enough room to hold a small sliding caliper,a 6" rule, two small screwdrivers, three allen wrench's I use a lot, a small crescent wrench, a big pink eraser, and my spare pair of reading glasse's. May have to get another as this one is proving to be most useful. I can carry it from bench to work table and have all the small stuff handy in one container. Recommend this one.

I own 3 monster hooks and recently i broke one. I went back to home depot to purchase another one and they no longer carry them. Which realy had me worried because the monster hook is one of my favorite tools. This thing has saved me so much time, it's irreplaceable. I'm very glad i've found this page.

4-0 out of 5 stars Don't wast time or money , buy two!
I purchased one of these after reading about a contractor that made one out of a bucket handle. It works very well for holding your 18V Makita, nailer, or whatever other tool that fits in or over it. For you DeWalt fans, it will match your drill, maybe even your pickup. My advice is to buy two; one for each side of your tool belt. I wish I had!

2-0 out of 5 stars Get a Bigg Lugg!
This "Monster Hook" is made mainly of plastic and aluminum, the plastic tends to break too easily. Sometimes the rivet pulls through the plastic, sometimes it just breaks in half. I've been wanting a Bigg Lugg, as it's all metal, but I cant find one locally, I guess I'll have to order one. Both are the same price, one is ust made better than the other. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Lots o storage, snap can't handle the weight
I use my gaurd everyday in a lumber yard. I carry a tin snips, marker, pens, knife etc... and this little thing works wonders. However, since I am jumpin in and out of forklifts all day I cant use it with my back pockets and the handle to the snips poke me in the stomach if I put it in the front pocket so I wear it on my side. When I do this and the pouch gets snagged a little bit on something it tears away off my belt due to the snap belt enclosure or the weight of my tools itself will do the same. Somebody said they wished it had a clip but I have used that system on the knife sheath and it has its problems. So I would say they need a slide through beld system like on their leather goods.

4-0 out of 5 stars no belt clip
Excellent product, well made with plenty of storage space BUT there is no stainless steel belt clip

4-0 out of 5 stars electrician
Im a service electrician, so i do small jobs all day long and in between im in the truck driving to the next job ,so i put tools on, put tools away all day long. I got tired of putting holes in my back pockets by carring screw drivers ect.. my regular tool pouch is big and hangs on my belt so it was too much of a pain to undo my belt when i arrive and then again when i leave. This baby solved that problem. I ended up using it in my front pocket, more comfortable and excessable. It did wear out in 8 mo.'s so im ordering a new one. if they beefed up the bottom of pouch so screwdrivers wouldn't eventually pop through i'd give it 5 stars. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

The Bigg Lugg tool holder might be a deceptively simple-looking device, but it's a breakthrough accessory on the job site. Anyone who's ever dropped a cordless drill or a nail gun off the top of a ladder or scaffolding is sure to appreciate the Bigg Lugg's effectiveness. Unlike standard holsters, the Bigg Lugg swivels on your belt, so tools continue to hang down even when you bend over or sit--they don't slip out the way they can with holsters. It also folds flat to your belt when not in use, which helps keep it from hooking or getting caught. The Bigg Lugg clips to any belt, though it fastens most securely to a 2-inch belt (on wide belts, the clasp can't pinch shut). We use ours mainly for cordless drills, but it also works well for nail guns and reciprocating saws. While the Bigg Lugg might not change your life, it will make your workday a lot easier. --Jon Groebner ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Damn handy product
An excellent addition to my tool belt. Incredibly handy, way less cumbersome than drill "holsters". I like that I can pop it off and move it to another belt with ease. Can't wait for the Big Lugg 2....

5-0 out of 5 stars Rubbermaid Step Stool Tool Box - an essential!
For years I have traveled around the country showing horses. The Rubbermaid Step Stool Tool Box is an essential tool. I have one that holds my braiding supplies and one that holds my clipping supplies. The storage space inside the stool clears away the clutter and organizes all those small tools. And the fact that it's a stool gives short people like me a one-up! At home, I have one for gardening tools and small household tools. It's very convenient to have everything in one easy to carry tool-box, rather than having to carry everything PLUS a stool. I just pick it up and go!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for fitness videos and storing weights
I use this stool when I do my Firm exercise videos. It's stable and doesn't tip over, plus it holds pairs of 10 lb, 8 lb, and 5 lb dumbbells as well as two pairs of ankle weights. It's a lot cheaper than other exercise steps.

Rubbermaid makes the best tool carrier I've ever used! The tool box should have a place to hang a lock and be equipped with a retractable 120 volt cord complete with 2 utility outlets to plug into.As you carry thetool box the legs bang into your legs. This is a great product! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Not for Manly Tool Stuff ONLY!
OK, I bought several of these Bucket Boss Bucket Seat Pros for the USUAL uses - lids with convenient hardware / small tool storage. And the seat works GREAT for it's intended purposes! My wife came up with the idea (after thoroughly washing, of course) to use the seat to put vegatables and dip in. She uses a 5 gal bucket as a picnic basket, filled withice, soda, food and enough room for plastic plates and utensils, paper napkins in a plastic baggie, etc. We're all set!
The possibilities for the complete Bucket Boss line are endless!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good organizer & seat but not built well
I found the Bucket Seat Pro to be a great idea. Great storage for small parts and tools but the seat broke at the hinge. The design creates a stress spot at the hinge that isn't strong enough to hold your weight. Too bad, it was great while it lasted (one year).

5-0 out of 5 stars bucket boss seat-lid
Very nice for storage of any type of small parts, examples-soliderless terminals, bx/romex conn., wire nuts, wire staples, plug fuses, ect. You can also stand on the top of it to use buckett with lid as a short ladder or stepping stool; and aaa yes, as for those of you who can sit on the job, a nice seat. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars Let's Get Organized !!
This set of four stacker system, with four compartments each, has greatly aided me in trying to keep my shop organized with the various screws, nails and brads that I use in my craft business. Each compartment is labeled and I know that the exact item that I am looking for is in the "screw" bucket. It has eliminated the boxes of stuff from piling up on the workbench.

Better yet, when I go off to a craft show, I just take the bucket with me, and I know I have everything in hand that I could possibly need. Plus, when the supply of a compartment gets low, I know it is time to fill it up, rather than hunt through the various boxes on the work bench hoping that I have more.

I do have to watch the amount of hardware I put in the containers.Too much weight tends to make them a little "too flexible" and difficult to handle.

A great "investment" and time saver for me.

4-0 out of 5 stars smart idea
Each time I need to set up a new truck or trailer I put together 3 of these sets. 1 for fastners, 1 for electrical, and 1 for plumbing. They keep the truck well organized and save me the lost time of having a man run to the hardware store for a few inserts. They are one of the best ways I have of keeping supplies on hand.If I could change anything about the tray it would be to have a tray divided into 6 sections for smaller parts. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
Worth the extra money it costs comparded to other bags. This bag is built heavy duty. I have tried several other tool bags and this one works the best.
Pros: Will not tip over in van, Tools are easy to find, built strong, nice carry strap, Zipps closed (keeps others out of bag).

Cons: price, heavy, can't store as many tools as other bags.

The fact that I can't store as many tools as my other bags turned out to be a good thing. I found that I was dragging around a lot of tools I forgot about or didn't need.

Great Bag - a recommended buy!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE CADILLAC OF TOOL BAGS
THIS IS A REALLY GREAT BAG AND A GREAT ORGANIZER FOR YOUR TOOLS.I'VE BEEN THROUGH QUITE A FEW TOOL BAGS AND NONE OF THEM COME CLOSE TO THE QUALITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY THIS BAG. THERE IS NONE LIKE IT!

5-0 out of 5 stars THE FERRARI OF TOOL CARRIERS
I decided to spring for a Veto, and I spent part of this evening moving all my hand tools into the new bag -- the model XL, for a $120.

I cleaned everything from a Husky bag (the $35 one from HD), and still had room to spare, even though it is way more compact than the Husky.

For that kind of money, you'd expect the thing to be well made -- and it is. Head and shoulders above anything else I've seen -- CLC, Bucket Boss stuff, the HD Husky bags, etc. Only time will tell how it holds up, but it looks like something you would end up handing down to your kid.

But what impressed me most was the careful thought that went into its design. There is a nice combination of smaller pockets for specific tools -- torpedo, channelock, etc -- and wider pockets that will hold two or three pliers, for instance. Each side is identically configured with pockets. There's a 2-3" kind of tray at the bottom of the bag on each side, which is just long enough to comfortably fit a hammer, Wonder bar.

At first, I didn't see the logic of the zippered cover on each side. The bag has a slightly triangular shape (when looking at it from the end), and when the flaps are zippered up, it is really easy to carry -- no tools hitting the side of your leg, doorways. the handle is big and substantial, and they also provide a heavy duty shoulder strap.

You really have to load this thing up with your tools to appreciate it.

EDIT:I bought this bag last November and have been using it hard for about four months now.It has held up extremely well -- nary a sign of the wear and tear it has been through.

Functionally, I would say it has worked out even better than I expected it would. After you use it for awhile, you start to remember which tool goes in which pocket -- and from that point on, it is very quick and easy to find particular tools. No rummaging around in a tool box.

I still very highly recommend this tool bag. ... Read more
