We needed a few more alarms around the house and these were priced right.

They have a mount which secures to the wall, the sensor unit can be taken down by rotating off the mount. They even come with batteries.

Editorial Review

The smooth, contoured grip on Black & Decker's Mouse sander/polisher fits snugly in your hand, making this tool remarkably easy to use. The two interchangeable bases are easy to put on and take off (although we had to do it a couple of times to get the hang of it). The iron shaped base is specially designed for larger sanding, scrubbing, and polishing jobs, while the base with a detail tip is perfect for maneuvering in smaller, hard-to-reach areas. The Velcro fastening system makes paper changes quick and easy, saving you both time and frustration. And, because the tip of the sandpaper commonly wears out first, each sheet of sandpaper comes with an extra tab; simply rip the tab off along the perforated lines and use it to replace the tip when it wears out. The Mouse runs at 11,000 orbits per minute, a nice balance between strength and finesse.

We tested ours sanding in between chair spindles and were immediately impressed with the smooth (and fast) results. Then we switched bases and put the Mouse to work on larger surfaces; vibration was minimal. The Mouse is easy to control--which is a big plus if you plan to use the tool for long periods of time. It's a great buy for home hobbyists. In fact, when you get right down to it, your imagination might be the only limit on how many projects this tool can tackle. --Dori Anvinson ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars B&D Mouse Blowing Oil!
I just bought the B&D Mouse sander for some detail work I am doing on walnut cases.I found after I started using it that it is blowing a fine mist of oil off of the bottom of the motor area - and staining the workpieces.I tried setting it in a small box and running it for about 45 minutes, only to find it still spraying out oil.Back to the store with this product.I'll buy higher quality instead.

1-0 out of 5 stars Save your money
The Black & Decker mouse sander is a complete waste of money.A lot of "Flash & Thunder" but very little in the way of actual usefulness. It makes all the appropriate sounds and certainly feels like it's vibrating, but didn't perform very well at actually sanding someting.

If you want a sander to get in corners, give the Fein Multi-Master a shot. No, I have no connection to the Fein company in any way.

3-0 out of 5 stars Really good - except
I've had my mouse for about a year. For the most part, it's had very light use. Recently, I started using it more and it's had moderate use this summer.

It fits my hand nicely, is friendly in terms of ease of use but the hooks on the pad have worn down to nothing. The sandpaper simply won't stick. I'm pretty disappointed since I'm in the middle of two projects I'd like to finish up before the rainy season begins. And it's had light use.

I've tried to find a new "interchangeable pad" for the regular tear drop sandpaper but there don't seem to be any. So I'm faced with purchasing another mouse or trying something else. The motor seems fine so I'm reluctant to buy a whole tool when it just needs a $5 part.

Also, the Black and Decker sandpaper wears very quickly. Fortunately, there are other makes of hook and loop sandpaper and these have been much more satisfactory. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible plane...
this is really not even a plane; it works more like a gouge and scaper. If you plan to use it on wood, don't! Don't make the same mistake I did. All I got was gouges all over my board. The ergonomics of this unit is just horrid. Your hand will get tired after a few strokes. Buy a real planer if you want to work on wood.

5-0 out of 5 stars Does what I want it to...
I've had a couple of these for quite a few years. I mainly use them for putting contours on jewelry box lids. I start in the middle of the lid, going with the grain, and dig deeper as I get to the edge, then "lip" it up a little. This little plane allows me to adjust the flare of the cut as I go along, makes a more random looking contour. Trying to do this with a regular handplane takes twice the work because you can't make those flare turns in the middle of the cut. Hope that made sense to the reader. Guess ya gotta be there. At any rate this is a great little tool, for not a lot of money. I have quite a few hand planes, and use them all the time. This is more of a carving tool for me than a plane. You can get very nice results with just a little practice. Highly recommend.

4-0 out of 5 stars It works well within its limitations!
I have owned this little "pocket plane" for a few years now, using it on both drywall and wood.I can say that is does indeed work wonders on drywall - it cuts agressively so you can quickly shape the drywall as you need it.With wood however, it is another story. Here the main benefit of this thing - its small size -is also its main drawback.Your hand gets tired pretty quickly if you try to remove much wood with this tool, because it is a one handed operation.I have no complaints about its ability to cut and remove wood, just that what you ask of it is very limited by its small size.

I recommend this tool to anyone who will use it on drywall at a jobsite, otherwise pay the few dollars more for the two handed model! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not much to choose from
My property has many types of trees and the need for cutting and trimming is constant with disposal being a major problem. You either burn or pay a high price to take to the landfill, neither of which does the environment any good. I knew a chipper that performed well would be a huge benefit but my last experience with one was a 5 HP Craftsman and a complete waste of money. However, unless you are willing to spend several thousand dollars for a low-end commercial unit, most of what is offered for

4-0 out of 5 stars Mulching monster
After looking around for the most horsepower and diameter capacity in many chippers, I chose the Troy-Bilt. Chippers with a capacity larger than 3" were out of my price range anyway. The primary diet for this machine would be Cedar trees from the Texas Hill Country. I had a fresh pile of cedar stacked up and ready for mulching. The pile was 10'W x 5'H x 45'L and became mulch in the course of 9 hours of steady feeding. Stopping only to refuel and reposition the unit. The chipper never bogged to a stop and was able to eat everything that would fit in the 3" chute. The shedder portion would probably work fine on pine cones and leaves and such, wasn't much use on the material I had to deal with though. The engine started every time with one pull and a tank of gas lasted about two hours. I found this unit very capable for the task and it was also safe to use. Ear protection is recommended as there will be lots of racket while you're feeding it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good non-industrial chipper
I live by a large river and occasional floods bring lots of debris that must be removed. The 10 h.p. chipper eats 2" branches easily.Crooked branches that bend more than about 30 degrees are difficult to shove down the chute.More bend than that requires the branch be cut or broken into straighter pieces.Small, green, side branches up to 3/4" easily fold back as the limb is fed into the chute.Toward the bottom of the pile, there is usually a bunch of small branches, bark, and leaves that I scoop up by the double handful and drop into the shredder hopper. I've not had any problem with the shredder jamming because I don't throw in a big clump.Rather, I slowly remove my hands so the mass of limbs, bark, and leaves can separate as they drop into the shredder.I've had one jam and that was because it ran out of gas just after I fed it a big bite. After refueling, I couldn't restart it with the trash in the shredder.I would expect that.

For the price paid ($800) this chipper does everything I could ask. I didn't expect to be able to drop in a 3 1/2" each limb and have it digest it while I looked for another.Big limbs require some effort to feed, but the engine bogs down only slightly.About the engine, it starts on one or two pulls max. When this one completely wears out, I'll buy another. ... Read more

My new stanley fatmax is advertised to stand out to 11 feet.
Ha HA mine may make it to 9 feet 6 inches.and Stanley won't even respond to my e-mails.
Is this the way to treat a long time custmor? I think not

3-0 out of 5 stars Now.......my secondary tape
I've gone thru three in one year. I'm a builder so that is slightly above average for my use. But I do keep buying them. My major gripe is that none of them really stay hooked very well when moving. Also they will slice through your finger in a flash if you're used to finger braking.(too fast retract) It is also tempermental in retracting if used past 15ft. I've seen 'em live & die from second floor to concrete. BUT....it does have a fantastic standout. Good, but buy it on sale.

2-0 out of 5 stars Replacement Blades for Fat Max Tapes
I really liked the Fat Max 30' tape. However, Stanley does not make replacement blades for it.My Fat Max is a little less than a year old and has developed a hole at about the 11 foot point.Because no replacement blades are available, the cost forreplacing it with a new one is too high.Too bad Stanley doesn't stand behind the fat max with replacement blades like they do with some of their other less sturdy tapes. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great deal on a planer
I have used this planer primarily on doors in my house. In particular, I've found it long enough to get the start and end of the edge planed without "clipping" the edge. I'm not an expert door-hanger -- but it has easily paid for itself in saved labor costs.

A few words of advice on (interior doors). Plane when your house is MOST humid (usually in the summer) as the doors expand and you want them to close easily when they are most expanded. Be sure to plane an extra 1/64" or so to allow yourself a gap for a primer and at least one if not two finished coats of paint on the side edge of your doors. As for the tops and bottoms, leave them unpainted to allow the wood to dry if they are new doors, otherwise, a matching primer is more than enough and you need not bother with a finish coat of paint. Unless your doors is really badly off, you will not need to re-seat the hardware, but be prepared to if necessary. But before you start, make sure all of your hinge plates are on tight. No use taking a plane to a door if the problem is not the size of the door, but loose hingest. If so, replace the hinge screws with longer ones, and be sure to pre-drill the holes first to prevent cracking the door or jamb wood.

This tool beats hand planing allowing you to complete a door in just a few minutes. It will take you more time to get the door off and remove the hardware than to plane the edges. Adjustments are easy. I found this tool to be almost identical to the Makita planer which I borrowed prior to purchasing this one. ... Read more

Editorial Review

The business end of this push reel mower is solid, sharp, and everything a reel mower should be, with five heat-treated, knife-sharp steel blades that can be adjusted for nine grass heights with very easy wheel tabs. With its 10-inch wheels, radial tires, and 18-inch cutting width, this mower should enable you to cross whatever terrain and reach whatever hard-to-access rogue patches of grass you desire. There's no soft cushion on the handle, which is too bad, but otherwise, the Scotts Classic is a durable, well-constructed, simple device. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars It will need to be sharpened before it will cut grass
Out of the box, this lawnmower cut grass only in the middle 14 inches; 2 inches on the left side and 4 inches on the right side cut nothing. To advertise this mower as not needing sharpening for one minute, let alone for two years, is deceptive and a blatant lie. Could this be the reason the sharpening kit (for another $25) is on 5-week backorder?

5-0 out of 5 stars Lawn looks Good & a good workout too!
My husband is the resident lawn and garden specialist at our home. In fact I have never mowed a lawn in my life because the fumes and noise give me a headache just as a bystander. Now that he is traveling more with work we contemplated getting a service while he is gone - but instead I bought this mower and used it for the first time today. I really like it. No it isn't as perfect as his power mower - but it is pretty darn good. Quite a workout too - which is OK with me. I can't compare it to the effort of a power mower but it did get my wind up and I was working muscles! For any women who are interested in the effort involved - I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs. - work out 3 x week & it was still tough but totally doable. Does a good job on edges as well. Put together time about 30 min. I will get alot of use out of this one - the dogs loved chasing me as I pushed briskly. Just hosed it down for clean up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Overall
I found a used Scotts Classic locally.I'd been exploring the ideaof a reel mower since the gas push mower we own is tricky to start and currently not working.I wanted a "backup" mower just in case repairs to the power mower took longer than expected.

Additionally, with gas prices rising, I've been looking into things like electric mowers-- but who needs the cord, or a battery that dies?My neighbor has a corded model, and it doesn't cut well, and looks like it's consistently a pain to use.But I still admired the eco-friendly aspect.

When I happened across the Scotts Classic used for $75 I knew I'd hit the jackpot since I'd seen them online for significantly more cash.I bought it right away and today I used it for the first time. The grass was slightly damp and slightly bent over; this was the first mowing of the season and I let it get a little too long, I thought.

Well, the Scotts Classic went right on through. It didn't do a putting-green perfect job, but the lawn looks much better than it did before I mowed, and I think that in the future when I'm not mowing such long grass, the mower will catch more of it.I overlapped my swaths by several inches but I mowed at a pretty good clip (the mower is light and easy to push) and it didn't take any longer than it would have with the power mower, honestly. There are some edging places I'll need to use a string trimmer, but I probably should have done the same when I was mowing with the power mower, anyway.

Ours is a small, flat, urban yard, with a fair number of weeds (we don't use chemicals on our yard because I am lazy, cheap, and because I like the violets that would be killed by a broadleaf herbicide) and the mower did a very good job.Even a couple twigs didn't stop it-- I was impressed!

I'm glad I bought the Scotts Classic and would do so again. What I initially bought as a "backup" mower may well become the one we use most often. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars A design disaster compared to the older model.
Compared to the older RESV1300 model, you wonder if they tested this new model with real humans, because it is a ergonomic disaster. The new model positions the bag to the rear so you have to sling the bag over your shoulder or around your neck, which becomes very cumbersome as the bag gets heavier with mulch and you start to move around. And your pants are ready for the washer cause the bag rubs against your leg. (The bag on the old model was slung under the tube.)Also with the new model you have to stop when you want to change from vacuum to blower, and change tubes, and carry a screwdriver to do it. (The old model had a lever that switch functions instantaneously.)I wish I had my old model back.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for this physically limited user!
I agree with all the positive points the other reviewers had touched on.I just want to add that I have fibromyalgia, and have a problem with muscle fatigue and spasms when I do physical activity, especially in my back. This unit is lightweight, and when the bag is slung across your shoulder correctly, it doesn't feel that heavy, even when the bag is full.I had more problems dealing with the slope and tree branches than I did with the unit itself. The only way I would improve it would be with an optional extension for the tube, so taller people could use it without having to bend over to get the intake tube close enough to the leave when vacuuming. (I'm 5'8")

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Blower
For the money this blower probably cannot be beat.I had bought a Black & Decker blower/vacumn at Home Depot and returned it.It was so loud it made my ears hurt.No such problem with this blower. While it's not quiet, it was not annoyingly loud like the B&D blower or blowers I've heard my neighbors using.

It does take a few minutes to convert from blower to vacumn but it's not like I'm going to use it every day or even every week. The vacumn/mulcher did a great job with a pile of leaves I had and also was terrific for getting debris out from hard to get to places (small areas adjacent to my house and the steps going down to my basement door).I like the two speeds, as well.

The only potential downside could be that the opening at the end of the blower is a little smaller than others I've seen. This means that it may take longer to get what you set out to do done.If you have a very large yard with many trees, that may be something you want to consider. It should work fine for the size yard and trees I have (and the number of trees adjacent to my property). We'll know for sure come Fall.So far, I'm very glad I bought it. ... Editorial Review

Master of innovation, Leatherman has unleashed the Juice line of multitools, including the S2. Compared to other Juice models, the S2 packs fewer tools, but it has a remarkably sleek profile, making a great choice for people who want the basics without the bulk. The S2 sports cool, "Storm Gray", anodized-aluminum handles, and it's designed to be curvy and comfortable to hold. Like all Leatherman tools, the S2 butterflies open, exposing needle-nose pliers, wire cutters/stripper, an extra-small screwdriver, a small screwdriver, a large screwdriver, and a Phillips driver. A straight knife, scissors, and bottle/can opener can all be quickly accessed from outside the tool. We especially like the satisfying way these Juice models positively click into the open position. The individual tools are all made of high-grade stainless steel, the same quality found on other Leatherman tools. The only difference between the S2 and the nearly identical C2 is that the S2 comes with scissors and lacks a corkscrew; the C2 has the corkscrew and lacks the scissors. The S2's compact utility and stylish design make it a great gift--it's the perfect tool to carry in a purse or briefcase. --Brian Trinen ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Just Right
I can count on the fingers of a closed fist the number of times I've unexpectedly needed a file, teeny saw, corkscrew, or many of the other tools stuffed into many multitools.I don't like wimpy tools, but I also don't need to hear "Is that a multitool or are you just glad to see me?"

All this leads to my multitool preferences.I want a well-selected set of the tools that really matter, sturdy and high quality construction, and pocket-friendly size and shape.I've handled many multitools over the years.None ever hit the mark until the Leatherman Juice S2.

This is the perfect multitool for EDC (Every Day Carry). It's light and elegant enough to ride in dress pants, yet tough enough to be stuffed into my jeans. This is a pants pocket tool, make no mistake. When folded it has no sharp edges or corners to wear a hole in your pocket.Leatherman does not make holsters for the Juice series because that's not how they are meant to be stowed.

The weight and tool durability/quality are well balanced.Stronger tools would have made the S2 too heavy for pant pocket EDC.Lighter tools wouldn't do the job - as is the case with many Swiss Army Knife tools.

The tool selection is perfect too.The most frequently used tools - knife (only one blade is needed and provided), scissors, and can/bottle opener - are available without opening the pliers.Inside, in addition to the pliers, are soft & hard wire cutters and 4 screwdrivers. No rarely used tools to clutter up my clothes and make the tool clumsy to use.

The Juice tools are designed well and seem to be solidly built. The knife, for example, is just long enough to easily section fruit. It has a hollow grind for easy cut entry, yet also has a spine that is wide enough to offer good flexural strength. The blade is nicely polished. The edge is ground with the correct grit and direction for the sort of cutting the tool is likely to see.

It doesn't hurt that the S2 is also the cheapest Juice.Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Nail Gun, second time around
The first nailer I recieved didn't work properly, the driver wouldn't retract.I followed the instructions for oil, and used the proper nails but no luck.Amazon's return policy worked flawlessly. They sent me a replacement via FedEx 2nd day and I received a perfectly working nailer that looks as if it has never been used. The price was excellent and I was able to build 85 feet of fencing without a single problem.I think, based on previous reviews that receiving a gun that didn't work was certainly an exception and Amazon did an awesome job of correcting it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Reconditioned....
This reconditioned nailer like all my past reconditioned tools that I have brought (22 in all)is Brand New! not a mark on it!
It pays off big time too buy these tools, I shouldn't tell anyone this for fear these tools will sell out too quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars FR350R
I recently purchased the FR350R framing nail gun from Porter-Cable and have found the gun to perform wonderfully. My only complaint was how the reconditioned nail gun arrived with major scratches and no labels.I know this product was reconditioned, but it looked like it was used on a job site for many years performing heavy labor.I would have preferred to spend the extra money to have bought the new tool.I also bought a reconditioned finishing nail gun from Porter-Cable that performed perfectly as well, only that the finishing nail gun appeared brand new upon arrival. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Good ladder, but relatively cheap finger pinching hinges
Used mine for the first time today.Very happy w/ the solid feel, and the rubber feet are impressive.Kind of like construction or hiking boot soles.
However those finger pinching metal hinges that are sure to get bent.
Definitely not upset w/ my purchase, but would spend more money for solid, smooth operational hinges that lock.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW-What a value!
A good ladder lasts a long time and will some day pay for itself many times over if you consider what your MD is going to charge you to put your "Melon" back together when you fall off a cheap ladder. I own only the best commercial ladders, one at $400 +, even though I use them only residentially. ITS CHEAP INSURANCE.
I needed a "shortie" for inside work and looked at the T6202 2'. Werner got this one right by a mile. At $69 its a serious bargain.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent ladder
As a remodeler every job I go to to work and pull out my ladder, all the other trades want to use it and then keep it.I have "killed" other 2' ladders and almost me by stepping off the wrong side, but not this one. You cannot go wrong here!I rate this a 5 star investment. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good magnet, and OK level
A 5" spirit level isn't going to be highly accurate. But when you're working in tight spaces a small level is better than nothing at all. This unit came in handy when I added some built-in DVD storage shelves in my living room between the wall studs.DVD boxes are only 5-1/2" deep, and leveling the shelves was a head-scratcher until this thing came up in my Amazon searches. With a bit of tapping to get the bubble to settle after small changes the pocket level got the job done.

Interestingly enough, I got a surprising amount of use out of the magnet even though I hadn't considered it when buying the unit.An open wall cavity is just a magnet (pun intended) for dropped nails, and a decent magnet helps greatly in fishing them out.The unit's magnet is more than adequate for grabbing dropped 8d nails. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Finish Nailer
I have owned this Reconditioned finishing nailer for almost a year now and have yet to encounter a single problem.Nailer came in perfect condition even though it was factory reconditioned.I have used many brands of nailers and would recommend nothing but porter cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
Purchased this product to speed up the process of building a deck. This item performed flawlessly. Easy to use, fairly light weight and drives nails without splitting the wood. Love it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Air nailers can't be beat.
I have the 250Ar, but I'm sure it's similar/same.I have not tried a lot of finish nailers, but I can tell you I'm happy with this one:

-- going from 3/4 to 2.5 inches is a wide range
-- tool requires a quick look at the manual to use the first time, then easy easy easy.
-- price is right -- and probably the best you'll find anywhere.

If you do any amount of finish work, I think this tool is worth it (though, you need to have/buy a compressor to use it!). I found that you definitely need to regulate the pressure going into this tool -- my best luck has been with 90lbs (or a bit less, though that's out of spec). Drives nails VERY accurately.

Mine came with nails, so I'm pretty happy!I've bought plenty of refurbished tools... without any problems ever.I wouldn't hesitate! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Ironclad has given hands a new lease with their high-tech approach to glove design. Ironclad gloves are made to protect workers' hands better than other work gloves, without feeling clumsy the way so many work gloves can. The first thing we noticed about these gloves is that they're tailored to fit the natural curve hands have in a resting position, rather than being cut straight, so when the hand isn't working, it can actually relax without the glove pulling the fingers in an uncomfortable direction. The palm of this general-utility glove is made of Amara, a synthetic material that mimics the resilience, grip, and comfort of suede while remaining machine-washable and resistant to water damage. High-wear areas are reinforced with tough DuraClad fabric, making these the toughest grip gloves we've ever worn. The fingertips are also reinforced, yet we had no problem with dexterous tasks like picking up coins. We also like the cut of the cuff on these gloves. It comes in tight to the wrist to prevent dirt or other materials from pouring in. Why so many other gloves have gaping cuff designs is a mystery. While the gloves themselves won't be damaged by water, they won't keep your hands dry for long if you're working in really wet conditions. But that can be said of most work gloves, and everything considered, Ironclad gloves are some of the toughest, most comfortable, and easiest-to-work-in gloves we've tried. --Brian Trinen ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Don't Lose Your "FEEL"
These gloves fit tight to the skin while increasing your grip and providing some protection. The key here is to wear the right glove for the job.If I am handling something sharp, I'll wear something heavier than these.Perhaps the only flaw is in the labeling that these are Heavy Utility.

I've been using these as a general work glove for a year now and love the fact that I still have some "feel" with these.I plan on picking up the framer style for situations that require more finger dexterity.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't go without them!!!
My gloves (Ironclad IC-0300GRBYU-S) that I have had and used regularly since 2000, have grown legs and walked off!!!I can't believe it.After almost 5 years of use, they leave me!!!

So I am buying another pair just like them.I have used the gloves a lot and they stand up to to anything.Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fits like a glove!
I was the first to try these gloves out now everyone in our crew uses them and now so does the loading dock/mail room. We don't do any really heavey construction so for us they work out well. Even the terry cloth on the top side of the thumb comes in handy to wipe the sweat from the brow. My first 2 pairs fit fine and were great. My 3rd pair had some glue on the inside holding down the thread which rubbed against my palm and was quite bothersome but it wore and before long I didn't even notice it. I have used these for minor construction to working on equipment with small screws. Even if your hands get soaking wet the gloves still fit well where a full leather glove has a tendacy to stretch and want to fall off. I am ordering 10 more pairs right now! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Leave the vacuum cleaner in the closet the next time your child spills a few cracker crumbs or your puppy shakes off the leaves from outside. With the Karcher K50 cordless electric broom, sweeping up dirt or vacuuming a small spill is a snap. Suitable for either hard floors or carpets, the battery-operated electric broom makes both vacuum cleaners and conventional brooms seem inefficient. The user merely grabs the broom from the wall bracket, kicks the handy foot switch, and sweeps the mess of peanut shells, cat hair, or tortilla chip scraps into the built-in dustpan--all in the time it would take to unwrap the power cord from your regular vacuum. The hinged handle allows the broom to reach hard-to-access areas, while the rechargeable battery provides enough juice for 20 cleanings. With the release of the K50 cordless electric broom, Karcher sends a succinct message to households around the world: no mess is worth worrying about. --Rivers Janssen ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works good on vinylfloors
I was looking for a light small vacuum that does not make so much noise it scares the cat. This one is quiet, but as it says in the instructions it is not equipped to deep clean carpets. It does a good job on vinyl floors.

5-0 out of 5 stars I had my doubts . . .
I bought this because my husband wanted it.When I opened it, I thought it was too lightweight to really work. But I was wrong.I'm really happy with it for quick-cleaning the kitchen and bathroom floors. In fact, it even picks up surface debris from rugs like the one by the front door that catches all the sand from the steps (depending on the rug, you may only be able to sweep in one direction).I have been using it for several months and have no complaints. In fact, I will probably buy another one for the basement.

1-0 out of 5 stars Gloves wore out in less than a week
I also work for a major delivery company in the distribution center. Granted, we handle a huge number of boxes (over 1,000 per hour), but these gloves wore out in less than a week. The first two days the gloves performed wonderfully and made my job easier, but on the third day the rubber coating began to wear off. By the end of day four, the smooth leather was showing through. By the end of day five, the fingertips were all bare of the rubber coating and the terry cloth sweat wipe was starting to fail. If you're only handling a small number of packages, then maybe these will work for you. Otherwise, you might want to wait until Ironclad issues their new version, which is supposed to be a box handler glove for those that actually handle boxes for a living. For now, I didn't think the money was at all well spent considering I only got one week of use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ironclad Box Handler - Large
Excellent grip, comfortable to wear.I use it for carpentry, work on my car, and shotgunning. The towel-like thumb works well to take sweat off the face in warm conditions.

4-0 out of 5 stars easy to install if you ignore the instructions
This towel ring looks good and was pretty easy to install. It comes with everything you need, except for a screwdriver or drill.I was initially confused about how to install it.The directions didn't really make sense, and didn't mention how to use a couple of the things that came with it at all.Once I decided to ignore the instructions and install it as I thought it should be done (screw the metal bracket into the wall, then fasten the base to the bracket with the included allen wrench) it was really easy.I didn't use any of the little plastic parts that come with it, but it seems to be firmly and correctly attached to the wall, so I've decided not to worry about it. ... Editorial Review

Packing 14 individual tools into a remarkably compact, Storm Gray, anodized-aluminum body, Leatherman's cool new CS4 is a midsize member of the company's exciting, new Juice line of multitools. Only 3-1/4 inches long, and weighing a mere 5-1/2 ounces, the CS4 really is small enough to carry comfortably in your pocket. Like other Leatherman tools, the CS4 butterflies open, exposing the needle-nose pliers/wire cutters/wire stripper, with access to three flat-head screwdrivers, a Phillips driver, and a lanyard attachment--the same tools you'll find inside Leatherman's KF4 Solar. The CS4's handles, however, harbor a different combination of tools that are perfect for picnickers: scissors, a can/bottle opener, corkscrew, a saw, an awl, and a straight knife. Like the entire Leatherman's Juice line, the CS4 positively snaps into the open position, and the individual tools are all made of high-grade stainless steel. The Juice multitools do lack the blade-locking mechanism found on Leatherman's Wave, but the blades click crisply into place and hold securely. Looking for a gift for your favorite technophile or gadget lover? You can't go wrong with the CS4. Made in the USA. --Jon Groebner ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product for an all around tool...
I have another leatherman and I take it with me everywhere in my truck. It has saved me many times before and I know it will continue to save me in the future.I just bought 5 of these since I am getting married in October for my groomsman.I know they will love it because it will be a good tool for them in the years to come and they will always think of the wedding when they need to use it.

The tools are well set, and the feel is very sturdy. This thing has enough tools to do some quick fixes if something breaks on your car, house or just about anywhere because you have the basic tools to make the repair.

Seriously, you NEED one of these for those just in case days. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars don't be fooled, these gloves suck!
after three weeks of purchase, wearing them for only 3 1/2 days of continuous use, the stiching started to come apart. these gloves are a complete waste of money. i normally buy the blue vinyl gloves and they last 4-6 months of continuous use, unless i abuse them or use in a circumstance i know will tear them. but better the gloves than the hand. with the blue vinyl gloves, i can pick up a washer on a concrete slab. i've also bought leather gloves for 11.00 and cut off the fingers i use most often, just like the ironclad gloves offer. leather feels better than the ironclad. these gloves are just a gimic-gadget, not a quality, durable product, at least that has been my personal experience.

3-0 out of 5 stars Contractor's Use
These gloves are durable for the first month as long as the don't get wet - then they shrink like O.J.'s gloves did. I have found that in handling OSB or other sheathing that the material is not quite capable of stopping the smallest of splinters from piercing your hand through the glove either. Aside from having to spend $25 a month to replace your gloves, one good aspect their ability to grip materials or help you hang onto a new roof loaded with sawdust...

The Makita gloves are far superior - just not skin tight.

5-0 out of 5 stars Could use better thread, BUT...
This is my third pair of Ironclads. I had a pair of general use gloves that served me well and I have a pair of Extreme Cold gloves that worked INCREDIBLY well while installing 108' of porch railings and balusters in 10 degree cold last January. I am not a pro but doa lot of volunteer carpentry and personal work on my house and a summer lake house, both are 100+ years old so they keep me busy. My current pair of framer's gloves have been fantastic. I have been using them for about 6 months and have washed them 2 or 3 times. I have built decks, installed 900 sq ft of bamboo flooring (beautiful stuff but you can get INSIDIOUSLY NASTY splinters from it if you are not wearing gloves!), framed doors and windows and repaired/reglazed and rehung 10 sixteen pane windows, each 6 ft tall and the gloves are still going strong. There is some thread fraying going on but all seams are still intact. Ironclad does need to come up with a better thread, but I am very satisfied with the value of these gloves. I would have worn through the fingertips of 2 or 3 pair of leather gloves by now, not to mention the grief of having to take them off frequently to pick things up or do tasks requiring touch and dexterity. Its hard to imagine going back to leather now. ... Read more
