mine isn't reconditioned..
I bought my drill at a local hardware store a little over a year ago..it was a kit identicle to the one above, except it is/was not reconditioned..

absolutely bomb proof..mine fell off the roof of a two story building and landed on the chuck on a brick patio and it still drills straight with no wobble, although when it bounced it hit the corner of a stray brick and chipped the battery, but it didn't go all the way through the case and it still works fine..A little while later, it fell about 1 story onto an aluminum scaffold plank and it wasn't harmed by that either..I've used and abused this drill terribly, and it still works fine..I'm sticking with dewalt cordless for the rest of my investments from now on, in spite of what my co-workers have said about dewalt quality..after hundreds of charges on each battery, many of them quick charges, it will still drill several 1/2" holes through 1/8" thick steel with a dull reduced shank bit and still have enough power to shoot a heap of 2" screws into CCA decking.. ... Great product but not a great value.
This is a great product that will save the owner much time.It is a must have for anyone that does home/auto repair.I was trying to remove a rusted nut when I bought this product.I had it off in seconds.I can't say enough on how useful this tool is.I gave it only 3 stars because the Dremel 3956 or 3962 are a better value.Both the 3956 and 3962 have a variable speed Dremel instead of just a 2 speed Dremel and the 3956 includes the flexable shaft.The price to go from the 2850D to the 3956 is about $10 and the 3962 less than the 2850D.Still you can't go wrong on any of the Dremels.

One of the most usefull tools in my shop
This purchase was my first Dremel tool.I've used it to sand, grind, cut and fabricate small pieces or to modify larger pieces.You can do almost anything with one of these things.And with all of the new attachments they are coming out with....it just gets better....buy one...seriously... you wont regret it.

A life saver and a staple in any tool collection
This is a tool that you can't appreciate until you buy it and allow it to "save the day" time after time.Since I purchased this kit Ihave taken on jobs where I would never have imagined this tool finding anapplication, and without fail, before the project is finished, I find thatI not only put it to use but I would have been stuck at a dead end were itnot for this kit. doesn't work right
The volume control is haywire!Just touch it and the volume goes so loud!But that's the only time I get sound from the left speaker, otherwise it only plays from the right speaker and the left is dead.Not worth a red cent!Don't buy a reconditioned tool.This is the second time this has happened to me with reconditoned tools.I wouldn't give it even one star!

great radio
I really like this radio for the reason that I don't have to keep buying batterys. This thing will play for a long time on my 18 volt battery.

Music to my ears
I've used the Dewalt DW911R radio & battery charger daily for the past couple months, and it has performed great. The radio really works well and tunes in all my stations. The battery charger also is excellant, and causes no interference with radio(a problem I had with other radios) Best of all, the radio can be run using your Dewalt battery, great for roofing, power outages and out boating/fishing. Great performance!
A very agile and capable tool!The Makita BO5010 is very comfortable to hold - I'm a petite female so hand size is sometimes a problem, but it wasn't an issue at all with this product.It is light, very effective & easy to use.The only problem would be the dust collection system - it did collect some dust, but not enough to warrant that as a major feature.There was no indication that the one I received was reconditioned, except for the R code, no box, and no manual/information.The sander was in perfect condition! ... I ordered this saw from Amazon.It arrived in about a week.Everything was packed securely and there was no damage or dings or scratches on the bandsaw.Assembly was very simple and straight forward.Machine runs pretty well except for mild vibration even after adjustment/tune-up.I replaced the belt witha PowerTwist belt with mild improvement. The mobile base is excellent and very sturdy.Overall, I am happy with the saw, except for the following:

1.The dust collection assembly is a piece of plastic that is held in place with a small clip.Very cheaply made dust collection system and does not work well.

2.The rip fence which is made out of aluminum is not flatvertically and I can not get it to sit 90 degrees with the table.I am planning to contact Delta to get a new fence.

3.The bandsaw wheels were out of plane when arrived from the factory, but this can be adjusted.

I hope this review was helpful.

Fantastic machine--except...
The saw itself is nothing less than I expected from Delta. I received my 28-299A in 4 days; it went together well and runs flawlessly. My only complaint is with the unbelieveably cheap, plastic dust connector. It is thin and held in place with a spring clip which falls open in use because of the weight of the 4 inch adapter and collector hose. What on earth were the Delta design engineers thinking when they decided this was an acceptable feature for this saw? I have used the saw extensively and found guide blocks and thrust bearings very easy to adjust without tools. The blade tracks perfectly even after hours of continuous use. Come on Delta...improve the dust collection and make it equal in quality to the rest of the machine!

The Good, the Bad, the OOGLY..
The Good - made in USA, good fit/finish, quality materials.Overall, better materials than my Jet jointer.

The Bad - table was not flat (off by about 1/16th).I called Delta, the lady was clueless, thought I was talking about the width measurements...She did, however send me a new table.

The OOGLY - replacement table arrived, it is more warped than the original!Also in this category, the saw vibrates more than I would like.And the dust collector is useless; I replaced it with a flat, 6x6 adapter (4") by cutting two slots in the top of the adapter and adding a screw to hold the bottom.Works great with an 1100 cfm collection system.

Also, I installed the riser, but had some difficulty with the alignment pins - they are very soft, and don't fit that well.I finally had to file them down to get the riser installed.
