Solid, reliable
This is the perfect size for around the house or in the car (we bought about 4 of them to keep them in both places).We use rechargeable batteries (2 - C size) and they work great.The light is just the right amount to see what you need to see without being a big bulky flashlight.Solid too - will lsat forever I think.

Super tool
I recently lost my reconditioned 3107 in a fire and I'm going to buy another just like it. Does that say anything? Tons of power. Just completly different from using a discount store vibrator. A little heavy, definatly a 2-handed affair, but thats OK. There are sexier looking sanders but the "polisher" looking handle is adjustable and functional. Dust collection is unimpressive (never connected to a vac.) All-in-all one of my favorite tools.

Great Sander - superior dust collection - bargain price!
Having been VERY disappointed with the performance and long-term quality of the Black & Decker, Porter Cable & Dewalt versions of this machine, I thought I'd try this reconditioned unit.
It is GREAT! Very quiet and smooth running with really exceptional dust collection, I am VERY impressed. It has no tendency to "spin-up" at all and the dust collection is nothing short of amazing. The only shortfall I can find is the need to remove the front handle to sand close to a vertical surface with the front of the machine.
At the price of a mediocre, inferior product, it is an irresistable bargain if you need one.

My Favorite Nail Cutting Blade
This Blade works great for cutting nails to remove framing.The short length keeps it from kinking when you hit a nail straight on.

Blowing power is great; haven't tried vac/mulching yet
After cutting our lawn, we'd always have grass clippings lying over our front porch, sidewalk, and driveway.I got so tired of always getting out there with a broom - which only cleared about half of the mess - that I decided to buy a blower.When I saw the difference in price between a blower and a blower/vac/mulcher was very little, I decided to give the Toro 51573 a try.

After cutting the lawn again, I was anxious to try out my new toy.The first time I turned it on I literally elevated on to my toes... That's how much power this thing has.It was so liberating to watch our grass leftovers be COMPLETELY cleared from every area in less than ten miutes.I also blew all of the little pebbles off of our driveway, and I plan on tackling all the dirt and debris that's found a resting spot on our garage floor.Of course, when using the blower you have to be careful where you aim.Once I accidently let the blowing stream get too close to my mulch and had to go patch that spot later - LOL.

I can actually say that I'm looking forward to fall when all the leaves drop so I can try out the vac/mulching capabilities.My father - who is near 60 - has two giant trees in his front yard and three in his back yard.Every year he has to rake around 30 bags of leaves, and I'd like to give him a break.After the Toro 51573 and I have a go at his yard later this year, I'll update my review with the results...

Great product
The toro rake and vac is a great product.I am disabled and have problems raking so many leaves in my yard, and then cleaning them up. This has helped so much because it shortens the time i need to be raking, then mulches the leaves down real great.

a shoeless wonder
The black shoe falls off regularly (which knocks the transparent covers off, as well).Received a replacement, but don't know if it's going to work.Grat for sawing curves with bevels...just can't saw straight at 90 degrees.Blades bend from lateral movement while sawing.Not a good 'un.Go with Bosch or Porter Cable.Got sharp teeth?Buy a coping saw.Or a knife.Wish I had....

Good points:

Lots of power
Accepted universial and T shank blades

Bad points:
Sole plate sticks and is hard to accurately adjust.
Both saws pulled to the left when cutting.
Could not cut a straight line using a guide fence, blade would pop out of guide roller or pull the wood lose from a clamped down guide fence resulting in a bowed cut. The cut was also off perpenducilar. Got two different stories from Dewalt on this. One person said it should saw with a guide fence(straightedge) another person said it wouldn't and I needed to buy a different tool.

Need to improve Keyless blade
I purchased this item and the only problem that I have found is the keyless blade system. The operator manual doesn't mention that you must have the blade attachment at the right position before the keyless blade will function.To set the blade attachments to the right position you will have to operate the jig saw and try to stop the reciprocating blade shaft attachment to the exact position. Perfect Middleweight
First off, the guy that wrote the review titled "More expensive with fewer features", has no idea what he's talking about.Plastic?Where?!! The colorful sides are anodized aluminum.They are not structural and make the tools feel great in your hand.And like all Leatherman's, all of the tools are first class and open and click into place beautifully.The juice models are a nice middle size between the micra and the full blown larger models.It's not too big to carry in your pocket, and not too small to do some really useful work.I currently have the Juice S2 and am looking to get this model for Backpacking. The addition of the file, saw, awl, and serrated blade for only 26 more grams over the S2 is outstanding.And no, I don't work for Leatherman, but I do love quality tools.You can't go wrong buying this tool.

More expensive with fewer features
I own three Leatherman tools, ranging from the Micra to a huge do-all tool that lives in my car's toolbox, but after examining thisunit (and the rest of the "Juice" series), I'm giving it a pass.

Here's the problem: The Juice series is nothing more than existing models dressed up with plastic scales at a higher cost. The scales don't add any functional advantage; instead, they just provide a weak areak that can break if hit too hard or dropped on cement from a geat enough height. Even if you protect them from breaking the plastic will scratch over time and lose what attrativeness it may have.

The beauty of the original Leatherman tools is that they're pure, rugged function. Solid stainless steel and they'll last a lifetime. Buy one of those and you won't regret it. ... Read more

Reconditioned Makita Belt Sander Not Reliable
I was pleased with the price of the factory reconditioned Makita R9910 Belt Sander, but after VERY limited use, I find it would not start with out a "push", and now, after owning it for 2 years, but using it very little, it has refused to start at all.I have been unhappy with its poor reliability and would not buy another reconditioned Makita product.

Good but not perfect
I used super saver shipping and it took about 3 weeks to get it. When it finally arrived, it was packaged well and after a charge fired right up.

I need to clip the hedges about 3 times a summer.
So far I've trimmed about 25 bushes and it works as well as the old electric one it replaced. Its light and so far the battery has held a charge well. I really like not having to use the extenstion cord which my Dad cut with the previous corded trimmer.

A couple complaints are that my right hand gets a cramp after about 20 minutes as it tends to continually squeeze the on/off switch probably much harder than necessary. I also notice that the plastic case seems to separate a bit when I am moving through heavy work. I'm sure there are better/study units out there but for the occasional work I do, this fits the bill. One other nice thing is I have some other tools which also use the 14.4 Volt batteries from B&D. ... Read more

Good value for the money
I wanted a reconditioned tool because the cost was cheaper than a brand new one. Considering I do yardwork only 1-2 times per month, I didn't need a "really good" one.

This B&D trimmer did a good job on branches up to 3/8" thick. Anything thicker will result in "tearing" instead of cutting.

It's fairly loud and the ergonomics are not that great. However, for the price I paid here on Amazon, it is a good deal.

The best!
If you are looking for a trimmer that can deal with shrubs and bushes in the heat, or extended running time, this is it! The price is appropriate, and the quality that you will get from it is outstanding!

Last year I bought a lawn mower; my wife was so satisfied with this purchase from Amazon, that this was the first place she looked when shopping for a badly needed hedge trimmer.

Suffice to say, we were not disappointed. The purchase arrived at our home from the Amazon.com Tool Crib in North Dakota in a timely manner via UPS; the hedge trimmer was already assembled, in mint condition (for a reconditioned item), and it came with a new purchase warranty, but not at a new-purchase price.

It is an excellent trimmer; sturdy, lightweight and easily manuverable. My 100lb. wife took a turn playing with it and was able to wield this baby in a manner that make a fan of the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" movies proud!

For the price, I would highly recommend this product, if you are in the market for a good, reliable, sturdy and easy-to-use hedge trimmer.

Never bin a big fan of gloves, but
These glove have changed my mind.Very good dexterity.I am no longer a full time tradesman, and I can't afford to have my hands in the shape they were in when I was in the field.I do more sales then work in the field, and I have developed "office hands".These gloves have saved me more than once when I have to go back in the field.I recently re-shingled my house and wore the gloves from start to finish.No calluses, no tar under the nails, and best of all I had skin on my finger tips at the end of the job.The gloves did take a beating, and I don't think they would make it thru another 15 square, but they fared much better than a pair of brown jerseys would have.A litte tattered and a blown seam or two, but the finger tips stayed on and no holes.They are a little pricey and if they were priced at around $12 to $14, I'd feel that they would be more in line with what I like to spend, but my hands are glad I made the investment.Somebody who uses them everyday will be going thru too many pairs in a year and at the price they are now you would be spend a good bit of your hard earned cash. But price them at $12 bucks and suppliers would not be able to keep'em in stock.

IronClad for Years Now
I have had these gloves for at least 4 or 5 years.They have held up great with medium use.I will use these gloves because they are tough and not bulky at all.

An old standard that keeps on working.An essential !!
I've been using these for years in the satellite tv, alarm, and the electrical industry.The 18" length is just ideal for drilling from outer walls into the interior, through top and bottom wall plate studs into walls.These are fast drilling and long lasting.I have them in 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 and 1/2" diameters.The 5/8's will be ideal for standard sheathed cable.

Fantastic, but the newer MForce is Better
This drill is the perfect tradeoff between weight and power.The 18Vs are just too heavy for long use.This drill will easily snap the heads of screws if you don't pay attention to the clutch setting.I have never felt that this didn't have enough power, and have often wished for a little lighter.But, unfortunately, you don't save much weight with the lower voltage drills.I change the chuck on mine to a 1/2" which leads me to the title.The newer MForce is one of the only 12V drills on the market to come with a 1/2" chuck standard (not all versions). ... Great, but a bit short
These are nice tie-downs (mine came in blue), but, for my Explorer Sprot Trac, if the load extends at at above the bed - they are just too short. I had a rubbermaid trash can standing up, and the strap barely made. If length is not a concern, go for it. For outside tie-downs on a full size pick up - I am not sure they will cut it.

Great Product
These tie downs are great, i bought them for my boat, it wieghs about 900 pounds, I cant belive the strength, ive went through several different 'high strength' nylon cords and locks downs to secure my new boat, and they all snap first day, ive had these and they work great, no sign of weakness yet and the boat has been put in and out of the water a bunch of times, and they still look good as new, when towing ive replaced the metal chains under the truck for these light wieght but extremly tough ties, this product is well worth the money! ...
